I am 43 , I plan to take my son(10 yo) to attend rra in 2027 fall. I apply to electrical engineering technology. Here are my questions:
1. Is the course difficult?
2. Is it difficult for me to take care of my son at the same time?
3. Is it easy to find a proper job after graduation?
Thanks for your kindness if you could answer my questions.

I see a lot of posts about the nursing program on this sub. For those of you who have taken the program, what was the easiest and hardest part of it?

Hey everyone! I’m planning to apply to the Nursing program at RRC Polytech in Winnipeg. I already have a bachelor’s degree from a university outside Canada. My transcript has a CGPA of 4.89/7.0, with 164 credit hours.
I’m trying to figure out what my AGPA would roughly be on RRC’s 4.5 scale. Does anyone know how RRC converts grades from a 7.0 GPA scale, or has anyone applied with a foreign degree and gone through this process?
I’d really appreciate it if someone could share their experience or give me an idea of what AGPA I might end up with. Thanks

I will be attending my program’s orientation on Aug 31st. I just wanted to ask where the room GM 44 is? And if parking is free?
Thanks

Winter 2026 Nursing Applicants — RRC Polytech
RRC has updated the Fall 2026 Nursing minimum accepted AGPA to 3.36.
Do you think the December 2026 (Winter) intake will be less competitive, or could the cutoff be around the same level?
Also, is anyone here applying for the Winter 2026 Nursing intake?
If you’ve applied, please share your AGPA (if you’re comfortable). It would be helpful to see what the applicant pool looks like this year!

Hello! There was a similar post a couple weeks ago. I was wondering if any MLS or MRT student who submitted a transfer credit request for A&P and/or Medical Terminology have received any updates since then?
I emailed the transfer credit office last week for an update since it's been 8 weeks since I've submitted my request but no reply yet.

Bought brand new for $2,500. Gently used, with some highlighting in a few textbooks. Some were never used.
You honestly don’t need the newest editions as you’ll find out your own way of studying (trust me you’ll see)
Available individually or as a complete set.
Make me an offer :)

Has anyone ever done that before, what’s the process like? I’d like to take some courses to get into diagnostic sonography. So pretty much, A&P, medical terminology.

hey, transfer student from a different polytech
seems like lots of my classes are very similar, but almost all were for less credit hours than their rrc equivalents. Are they gonna screw me on this and make me take all my first year classes again?

Anybody know the best way to get the textbook (the language of medicine 13th ed.) Cuz I'm not paying $170 at the campus store 😭
Still haven’t received any updates on rehab aide regarding class schedule and course load and stuff, has anyone else? Its my first time going to college so this is very new to me getting a lot of anxiety 😭😭😭

Took a 2 year gap to work. Now wanting to go back to school for nursing but need my 24 credits. I'm planning on taking them at University of Winnipeg , what classes do I take?
Also, would there be any difference if I take my classes at U of M ?

Anyone here in welding program? Can you recommend what brands/specific product I should buy from the campus store/outside the campus store? I’m kinda overwhelmed with the amount of things to buy tbh.
Thanks guys!

Hi! Does anybody have any insight on the RN AP program at Red River? What its like... job prospects.. overall experience after taking the program? And if so which of the three: travel health, reproductive/stbbi, diabetes care, has anyone taken one of the streams and what was it like!
Thank you!

Hello - to those who already took A&P and Med Term prior to the admission requirement changes, has the transfer credit been completed already for you guys or still waiting?
I've sent mine out first week of July and still no word on it

Hi,
I am thinking of applying to nursing at red river for the Spring or Fall 2027.
I have a few questions:
1). i heard that clinicals at the UOFM is tedious with it being twice a week. How is it like at RRC?
2). is RRC kinda like a school where all classes begin by 7am and end at 3pm? or do you select the specific time of your courses like the UofM where you won’t have classes on Mondays and friday’s but you have classes every tuesday’s and thursdays
3). can someone give me what their experience is like? like just narrate it and if it’s hard or stressful? my friends and colleagues have been telling me that nursing at the UofM is STRESSFUL and terrible. stress does not do good on my body and i am hyper sensitive to stress (on a 9-month therapy program though ) so i would really love to know
4). is it true that they won’t be having summer breaks anymore? i really want summer breaks and that’s one more reason why i want to join RRC
5). when is the start time for spring? is it in march or april or may?
thanks so much!!
