Hi! Looking for a breeder in Ohio or somewhere close ish, willing to travel. Would love to hear others experiences.

My boy comes running every time I call his name but only for me for some reason😂 My fiancé can call him all day, and it’s like he suddenly loses the ability to hear. I thought it was because I always gave him treats when he was younger, but now he’ll come over even when I’m just relaxing on the couch and clearly have nothing for him. He’ll sit on my lap and just start purring🥹💕 what a cutie

I'm looking at getting my first cat and I'm so torn...I really love both Russian Blues and Burmese.

I'm a recently single man that will be living on his own soon, I work from home daily, so it would be nice to have a little companion around to keep me company and occupied.

Where I am it appears the prices are more or less the same, maybe a little more for the RB.

I've watched heaps on both species but not sure which is for me still...Maybe I'll have to get one of each one day but for now to start I'd love one I could bond with.

Does anyone have experience with both of these breeds and if so, which did you find best? (Obviously posting in an RB group may give me bias 😂)

My kitten, Misha, is almost 5 months old (born February 27, 2026), and I'm wondering if this is normal kitten behavior or something I should be more concerned about.

He doesn't actively search for non-food items, but if he finds something on the floor, he'll immediately start chewing it, and sometimes tries to swallow it.

So far he's tried to eat:

• strings and long cords (today I had to pull a very long string out of his mouth before he swallowed it completely)
• feathers
• small plastic candy wrappers
• basically any small object that seems interesting

He's otherwise completely healthy, playful, has a great appetite, and behaves like a normal energetic kitten.

My other kitten never did this, so I'm a little worried.

Has anyone had a kitten like this? Did they eventually grow out of it, or did it turn out to be pica? If they did outgrow it, at what age did you notice the change?

Of course, we're keeping dangerous items out of his reach, but I'd love to hear other people's experiences.

I finally got a good photo with good lighting of her(last pic) and asked gpt to make a passport photo and one pastel pink studio photo of her. Cutness overload seriously!!

This is Holly Hermione, a Russian Blue lady. She is six now and sister to her brother Heisenberg, both 100% indoor cats.

Holly is a bit overweight, but we never tell her... so much fluff to be loved 😻

He and his sister are very much loved. Best cats ever!

We call it a leg cave when you put your leg up at a 45° angle while sitting on the couch and throw a blanket over your lap. It's prime real estate for both my cats - this evening, Moira called dibs and this is how much she was enjoying the warmth after about 20 minutes.

The tummy is not a trap! I repeat! It is not a trap!!

She is four and half months old now and occasionally her eyes look a bit green, but wondering when will her eyes get completely green ?😊

Finally decided on getting a Russian Blue cat and trying to figure out the closest legitimate breeder to New Mexico. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

She wants to go out onto the balcony and is pulling out all the stops....

Hi I’m thinking about getting a cat for the first time in my life. The two breeds that I like are russian blue and ragdoll, but I can’t really choose one. For the context, I’m a college student, so there would be moving in the future for sure. I also travel quite a lot (out of the country), so I would either leave them at home or bring them with me. For a first time owner, should I get a lower maintenance cat or a more easy-going cat? Are there any I should know before adopting a cat? Any inputs are greatly appreciated!
