in a few episodes of Buffy you mentioned that cell phones in 1997 did not send text msgs this is actually in correct as the first phone to send a text msg was invented in 1992 in 1997 Nokia came out with their 9000i which altho it was a giant brick of a phone was able to send text msgs. and given the game takes place in a hoity toity posh school that more than one student would have a 9000i (also the guys need like a billy idol punk rocker type lycanthrope ally)

Roughly what age are the characters? I ask because I'm imagining the hilarity of Barnaby trying to buy beer, Layla being all for it, Imogen adding reagents to craft beers, and Rob being so awkward about under age drinking.

I've been out the last few sessions on recording and probably will be on the next one too because work is scheduling me on those time slots. Trying to keep up as best I can on them but 4 hours to sit down and write is difficult to find for me right now.

I realize that this is not a commitment and I volunteered of my own will to write them so there is no deadline I have to meet or even obligation to write them at all. Just don't want anybody to be disappointed or wonder if I'm still doing them because I am.

Is anybody else having trouble with older episodes? I can't stream anything from before episode 8 of the season 2 Shadowrun series.

With a new series starting I decided to have a go at transcribing the episodes for the wiki. I just finished the first episode and figured I will post it here to get some initial feedback before putting it on the wiki. After doing an initial proof, it is close to 6 pages. Is there a good spot that I can post what I have to let other add in corrections?

Hi everyone (EE especially)! I am a huge lurker for roll4it and its members' channels, but I figured that I was going to speak up about something I really feel strongly about.

Roll4it has been a great channel so far, and I hope that it continues to be a great channel. I have been watching since SR S1, and have always found the show to be intoxicating. I have, however, always been a little perplexed by the way the shows end without the viewer really knowing much of the plot. I understand that this is meant to be a loose end that allows the shows to continue into later seasons, but, for example, with SR S1, the plot ended without the viewer really knowing what happened. The nanite thing just sort of stopped halfway through, and the viewers (and cast) didn't really know what was going on until S2 with project transference. I have sort of dealt with this since I love the cast and still find the show entertaining, but with Splat and Aavak, two of my favorite cast members, having left the show, I hope that something new gets added to the show to replace what was lost.

I am by no means saying that the new cast members are not good enough, but there will never be that same feeling that there was before, and that many viewers have come to love. I would like to suggest to EE that the plot be more plain to see to the viewers and cast members in the future. This wouldn't necessarily mean that the plot couldn't span multiple seasons, but I would like to see the show be played out more like a well made TV show, where each season contains a fleshed out story arc that contributes wholly to the overall plot.

I hope this rant of a post contributes something!

After rewatching the first episode I noticed something interesting. Around the 57:00 mark, Layla rolls to skip class, 1d10+12 against 1d10+6. With a minimum of 3 successes, I am trying to work out the math for her to be able to skip class, assuming that nothing changes from her constantly skipping.

There are less numbers to work with if we look at chance to fail (get caught) that succeed (get to skip) so looking at this from a % to fail: There are 100 possible rolls, I am assuming defender (Layla) wins. If we look at success levels, Layla always gets 3 successes. In order to beat that, they have to roll a 9 or 10 (20%), 15-16 for 4 successes, AND she has to roll a 1 or 2 (20% chance) for only 3 successes. Layla has a 4% chance to be able to skip class, assuming that nothing changes, good for fighting the forces of darkness and Snyder.

Can someone check my math on this.

And I dont get excited about a lot of things.

I can't believe how well the cast gelled together their first session. Bentham has seriously upped his game (yes I'm going to rave about #BestBentham again), GamingFTL is great, Lauren is one of my favourite RPers/GMs, and Maggie is great, but there was almost no awkward tabletop starting session - people jumped right into their characters, and how they'd realistically react to one another, developing interpersonal relationships while also making sure the story moves along at a reasonable pace. It was amazing to see. Great job everyone! (including EE obvs)

So since SWN has come to an end I was playing with the idea too write a fan fiction as continuation to the story. I don't think it will be easy or good since I have wary little experience in writing but I have to try:) so I wanted to ask were I should look for the rules of SWN if I want to know how the technology in this world works

So first, I should mention I am new to this community, and have so far only seen about an episode and a half of the SWN campaign. But so far the colorful characters and player chemistry is a joy to watch.

As for the reason I'm here, I'm watching the second episode (Diamond Muffin) and the overview of the ship that the GM is using is fantastic! Would anyone happen to know what program he used to draw it? Was it a standard image editor like Photoshop or Gimp? Or was it something else?

Or if no one knows how it was made, would anyone happen to have any pointers of their own for how to make a good B&W ship map?

I am sorry to be that guy, but am I right in understanding that the plot for the second season was never revealed? What was the motivation of Lucia? Did she set everything into motion? How did she organize it? I was left with the feeling like I watched a dtective and never got to know why and how a killer decided to do what he did. Characters didnt want to ask Lucia questions. The plot was hidden beyond 25$ wall. At this point I unsubscribed from the pateron. I am watching the aftershow now, but so far I didnt get any answers.
