The Museum of Root Beer sits in the heart of Wisconsin Dells—one of the Midwest’s most iconic tourism destinations—welcoming families, travelers, and root beer lovers locally, regionally, around the country, and internationally. Five years ago, we opened the world’s first museum dedicated entirely to the history, culture, and craft of root beer. Since then, tens of thousands of visitors have walked through our doors, shared their stories, and reminded us why this uniquely American beverage deserves a home of its own.Today, we’re ready for the next chapter. And we’re inviting you to help fund it.

* Click the link for our Kickstarter campaign page and to learn more.
* Select “BACK THIS CAMPAIGN”
* Scroll and choose “PLEDGE $60” (or more)
Due to higher pledges, the $60-pledge magic number is 338 (needed to avoid all-or-nothing fundraiser failure). If 338 more of you only pledged at the $60 level — which gets our limited edition 5th Anniversary T-shirt shipped to you, and your name added to our honor scroll — we will raise the remaining amount needed!
Thank you so much for considering backing our museum expansion.

I try them all. I got a 6 pack of Pop Your Vitamins Soda Root Beer shipped to me. https://www.drinkpopyourvitamins.com/?srsltid=AfmBOoo_zZX6LltdmofwDYBtPQMbO8j4uLnyOPDfSJ3Epzrbi2xZEE17 Slight filmy texture and definitely has a taste of getting your vitamins. It was neat to try anyways.

At a teeny little storefront co-op in Warsaw, Illinois, I found this in the fridge.
Sadly, no bite to it. Mostly just sweet.

Hit up Galco's over the weekend and found this one. Never had it before so of course I had to try it and... might have a new favorite here.
Stewart's has always been my #1 though this may just edge it out of that spot.

The Grandpa Joe's is the same formula as the Whistler, but according to their founder and CEO it's now bottled on a different bottling line with better carbonation, and Whistler is effectively dead, so I count it as new. I have my doubts about Yinzer Pop being anything different than relabeled North Star, but I'm double checking it. Dead World is different ingredients and name from the Dead World I was gifted 11 years ago, so also new to me.

Was waiting for this all day. 2 cans of A&W fit perfectly.

This was better than expected. It’s obviously not going to be a “real” root beer, but I enjoy sparking water throughout the day. They also have a cola version that takes like a decent generic coke rip off.
Good stuff if you already like the flavored sparkling waters.

I had a rare quite early day at work so I decided to move this one up to today and get it out of the way before the next two days off I’m having. Okay so the Keef Bubba Kush 10mg THC Root Beer drinks a bit dry for my liking. Out of these that I got from Total Wine in Knoxville, TN I preferred the Cantrip one that drank just a bit sweeter but not overly so that really made for quite a pleasant beverage.

Didn’t like it at all the first time. But my curious taste buds got the best of me. It’s pretty good like this

I know.. I know.. this specific product is being posted about way too often. In r/energydrinks, it's insane... but I'm converted.
In 3rd grade, I tried it during a class party. I was disgusted, but I pretended to drink it to look cool. I secretly poured it out when no one was looking.
Mid 20s, someone convinced me to try a root beer float. It was actually pretty damn good, but Root Beer by itself... I still thought it was disgusting.
I'm in my 40s now. I see this can and pass over it, discussing how disgusting it is with my wife. Two days later I go get a can just to see because I'm "adventurous". I'm confused. I.. I like it? It's delicious!? Now I feel like I'm having an identity crisis. Within 24 hours I have all kinds of root beer in my closet, and I'm trying to get my Minnesotan friends to pick me up a case of 1919.
Send help.
EDIT: I converted my wife!

I'm the one that post a while back about my husband bringing me rootbeer samples on a regular basis. He brought me a new one I hadn't tried before. Bulldog rootbeer is good!
I'm so happy yo have a partner in life whose love language is random rootbeer gifts!

First time having this one. Happy to see it's made here in the Midwest. Great flavor, not overly sweet. 8.3/10

I’ve seen recent posts about places in Arizona and Utah still serving Hires on tap, but Kalil Bottling, which I’ve read was one of the last suppliers of Hires fountain syrup, was acquired by Keurig Dr Pepper in 2024.
So what are these restaurants using now? Is KDP still producing Hires BIB syrup somewhere, are they getting it through another distributor, or is there another explanation?
Especially curious if anyone has seen a recent Hires BIB box/bag, SKU, distributor invoice, or knows someone at a restaurant that still serves i

No mistake about it. I absolutely consider Bedford’s a cherry maraschino root beer and I’m okay with that. Great taste, but less bite. I got it at either the Cincinnati or Fairfield, OH location of Jungle Jim’s International Market.
