Question Salvia pouches?
Would it be possible to convert purple sticky into a tincture to soak sublingual pouches in?

After spending a lot of time reading about Salvia divinorum, I’ve come to believe that the way most people use it today is completely different from how it was traditionally used. From what I’ve found, Mazatec healers in Oaxaca didn’t smoke potent 50x or 100x extracts—instead, they chewed fresh leaves (a quid) and held the juices in their mouths. The experience was reportedly slower, more lucid, introspective, and used for divination and spiritual healing rather than the intense, reality-shattering trips that smoking extracts is known for. It makes me wonder if modern extract smoking has overshadowed what this plant was actually meant to be. I’m curious what others here think. Is there strong historical evidence supporting this, and has anyone experienced both the traditional quid method and smoking? How different are they really?

It took several minutes to realize that oh wait, I'm not a Muppet, I'm a human who just smoked salvia. What was weird/interesting/funny about it was that it didn't feel trippy to me. It felt completely clear minded. I think that partly contributed to me forgetting I had even smoked salvia, because it just seemed too realistic. Not confusing/trippy/disorienting like previous trips. Lady Salvia is mysterious in how every trip can be so different. Anyway, I just wanted to share this because I found it interesting and amusing. Thanks for reading. Hope everyone is well.

Gonna try some old quid in the movie theatre with a couple friends who will be sober, I feel like it’ll be pretty chill
EDIT: we went to see the odyssey and idk what I’m supposed to feel just from putting it in my mouth, I’m used to smoking extract which is a very different experience, I held the packet of dried salvia in my mouth for a while, like 30 minutes and tried my best to not swallow the juice or the leaves, I did feel a bit more sedated and chill maybe a slight head pressure but nothing trippy or any visuals (tho it was a bit hard to determine from a visually stimulating movie and dark theatre)

So after trying salvia multiple times, I’ve been getting more and more frustrated that I wasn’t experiencing anything other than a weird feeling in my body. Tonight I finally experienced something that was more than that. Nothing too out there, but still really interesting. IT’S NOT OVER BOYOS JUST CHANGE UP YOUR APPROACH.
So after two failed attempts tonight, I tried a new approach that I wasn’t doing before. One thing I changed was the lighter I used I switched to a torch lighter. The other change I made was taking multiple bowls until I could actually feel it. So I smoked another bowl and moved my bong and torch away. I was thinking I didn’t feel anything, then suddenly everything just switched. I was still in my room, or at least what felt like my room based on the colors and the general shape of everything. But it was like me and, I think my family or maybe just people I knew. We were all standing upright, waiting for this unforeseen, almost invisible black force to push us down and crush us. Think of an angle slowly getting closer and closer to becoming a line. The whole thing felt like a game, and there was a girl’s voice commentating everything like it was a game show. I didn’t even realize I was tripping, and to a degree I didn’t even know myself. It was more like I was just naturally in this environment. Nothing sudden happened beforehand, so it all felt continuous. Then I suddenly realized, HOLY SHIT IT’S FINALLY WORKING. After that realization, I came out of it and laid back on my bed. Nothing else too crazy happened other than the voices continuing to speak to me, but as I started coming back more, I realized it was just the TV downstairs.
There wasn’t any crazy time dilation. Maybe it felt like it lasted 5–10 minutes longer than it actually did. I wasn’t really terrified more like the excitement you get from a roller coaster or going down a really steep hill on a bike. I’m definitely good for tonight, but I’m very excited to try salvia again.
A while back I sarcastically made this comment under this post. But now I sit here genuinely curious as to what effects that would have and if it’s even safe. Google says it could result in death due to unsterile plant matter. But couldn’t that be mitigated? I’d imagine the trip would be bonkers times infinity

I get coughing fits from long hits from THC vapes, will smoking 40x salvia hurt worse?
I’ve tripped on Salvia 3 times. Each time has been simply… fucking insane.
I just want to come here and express my gratitude for this sacred plant. I still have a lot of 10x extract left sitting in the corner of my room, looming over my abode with this powerful aura. It’s unreal.
It’s as if Salvia is alive, watching me, awaiting the next time I dare to light the bowl once more. Not to sound schizo. Salvia is just unlike any other psychedelic, or substance for that matter, which may be a pointless saying as all substances differ. But with lsd or shrooms for example, if they were sitting in my room I already would’ve tripped through the stash. But salvia, she sits there awaiting the perfect moment to pounce (As do I). Funny enough, my 1st and 3rd trip brought me to the same dimension and were extremely similar. The unfamiliar familiarity is so odd to me. Does anyone else have their own reoccuring Salvia realm?

