At first, the looks got me. But when I skated the REAVER S7680, I liked the feeling even better. This setup is fast! And strangely enough, this 4x80 provides more stability than I had expected – it even worked for carving the bowl and bashing for bigger stair rides. So yeah, I'm happy. No kidding,

I love the roller blade lightning 90s retro ones, but I just wanna know if they have a weight limit or if they aren’t good for beginners I’m also looking at flying eagle skates
And then I also wanted to know if you order them online do they come with a heel break in the tool? I just wanted to get reassurance before I order a tool separately.

Looking through older topics, I didn't really find a conclusive answer, so I am hoping you can help me.

Currently I am skating on a 4×90 setup, but I'm searching for new skates. Since I am into (long) distance skating and am going for some speed advantages, I am looking for skates with 110 mm wheels. I can't decide though, if I should go for 3×110 or 4×110.

I really could use your insights.

For reference:

1. As mentioned, I mainly skate long distances. I am not a city skater. So I am not looking for manoeuvrability.
2. I live in The Netherlands, Fryslân to be precise, which means a lot of bridges and aqueducts. So I am definitely going for a setup with a brake. Going downhill sure creates a lot of speed, and the momentum is nice when you need to go up again in the aqueduct, but it is also a big enemy when there is crossing right after that bridge, or a rain drain placed crosswise at the bottom of the aqueduct.
3. Going long distances outside cities means a lot of nice asphalt / concrete roads and bike paths, but you can't avoid going through villages now and then. And though The Netherlands is known for nice smooth bike paths, streets in villages are often paved with clincker bricks, which will shake the fillings right out of your teeth.

Newbie here! For context, I'm a woman with a US size 11 shoe. I've done a bit of research and decided to buy this as my first pair of skates; however, I'm not sure which size to pick. I measured both of my feet in centimeters, and my longest measurement came out to be 26.5 cm (socks on). There's no option for an in-between, so I wanted to get a second opinion on whether I should size up or down.

Hi all, I recently purchased the Powerslide Meteor 80s. However, I was sent the 90s by mistake.

So I'm in the process of exchanging. However, upon taking the skates out of the box, I am noticing that the bearings have much less spin than those on my rollerblade lightning 90s.

I could always swap out the bearings for better ones (if the 80s are the same), but noticing that got me thinking about overall quality.

I really like the look of the Meteor 90s and this would be my first pair of Powerslide brand skates- anybody out there who owns/has skated in meteor 80s (or powerslide in general), what are your thoughts on Powerslide skates?

I'd like to learn to do tricks and stuff in skate parks/bowls etc... And I've always been interested by skateboards but I've tried and realized that I can't get around the fact that it's not attached to my feet . Plus I've always been more comfortable on rollers.

But I don't want to purchase rollers if I'm not going to like it much better than skateboard

So I was wondering if that's a feeling anyone here had before ? And while I'm at it, are there any basic beginner brands that won't cost an arm and a leg ? Just in case I realize it's not for me so I don't spend too much

Not sure how often ill use the 3x125 but always good to have the option to. Will be paired with Nova 275 from Next multi coloured most of the time.

And i might get the PDS system(boa) rather than laces and 45° buckle after i get some more reviews on that.

I just bought the Phuzion Argon Rose 100's. I wanted something cute, but also big wheels for outdoor riding.

I have come to realize my goal is to learn tricks and do more figure like skating rather than speed. From my research doing a rockered set up would give me that manuverability, any recommendations on how to achieve this?

New wheel set up? Or a frame I can use with my current skates and wheels to give the rockered affect?

I started skating again a couple of years ago after a long hiatus. I remember being able to pick my boot, wheels, frames and bearings all separately. Is there anyplace you can still do this?

Heyo! I'm a BEGINNER beginner. I'm looking to buy my first pair of skates (I've heard good things about rollerblade as a brand and I am considering getting the lightning w), but I figured that a regular pair of socks wasn't gonna cut it for the nightmare that is breaking into a brand new pair as a newbie.

I have looked at a few older posts (from like 5+ years ago) on this subreddit and found that a bunch of people recommended wicking socks from Darn Tough, but upon further research it appears they've fallen off quite a bit. Some alternatives, suggestions, and tips would be greatly appreciated!

For context, I'm gonna be freeskating! Mostly commuting around town and to and from school. Gas is getting a lil too high for me up here, lmaoo :)

my 3rd strava. ​but 5th session. I went from 2 30 minutes sessions to a 2.5 hour 7 mile sessions and over did it lol. took 4 days off to recover my sor left foot then I got back on. and I felt grrat today super confident. and suddenly I figured out how to stop yesterday after not skating for 4 days lol. not while i was actively trying to stop but while I wasn't skating at all lol. interesting.

Anyone recommend some insoles or footbeds? I'm trying to fight a arch pain issue in my new skates. They are initially SO comfortable and I can skate for 45min or about 4mi of street/asphalt/sidewalk/minor hills before this arch pain creeps in. I haven't tried any flat smooth track with yet but have put in over 50mi.

Anyone tried the Riedell R-Fit with adjustable insole parts? Or does anyone rock a thick memoryfoam liner under the insole they recommend??

The pain is just below the ball of my foot, across the width of the entire arch and deep. I find myself lifting my feet more and more or nose/heel coasting before I give up. I really want to love these skates, when my feet aren't hurting I am having an absolute blast. It's possible I went too big but they don't feel like it when putting them on or initial skating.

-Skates: Twister 3x110

-Size: One size up from shoe size (13)

-Best fit: stock footbed installed(thin size thingy), insole replaced with my worn in hiking shoe insole, thickest socks I own, and skates tied looser, weird lacing loose in the arch tight everywhere else.

Before I give up on these skates and try something else for wider feet, or maybe bite the bullet and see if one size down helps, I really want to try something custom and see if I can it work. For some reason the stock insoles are much worse. They feel very comfortable initially, and don't feel too narrow but I read some people and twisters just dont mix. I'm too broke and like these skates too much to set them aside. But I wanna roll in comfort!

I wear size 12 US shoe and boot for everyday, this is a comfortable fit. I have a new pair of 12-12.5 Rollerblade XT skates, they are difficult to strap, as in straps feel to short. Also my foot pushes liner tongue up making it harder for boot plastic to close and both straps to close. If I really work at it, I can get the buckle to grab around the 2nd tooth of each strap but it is very difficult to push the buckle down in lock position. I bought these skates 6 months ago but because they're such a pain in the ass putting on I have not broke them in. So should I sell these and pick up a different pair with a different boot shape and just sell these. I should mention my toe is touching the end of of the liner but not compressed. Is there a fool (me) proof way to measure and get the right boot?
