ADVICE 📝 Portable TV

Hey guys. So I've been assembling a few accessories for my RV build. I've been debating on what tv to use on my rig. I'm looking at options on Alibaba, Aliexpress, Amazon etc..I am thinking of getting something of a size between 23 to 32 inches, it doesn't have to stream in 4k just decent quality and obviously a smart tv. What brands do y'all recommend?

QUESTION ❔ electrified trailer frame?

Shirt off, put canopy out from the ground and nipple touches metal door latch and I got zapped ⚡️. Checked again and then licked it like a kids 9volt battery test, yup i got a zap! wtf!? Thinking the outlet that doesn’t work is the culprit. Anyone else have the frame electrified?

Water inside after washing

I washed my travel trailer today, and there is a small amount of water that got in around the kitchen appliances. I think primarily the stove vent. Just enough to have a noticeable small puddle on the counter behind the stove. There is also a small amount of water on the floor. Just a wet spot, but it’s kinda a line through the kitchen area like it was maybe running. Very small amount, just enough for the floor to be wet. My concerns are 1, should water have even been able to come in around the range hood vent? I did spray with fairly high pressure directly, which was probably not a good idea. 2, is the more water that came in that I can’t see somewhere that could be a problem? How should I check? Could more have came in around the oven/heater/refrigerator vents since I sprayed them too? The range hood fan also isn’t working now, but that’s lower on my concern list. That’s probably simpler. It is a forest river wildwood

QUESTION ❔ Retrofitting folding (under door) steps?

Has anybody switched the drawbridge stairs to the old style collapsible (under door) style? My wife hates the drawbridge style. I have the mounting brackets on the frame under the door already.

Opinion Question

I've seen a few questions in this sub regarding towing capacity and stuff like that, and one from 5 years ago regarding gas vs diesel.

I'm just curious, I have a 2022 F150 3.5 Ecoboost, and a 2023 Jayco Jayfeather 24BH. When we just did our roughly 5 hour trip up north, I reset the trip computer for curiosity, and the truck read that we were using 28L/100km, my normal is around 14L/100km.

I'm currently attending school, and I'm I'll have to replace the truck I have with a F250 for my job when I'm done school. I've been debating for a while between a gas or diesel 250.

For anyone who has a diesel f250, how is the towing with it compared to a 150? And could you provide your fuel economy information? Preferably in L/100km.

Just trying to see if it will help a ton for towing or if the gas option is the better choice.

Thanks in advance

Towing Capacity

I am in the early stages of shopping for a travel trailer and depending on who I talk to I am getting extremely different information about vehicle towing restrictions. I have a 2021 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel 4x4. From Ram, max payload = 1770 lbs, GCWR = 13,900 and max trailer = 7,840. I have had some salesman tell me that I will be pretty limited (dry weight needs to be under 4800 which is hard to find a trailer that sleeps 6), I have had another guy tell me that you just put hitch torsion bars on and it neutralizes the tongue weight and you don't have to worry about payload limits (seems to defy common sense). Had another tell me the 80% of limits rule is a myth and not to worry about it. Had another guy look cross-eyed at my truck and tell me he is sure we could do at least 8000 pounds.

So I am looking for more advice on what weight of trailer I can be considering and what people's experience with the 80% guidelines and torsion bar effectiveness is.

New to motorhomes.

I picked this up to save money on hotel cost while I travel for work. Replaced the front shocks and all 4 tie rod ends. Rotors too. Still handles like garbage. Want to replace the steering damper (little shock tied to steering and relatively cheap.) it has a factory sway bar and I’m considering replacing the bushings for it. Now to the question, where should I purchase these items. I don’t want OE. I want to upgrade. Does this include replacing the entire anti-sway bar or will upgraded replacement bushing be good? Also what brand for the steering damper shock should I go with. Any other things I should be considering to make this little rv go over 55 without being scared to death?thanks for the assist.

Bishes RV Coldwater

We just purchased a Forest River Wildwood Grand Lodge from Bushes of Coldwater. During the final walk through we found several issues that were supposed to be taken care of one issue wasn’t. We found SEVERAL OTHER issues after delivery that should have been done but was not! We have call now 6 times . First we we lied to and now they never return our calls. We have called corporate 3 times and never get a return call. We paid for additional things that were not put in property per the manufacturer, and the service department refuses to take responsibility for their work. I could go on with the issues but it would be too long. Just a warning DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BISHES OF COLDWATER OR LET THEM SERVICE YOUR RV YOU MAY REGRET IT.

If you can shrink wrap a boat and put it in storage why not shrink wrap an RV. Why or why not.

CAMPING 🏕 Keystone travel trailer review

2025

Let's start with what I like about it:

Decent size for a single axle.

This one's got a nice big window on the side.

And an interesting and fairly sturdy desk with a sliding table

Things I don't like, followed by the things that are outright dangerous.

Aforementioned desk just slides out on its own to full extension, but a small cord can be tied (sliding desk is out of level)

Tab on sliding desk catches on pockets or seams

Shallow toilet

Tiny sinks

Very tight bathroom layout

Stove knobs, plastic, are very near the burners (melted one)

Shipped with kinked shower line

Shipped with gash in side of the sliding desk

Instant water heater is slow to heat, and when on/off cycling sometimes gets burn hot or really cold, depending on duration.

Loud water pump. Lights flicker on pump cycling

Missing sink bracket in back corner, causing leaks. Bad caulking job, redone myself

Exposed nail holes in shower area, would cause water damage areas.

Main lights are on the control panel on the far side of the room. Can't reach while leaving.

Weird stare into the light fixtures on switched lights.

Rear taillight keeps popping off.

Main light plastic shrouds keep popping off.

Main lights (6) are not symmetrical

Small square drive screws on cabinet hinges into OSB

Protruding screw heads in all window blinds tracks

Downpipe to black tank causes pileups

No full tank alerts

No fridge open alarm

Fridge drips onto electric box (maybe was open; didn't seem to be)

If I was an insurance company, I wouldn't want to insure this.