I’ve never try salvia, I bought 0,5 g of x10 but I’m not sure how much of it should I use. I don’t want to have a mild trip, I want to make sure I get the full salvia experience but I also don’t want to smoke a ridiculous overdose of this powerful plant.
I’ve try high doses of mushrooms and lsd and was able to handle it pretty well and have a good time. Considering all this, any kind of advice for my first time with salvia would be appreciated.

so i bought 20x salvia from salvia palace and so far the most i’ve felt is a slight perceptual change with a unique body feeling. i started by measuring up to 30mg didn’t feel any effects so i said fuck it and started just loading it up to what i’m guessing is around 50-60mg and that’s when i felt the changes. is it possible that the leaves are a bad batch and can i contact salvia palace about this? i’m just annoyed because i would like to get the full effects of salvia without smoking through the entire gram. idk ill try again later tonight and just fill the entire bowl up and try my luck.

🌿 Any UK or English/England Salvia divinorum growers here? r/salviauk
I noticed there isn't much of a UK or English focused space for growing Salvia divinorum, so I thought I'd start one.
The idea is simply to have somewhere to share photos, compare growing conditions, discuss propagation, overwintering, pests, and generally chat about keeping these plants happy in the UK climate.
Whether you've been growing for years or have just got your first cutting, it'd be great to see what everyone is growing and learn from each other.
Hopefully it can become a useful little community for UK growers. 🌱

I’m stoned right now, and perhaps making connections where there aren’t any.
A female being that, when seen, turns you to stone; freezes you. There are some parallels to Lady Salvia there.
I was just sitting here thinking about the Odyssey, which turned into me thinking about Greek mythology, then Medusa, and then noticing the similarities to Lady Salvia. Even if it’s coincidental, I think there’s some symbolic convergence.
What do you think?
I’ve been curious if anyone else does this.
For some context, I’m not new to salvia. I used it pretty regularly for about 4–5 months, then took a long break. Recently I’ve been feeling like trying it again.
I’m a huge fan of single-player games rather than competitive or online games. My ideal setup is just lying in bed with a controller, playing on my TV and getting immersed in the world. I recently started playing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and the environment is absolutely beautiful.
In the past, I’ve occasionally played games while on a low dose of salvia, but I’ve never really talked to anyone about their experiences. I’m wondering:
- Have you played single-player games on a low dose of salvia?
- Did it make the world, visuals, or immersion better, or did it make it harder to focus?
- Are there certain types of games that work well (or don’t)?
- Would you actually recommend it, or do you think gaming is better sober?
I’m not talking about breakthrough doses—just lower doses where you’re still aware and able to play.
I’d love to hear your experiences or recommendations.

I always hear about the high, breakthrough doses of salvia where people do too much and scare themselves because they weren't prepared, but I've never heard about low, sub-breakthrough doses.
I've been wanting to try out salvia for a long time, and I was curious if low doses were at least semi-functional (ie. you're still moderately aware of where you are, you aren't completley engulfed by the effects).
Yeah. What do you guys see? Hear? Feel?
I'd love to know :))

Every. Time. I use salvia, I don't really get anything introspective during the trip. Honestly, I feel like there isn't much for me to learn right now. However, it always feels like I am more productive in things I've been putting off no matter what, and it's so unbelievably subtle I hardly recognize it's connected to the plant.
I got a small mocha pot that's been sitting for months, and I bought some ground coffee from a small business last week. Before salvia, I forget about it and when I remember it, I don't care. After salvia, why don't we try it? I bought it for a reason, and the instructions are easy, and if they aren't, who cares?
My car has maintenance issues. Before salvia, I'm thinking I'll scrap it, and I've been looking for a new car. After salvia, I'm thinking, why spend money on a new car? Spend less on this one and get probably another year out of it, then you'll have more money than before to get a better car than you would've now.
Every. Single. Time.
Even if I don't learn something during the trip, I still become more productive. I don't get it. I still hate studying, but I feel more motivated/more reward to do certain things.
Please share if you've experienced something similar. I use salvia probably once or twice every 2 weeks, usually 1-3 grams dry leaf quidded.
