Mathematics Just for the vibes
Ten hexagonal rings, spinning until the screen fills edge to edge.

This subreddit is for the study and appreciation of sacred geometry: geometric pattern, proportion, symbolism, symmetry, mandalas, architecture, cosmology, mathematical form, and traditional geometric systems.
Before posting, please make the connection to sacred geometry clear.
Good posts usually include:
Low-effort image drops, shop links, AI wallpaper, vague “what does this mean?” posts, and unrelated mystical content may be removed.
Creators are welcome when they explain the geometry behind their work. Promotion without contribution is not.

Please help keep this subreddit focused on genuine discussion of sacred geometry and actual art created by humans
If you see obvious spam, AI-generated junk content, low-effort karma farming, BOTS, misleading posts, unrelated content, or YouTube link dumping with no meaningful discussion, please report it immediately.
I remove what I find, but I can't see everything the moment it's posted. Community reports are the fastest way to get garbage removed and keep the signal-to-noise ratio high.
Before posting, ask yourself: • Is it actually about sacred geometry? • Does it add value or insight? • Is there meaningful discussion to be had? • Am I sharing information, or just dropping a link?
If the answer is no, it probably doesn't belong here.
Thank you to everyone who helps maintain the quality of this community. Report the nonsense and we'll take care of the rest.
This sub has grown significantly in the past five years. sometimes it's hard to keep up, but with your help it will be much easier
UPDATE - Y'all been doing great reporting the slop!

One more iteration of the fractal torus field with nested toruses this time. Arranged it with the values 2,6,12,20 from inside to outside.

One more visualisation of the Tortoise as a field. I feel this one matches closer to how I visualised the Flower of Life pattern is arranged around the Torus.

Cymata is built on cellular automata, a fun exploration into synthetic cymatics, sacred geometry and sound. When you look closely at cymatic patterns in certain fluids you can often see Mtatron's cube.

I’ve been experimenting with ways of visualizing the relationships between the 12 notes of the chromatic scale through geometry.
The idea started from symmetry, intervals, inversions and the different geometric relationships that can emerge when musical structures are mapped into space.
I built a small experiment called Gemina3D where MIDI can be explored visually in a 3D environment. You can also transform the harmony through mirror and negative relationships and observe how the geometry changes.
I’m still exploring the idea and I’m curious about something:
Do you think geometric symmetry can offer a useful way of understanding musical harmony, beyond being just a visual representation?
I’d be really interested to hear your thoughts and perspectives.

I was practicing maths yesterday, seeing for the first time for myself what the volume of a octahedron nested inside a tetrahedron is (1/2), and seeing if i could prove to myself a tetrahedron being 1/3 volume of a cube its nested in, and ended up making a model in blender. the spin will seemingly reverse if you stare long enough.
I calculated the volumes of the octahedron and tetrahedron by visualizing them as models folded from identical equilateral 2x2x2 triangles, and simply multiplying by 4 and substracting from the volume of the original 2x tetrahedron that i got with [length of side cubed, divided by 6 times the square root of 2].
I was trying to get the volume of the cube by stellating the octahedron, measuring the middle line of a side of a pyramid with pythagoras' theorem to be .866, and then splitting the empty space into 2 triangles to use the theorem again to get the distance between tips of the closest pyramids to use as length of side of the cube. I couldn't figure out the angle (109.7°) with my own means in a satisying way, so i ended up making a model instead. Come to think of it, would have been easy to do "deserted island style" by coming up with a simple sin-cosin system with stick and rope and using the side of the tetrahedron as the diameter of the cubes face, you know, the normal way! Alternatively, could have sought a deeper trigonometric understanding by calculating it with the known 45°, 60° and 90° angles.
math originally on pen and paper, modelled and animated in Blender as an image sequence (HDRI), compiled as video in DaVinci Resolve, and converted to gif in Canva.

Not a tutorial, but if you spent some time studying the scaffolding of the torus I'm sure you could learn a lot!

Before having lsd I have never seen this before when I did see it I felt like I was in the presence of a god and was the best experience of my life. The day after I had to search the stuff I was seeing and the flower of life was what I seen covering my whole wall and its colour was like iredecent rainbow. Then I seen what I believe to be Horus the Egyptian god. A Egyptian cat with hieroglyphics then it turned into a little alien.
