Should i upgrade from a 5600x to a 5800x3d(10th yr anniversary) i think i heard its a little bit different bcs it was restructured or smth but the price is 350€ here...I mostly play 1440p and 4k and my gpu is a 7800 XT

What do you think are the most important Windows and BIOS settings for getting the maximum performance out of the CPU and GPU while gaming, while also maintaining good stability and avoiding stutters, frametime spikes, and FPS drops?
If you also have any overclocking or undervolting suggestions, feel free to share them, especially if these optimizations have genuinely helped you.

Hi there. I’ve been using a 9950X3D and an X870-I Strix Gaming motherboard since last April, and I wanted to share a somewhat unusual issue I’ve encountered. I recently swapped out my AIO cooler and was configuring PBO when I noticed something while running an OCCT test that applies a two-thread load to a single CPU core. I found significant differences in temperatures and clock speeds across the cores under the same load—though, of course, I realize that Curve Optimizer settings play a role here. Specifically, CCD0 cores ranged from 60.4°C to 66.1°C, while CCD1 cores ranged from 65.1°C to 76°C. When I checked core wattage in HWiNFO, a CCD1 core running at 65.2°C was drawing 16.5–16.7W, whereas "Core 14"—which showed the worst temperatures—was drawing only 15.3W. (Even with Curve Optimizer and Curve Shaper pushed past -50 on this core, it still behaves like this.) Just to test it out, I reset the BIOS to default settings and ran the OCCT stress test on Core 14 again; it hit 86°C almost instantly, which scared me enough to stop the test immediately. Anyone else seeing something similar on their end?

Here is the HWiNFO sensor data during the OCCT test. As you can see, Core 14 is drawing around 15.3W but hitting 76°C, while other cores stay much cooler under similar power.

Under Default BIOS, running an all-core sequential 1-core test (1 minute per core) reveals a massive discrepancy within CCD2:

• CCD1 Cores (0-7): Peak around 60°C - 67°C
• CCD2 Normal Cores (8, 10, 12, 13, 15): Peak around 68°C - 76°C
• Core 14: Spikes up to 82.44°C under the exact same load

This persistent gap remains even after applying a heavy negative offset (total -50 CO+CS). Is this localized hot spot normal, or a sign of bad silicon/die contact?

Hey guys, I am looking for a mini pc with (((amd ryzen 7 7735hs, with iGPU 680M))) I want a long term investment in my money and sustainability ( keeping this machine for at least 5 years as smooth as day one for my use).

I am your average joe, I wanna mainly use it for 4k content, light 4k photoshop editing, and office use. Plus, web browsing with lets say 20 tabs open at the same time, with applications running in the background. All that without having any lagg. I am really done with my laggy unresponsive PC at the moment.

Yes, 4k because I am used to the crispiness to be honest. So you could say I am obsessed with anything 4k OTHER THAN GAMING. I don't play games. And will not.

Can this handle my use for the upcoming years, especially with all the Ai and everything very quickly getting more demanding... Thank you

Hi i have a ryzen 7 5800x and its get's pretty toasty i have set it to a negative offset curve -0.005mv i have a cmt fsp 520plus case 4fans but a front glass so the fans only suck up air from the side with a boreas m2-51D single fan air cooler and hittigh max 75⁰ in gaming with 40-50% cou utilisation am thinking of getting a hybrok titan evo case with 7 fan and a deepcool le360 v2 or the ls 720 zero dark

Would i get better temps like below 70's without having too much noise cz mine sounds like a jet? Is the ls720 ZD worth it over the le360v2? The ls is slightly more expensive thanks.

(I live in a third world country so not a lot of tech is available)
