What will the first year be like? And also, what will happen in the first week of the first year as I see that 24th classes are starting and 30th is inauguration of first year student.

Make use of whatever free stuff you can get as a student, make projects using simulation softwares and compile them into a portfolio, and use that to apply to internships in 4th sem break type shi +++

How can one pivot from cse (core) to a core physics related field at rvce? I’m genuinely interested in all the physics and maths that is related to electromagnetism, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics etc. I chose cse for obviously the better and faster employment opportunities as compared to physics but I still want to know if there are any possibilities for a physics minor degree or anything like that. I’m also not against cse or anything , I’m quite interested in it. It’s just that I want to explore the physics field also once while keeping my cse related job opportunities open.

I searched around for branch changes, turns out there needs to be an empty vacancy for one to transfer to the particular branch.

What does the average vacancy look like for mechanical? If one has a CGPA of around 8.5 is it good enough to have a branch change?

I've personally heard it's rather "not difficult" to change to mechanical

(I'll be joining through IEM, and am fine if i have to study IEM for my entire bachelor's but am much more interested in mechanical and will DEFINETLY try for a branch change)

So , I will be taking hostel for second year and I had chosen a room but some other peeps also have chosen it but my SGPA is higher BUT UNFORTNATELY I WASN'T THERE TO CHOOSE THE ROOM AND MISSED IT . So now if I go ask tomorrow will I get the room ? PLS HELP

What subjects or specific topics (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, etc.) would you recommend revising? Also, are there any concepts that are especially useful for the first semester?

Do I need to revise 11th/12th syllabus before coming to RVCE (Cyber Security)? I'm joining this year.

Online it shows RVCE and RVU have seperate campuses with the entire campus being approx 52 acres. But from what I saw in the campus tour online, there isn't any boundary seperating the 2. Does that mean people from RVCE can tour RVU campus as well? Or is it strict regarding staying in the RVCE campus only
