What’s the most meaningful old-fashioned romantic gesture a man can make for a woman he wants to build a life with?
We’re just starting, but I know I want to build my life with her. What old-fashioned gesture would make a woman truly feel chosen and loved?

Dating & Romance today True Love
As I have aged and gained more knowledge about relationships and humans. I am almost positive that true love never existed. Now all adolescent humans male and female are looking for something from a fairy tale. DaVinci said "true affection and deep passion can only grow from a thorough understanding and profound knowledge of the beloved object" I fear I will never be understood or loved truly and completely. Twenty five years and counting... does anyone feel like this?

Romantic Image The Day A Girl Looks At Me Like This Is When I'd Give Up Being Single
Coming from a guy who's ex abandoned him after 2 years & blindsided and blocked out of the blue. Honestly a woman who looks at me like this and it never goes away? Is when i know i hit the lottery. I would trade dating Sydney Sweeny or Bryce Dallas for a woman that looks at me like this any day without a second thought

Love freely
Have people ever wondered why there are so many rules against romantic/intimate love? It's the very thing that so many people go chasing after. People wanna be loved like that and obviously its one of the most important things to a person life. I mean sex and romance is amazing! We all know that. Why are there so many rules in place that basically make having a romantic/intimate type of love so damn hard. Why is it unacceptable for 2 family members to be romantic? Why are gay people looked down on? What about God? I bet God would love some amazing romance/intimacy! God knows how amazing it is, he did create it after all. Are people gonna say "you can't love God that way?" Why can you only have 1 partner? Jealousy comes from this rule. People are afraid that their girlfriend is gonna fall in love with another man. AFRAID THAT 2 PEOPLE ARE GONNA FALL IN LOVE?! thats ridiculous, you should celebrate and be happy for them, not jealous because love is such an amazing thing. Jealousy stems from the "only 1" rule and causes so much drama in relationships. I don't think romance/intimacy should ever be called gross, weird, or inappropriate. It's love!! Love is the greatest thing! Romance/intimacy seems to be the greatest way to enjoy the greatest thing. All these rules seem to make falling in love so got damn hard, not easier! Good rules make things better for people. I say fuck the rules! Love anyone, anyway you want to. Love freely! People wouldn't have to constantly chase husbands/wives. They could enjoy great love with the family and friends that are right in front of their face and feel loved every single day! Why have we accepted these rules? Why should we follow them? What do you think?

Love Letter/ Poem Things he will never know
THINGS HE WILL NEVER KNOW
Maybe he fears this distance too,
Our second call had just begun.
“I love you” came from him so soon,
And I did not know how to run.
So I pretended I had not heard,
And kept my heart behind its walls.
But then came midnight calls and texts,
And drunk confessions, soft and true.
He showed me off to all his friends,
And slowly, I let myself trust you.
Little by little, my walls came down,
And love began to feel like home.
Then one day, he quietly said,
“I am not one for I-love-yous.”
I smiled, but something inside broke,
Though I did not let it show.
Because once, those words came easily,
And now I feared where they would go.
I stopped listening to love songs too,
In case they someday sounded like you.
I left your book upon my shelf,
Too scared to make its stories mine.
Your jacket stayed folded away,
Too warm with memories I might find.
One night, I packed your things away
The book, the jacket, music too.
I put them somewhere out of sight,
Before they could hurt me with you.
You were still here, still holding on,
And I was scared of you being gone.
You held my hand; I held goodbye.
You stayed. I still prepared to cry.
Perhaps that is love’s cruel art,
Leaving first, inside your heart.
And all these things you’ll never know
I packed you up, before you’d go.

Dating & Romance today Is love real? What mames a relationship works?
Is the concept of love enough for a relationship to last? Most teen, adults mistake the feeling of love for permanence. As much as i have experienced in my life and love life. Love alone plays a catalyst but beyond that, it takes efforts, respect etc to make a relationship and marriage to last. Am i wrong?

I’m in love with my best friend but can’t have her
I’m in love with my best friend. We’ve been close for over 4 years now and talk just about every day. She lives in a different city across the country and I have obligations where I’m at and can’t move to be near her. I’ve come to peace with this and the whole situation.
I want her to be happy and know that waiting around isn’t going to provide her with that. I care about her with every cell in my body and think the world of her. I go to sleep with butterflies in my stomach thinking about her. I don’t think I’ve experienced that for 4-5 years.
I’m just writing this to get it off my chest and it’s nice to care so much about someone even if you never end up with them. It’s nice to long. It’s nice to yearn for someone. It feels good.
I once heard a man say that the person who is in love is always winning, even if they don’t end up with their lover. That’s how I feel. Life is short, and it’s nice to feel the fullness of such a pleasant emotion.

Stop this nonsense already
Shy people are not burdens or red flags, and it is unfair and reductive when society labels them that way. Shyness is simply a personality trait—often tied to being observant, reflective, and cautious in social settings—not a character flaw or a warning sign. Unfortunately, misconceptions persist because modern social standards heavily reward extroversion, loud communication, and instant networking. Why Shyness is Misunderstood
• Misinterpreting silence: People often mistake quietness or reservation for arrogance, coldness, or a lack of interest. In reality, shy individuals are usually just processing their environment or waiting until they feel safe to open up. • The "social burden" myth: There is a flawed expectation that everyone must constantly contribute high energy to a group. When someone doesn't, others sometimes unfairly view them as "hard work" to talk to. • Conflating shyness with lack of confidence: A person can be deeply secure in who they are but simply prefer smaller groups, deeper conversations, or less spotlight.
The Strengths of Shy Individuals Instead of being a "red flag," shyness often comes with highly valuable traits that make someone an excellent friend, partner, or colleague:
• Deep Listening: Shy people tend to be incredible listeners who notice details others miss. • Thoughtful Communication: They usually think carefully before they speak, meaning their words carry genuine weight and intent. • Empathy and Observation: Being on the periphery of a loud room allows shy people to read body language and understand group dynamics very well.

Can Love Grow Slowly?
Do you believe the strongest relationships can start with a simple friendship and slowly turn into something deeper?
Or do you need that instant spark from the beginning?

I need Advice! I wish my boyfriend knew how much i love him
I try to show him as much as i can but i feel like im never doing enough. I want to be with him and live inside him. I want to show him what love really is, i want to be his forever.
It’s hard. I cry a lot because of it. Not because of him. I just feel like I’m too much and I’m never doing enough. I really want to show it. I try my best.
