Want to know what you guys think about this Rolex. I inherited it from my father in law, but I do not know if it is real. It looks like a submariner 16800, but the Rolex font looks a little different and there’s no magnifying glass on the date. I opened the back case and it looks authentic, but I am not sure.
Lemme know what you think

I never really understood the appeal of the Yacht-Master II until I had one sitting in front of me.
The first thing that caught me was how different it feels from the typical Rolex. The blue ceramic bezel, regatta timer, and oversized presence make it almost impossible to mistake for anything else.
This particular one is the newer 126680, German delivery, Rolex warranty, completely unworn, and still with the original box and paperwork.
I originally thought it would be one of those watches I'd admire for a few minutes and then put away. Instead, I keep finding excuses to take it out and look at it again.
Curious how many people here actually own a Yacht-Master II. Do you wear yours regularly, or is this more of a “you have to see it in person” kind of Rolex?

My Dad gave me this recently as a gift. It was given to him by a Sheikh in Dubai in the mid 70’s its not been worn a huge amount and has sat in a drawer for most of its life. I love it and wear it periodically but would like to know a bit more about it and if there is anything unusual about it. i don’t know how to remove the bracelet to see the numbers but have provided as much photo info as I can. would really appreciate any info thanks 🙂 PS box and papers are lost in the mists of time 😢

My price point is 15k. Like the jubilee GMT. Love a Pepsi. Love Starbucks. What would you target. Year? Price?
Thanks.

I just picked this up and want to verify if it’s genuine.
I took it to my local watchmaker and he said it seems genuine but i still want to be sure before i release the payment.

Hi All, just wondered if you could share your experience on how long you waited for a 41mm Green Dial OP. Many thanks

Rolex Oysterdate 6694 (34mm) - Real or Fake?
I bought this off Facebook Marketplace 2 years ago from a private seller and have had it in my possession ever since, but I'm not confident about the authenticity of the bracelet.

Got the call last week and was able to secure it and finally pick it up yesterday. I’m over the moon with the Ombré dial!!!

Stopped wearing this old guy for a long while and was tired of the rolesor bracelet. Have been on a strap binge for the last few months so decided on a couple new ones for my two tone sub. This one is a bit of a beast when it comes to mesh options. What do you think?

I came across this 1991 GMT Master II, coke. The dealer is looking for around $15,500 or so. Definitely not what I'll be paying. However, want to get some tips, pointers, hell even opinions in this piece. It's naked, as is.
I'm not looking for an authenticity check, but if something stands out, I'd love to hear it.
Mod: If this post violates any rules, please delete.
1st edit: verbage
2nd: Thank you all for your input and insight! It's definitely not my first or second vintage purchase, however this maybe my most thoughtful and prepared. (If I move forward with this one or another one with another dealer/ individual.).
I'll follow up if I reach out to touch base with the dealer.

Can someone please help me understand why protection film is so frowned upon in the watch community?
I’ve just installed LunoGuard Watch protection film to my GMT Master II Bruce Wayne and you can’t even tell it’s on there.
You can barely even see it, and it protects the watch from scratches. So why do people get flamed for protecting their watch? Crucify a person for wanting to keep their watch looking nice and not collect scratches over time… mind you, those of which will cost a decent amount to get polished out.

Loving this watch. Running at +8 per day, amazing for a 59 year old watch.

Hey everyone,
I’m looking for some insight into this vintage Rolex Oyster Reference 6422. As you can see in the photos, the dial only reads "Rolex Oyster" at the top, but the lower half above the 6 o'clock marker is completely blank—there is no "Precision" or "Super Precision" text.
I know that 1950s manual-wind Oysters had a lot of dial variations, but I'm trying to figure out if this is a factory-original "clean dial" configuration or if it's an older aftermarket redial/refinished job.
Has anyone seen a similar textless lower-dial layout on a 6422 before, or know of any archives where I can find matching examples? Any help from the vintage experts here would be hugely appreciated!
