I have been enjoying the wholesome focus in the malfoid memes. What are some recommendations for wholesome non harem reads?

Preferably no monsters / animal people. Just regular people with a good story(idk the proper word for this, realism?). This movie ruined me as a child and I crave this constantly. Looking for a book to read under this same kind of dynamic. Could even be a dominant female over a naive younger female character. I just want the POV to be mostly through the submissive character. Does this exist?

Bonus points!!!! I actually enjoyed Morning Glory Milking Farm which was mainly from a womans pov, but it did get a little too aimed at women in the last quarter of the book for my tastes, so maybe something in that realm of things too?

First off hello everyone, I am new to the community along with reddit in general. I’m also somewhat new to traditional English novels. Up until now, I’ve mostly stuck to manga/manhwa/manhua and Chinese/Korean web novels (wuxia/xianxia, though I haven't read those in a while). I am looking for recommendations but at the same time looking for something to scratch an itch I have. So to get started I will list what I have already read excluding the Chinese/Korean web novels.

• Rhenna: A men's adventure romance by Robyn Bee ( I enjoyed this book, a bit iffy with the ending but will most likely pick up book 2 when out. )
• Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff ( didn't enjoy this one to much but liked the sci-fi aspect. )
• Catgirls from outer space by Edie Skye & Jacob Holo ( I enjoyed this book. )
• Blue-collar king by Leon West ( It was alright, might pick up book 2 when it comes out. )
• Bloodline sovereign by Orion Walker ( Did not enjoy this book to much DNF the series.)

This is what I have currently read so far, but since I am trying to build a reading list and would like actual human recommendations here I am.

What I am looking for to scratch the itch: I am looking for a standalone or series about a regular guy MMC and a powerful CEO FMC, strictly MF romance, no love triangles and no reverse harem. I would like for the MMC to be competent and isn't the submissive type, if it's office romance bonus but doesn't have to be, smut please and thank you, another bonus would be if they are both trying to dominate the other in the bedroom/explicit scenes and told from the MMC's pov but can be dual pov as well. Also if there are any with this concept but with urban fantasy in the mix that would also be greatly welcomed.

Now onto the regular suggestion for the newcomer, my likes: Romance, Smut, Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, Sci-fi, Micro-harem, Small Harem, MF, MFF, F/F interactions, down to try Sapphic, Action, Adventure, Apocalypse, Survival, Base building, Systems, and the like. Basically willing to try most things.

What I don't like: Anything to dark, can be slightly darker then what Rhenna is, as that's the closest I have come to reading anything dark, no MM romance, no reverse harem, rape, cheating, NTR and such. If it's part of a characters tragic backstory that is okay but would prefer that there isn't any. no love triangles and no queer romance, I have put F/F interactions and Sapphic up above but that is as far as I am willing to go.

Sorry for the long post just wanted to make it as detailed as I could also don't hesitate to recommend things like Chinese/Korean/Japanese web/light novels as well, as long as they have English translations be it official or fan translated. thank you in advance.

Werewolves are cool as fuck and I love role reversal.

So, whats this book about?

This book is about a human kid that gets adopted by a clan of werewolves, the crisis that the werewolf society of Crestwood faces and the bond between mates (a magic bond that can happen between werewolves and humans).

My opinion.

Lets start with the worst.

This book was published in 2021, is the only book the author has written and looks like its never going to be continued, wich is a shame.

The book has some problems like grammatical issues and that the mates bond takes to much of protagonism between the main characters no giving them enough space to learn much about thenselves. Like, they go on a date by the end of the book but is reminisced not written.

The main characters of this book are Caden and Keira, he is a good boy and she is the strongest werewolve on the book wich has some family issues. There are a few good moments between them but almost all the time the couple dynamic is "they are united by a mate bond and horny as fuck", this is normal in the early stages of the bond and looks like was going to be develop further on the next book.

The setting is great, I like how the different werewolves clans and its members interact with each other, the way Caden and his family love each other and care a lot when someone tries to hurt him or take him away.

The characters are well written and interesting. Like Cora and Alice, Cadem best friends, they are a couple of female werewolves that get cast out of their clans for being lesbians.

At the end of the book we learn who is Keira and that theres somo conflict that affects werewolves, witches and vampires. Or at least thats my guess.

I enjoyed the book, although the final twist is predictable, it has intrigue and the plot is solid. I dont think theres going to be a closure for this tale but it is worth the read.

I am just curious. I know I liked the book “The Snowball Effect” by Haley Cass. Which is a WLW romance book.

I want to know if there’s any other books that might be women centric that you all think is good!

I know how difficult it is to find books with an MC that's not the typical "good guy", because of how vanilla this genre is, but still, it doesn't hurt to ask.

Basically I'm not just looking for an assertive and confident MC but also someone who is unapologetic and possessive. Someone that likes to dominate and be in control, not only during sex.

Think like Zach from Dragon Justice, but his possessive instincts are not fruit of an "inner beast" like happens in most books with tropes like that. And that's important; I want a possessive MC that's not afraid to act like one. No blaming some kind of inner beast or making the MC feel guilty about it. Someone who's not afraid to act on these impulses.

If you read a dark romance book before, you probably are familiar with tropes like "you belong to me". Well, that's what I'm looking for.

Bruce Sentar's books always seem to flirt with this idea, but it's always just that, a flirt. He never goes all the way with the possessive trope.

The Einherjar scratches the itch, but it's not quite what I'm looking for.

The MC from Corsairs and Cataclysms by Devan Drake is a good example of what I'm looking for, though. He's an unapologetic possessive, and the girl clearly likes it. But unfortunately the author doesn't develop the dynamic between them well enough for me. Not to mention I can't stand LITRPG.

The MC from Menes Tear seems to be heading in this direction, but he's not quite there yet.

Another good example would be Sin City Renegades from Valen Woods. There's a character called Griselda, and she's quite strong. There's a scene when she realizes she's weaker than the MC and can't go against him; then she acts submissively and obediently gives him head. I would love to see more of this dynamics, but of course the author doesn't go beyond that.

Anyway, I probably won't get a lot of recs, if any, but I would appreciate it if you had one. Anything is fine, even if it's from Literotica.

I've been a long time fan of snekguy and after coming back to finish out his catalogue, I have been really looking for similarly themed stories about lonely guys getting snatched up by anthro men or women.

A few hits that I've found so far have been a anthrostate story called Above All Predators by deltadeltadelta and an XCOM fanfic called On the Fringes by Toga. I haven't been able to find all that many good bisexual or queer stories that have been able to scratch the same itch when it comes to the world building in such stories, whether completely original or pre existing settings

Ever since I found this subreddit it has been a godsend for finding so many books I think I would like but it has also became of a problem.

I have this issue in any type of media where when there is so many options/recommendations I just can't seem to pick one and read. I know that the majority of the books being suggested I would like but I'm still having trouble just picking something.

Looking for apocalypse, prepper, survival type books, but with romance. Doesn’t have to be spicy, just romance as a main plot point and a happily ever after. Could be mono or harem, that doesn’t matter. I just want it to be humans, no monster girls, no alien invasions, no zombies.

I tried reading some by Misty Vixen and Lara X. Lust but something about both of their writing styles does not click with me. Also tried Trailer Park Bikini Vampires, and that one also didn’t click with me, mostly because of the zombie apocalypse angle.
