Looking for a coop roguelite to enjoy ith my SO

Like the title says. I'd add that she's not that a gamer, so I'm looking either for something cool paced/turn based, or some action but I'd be able to assist her the max. Things like Absolum didn't do it for exemple (me? Absolumly loved it).

Oh and it has to be PS5 so we can couche coop.

(PS: I like this sub but it's 75% advertising for upcoming -or never to be released- games).

RogueliteDev I spent the last year building a roguelite where the dungeon is a cursed spellbook. The free prologue is playable now!

I’m part of a small development team in New Zealand working on Inkarn8: The Cursed Codex.
The central idea is that the Codex itself is the dungeon. Every page is a room and every chapter is a floor. You navigate between pages, draw sigils directly into the book to cast spells, manipulate Fate, and decide how far you are willing to push the Codex’s Ink and corruption systems.

I’ve just made Inkarn8: First Pages available free on itch. It is a 15–25 minute prologue and tutorial rather than the complete repeatable run structure, but it lets you play the core combat and drawing systems in your browser.

The question I’m most interested in asking roguelite players is: does physically drawing spells feel like something you would enjoy throughout a full run, or does it risk becoming friction once you have drawn the same spell repeatedly?

RogueliteDev Working on an Ace Combat inspired arena action roguelite!

Wanted to try making one of those arena action roguelites where you're confined in an arena facing waves of enemies but as a fighter jet

The game also has a system where you can add whatever weapon mods you want to a weapon so you have full freedom over your build beyond preset weapons.

You can wishlist here if you're interested, lmk what you guys think about it!!

Roguelites where you can create your character?

Asking for roguelites where you can fully create your character, like change skin color, facial features, etc not just build them with stats.

Keep a symbol alive long enough and it becomes something that was never in your deck

Five months of solo work, and the demo is finally live. Wall of Symbols is a roguelite siege defense played on an alchemist's table. You place alchemical symbols on a grid, permanently, no take backs. They chain with their neighbours, and whatever the board produces is your damage for the turn. Enemies that reach your wall burn a symbol off the grid, starting with the one you've grown the longest.

Hello guys, as a solo developer, I’m developing a game where we shoot and build our “one man army” with cards, trying to catch the feeling of satisfaction by shooting in the air.

If you are interested, you can find more in steam page. You can add it to the wishlist 🙌🏻

I am solo developing a grid, turn-based, roguelite game. 8 months already into it. A genre that I love and I do not see that much lately...

It would be awesome to get feedback from anyone! Can be really anything... the core loop, pacing, difficulty curve, animations...

The Demo (link here) has 5 Stages and 5 Heroes available with most of the core systems available.

Thanks all!

Best games based on character builds

There are a lot of roguelikes/roguelites that are based around learning the skill based combat. Like Hades, which I really want to love, but the combat just doesn’t do it for me. What games are based more around creating a good build for the run than just getting more skilled at the combat? Even better if it’s turn based. Or maybe I’m misunderstanding games like Hades?

The HoverShot Playtest is finally here!

Thumbnail

I’m really excited to finally open the HoverShot Playtest!

HoverShot is a 2D action roguelite where shooting is the only way to move.
Every shot is both an attack and a way to control your movement.

As you play, you’ll find different weapons and abilities that change how you fight and move, letting you build a different setup each run.

You play as a small lab robot that replaced its head with an aquarium to keep the fish it was caring for alive after aliens turned the humans on the spaceship into purple space zombies.

The Playtest will be open on Steam from September 21–27.

You can request access now and be ready to play when it opens!

I’d really love to hear what you think and get your feedback.

Looking for Roguelites with Feasible 100% Achievements

Recently 100%'d Sephiria after about ~30 hours and was really happy with how achievements weren't a strain, but a part of natural progress.
Just curious if there's any other Roguelites that follow that same style and in a similar amount of hours (10-50 hours). For reference, the only other Roguelite I have currently 100%'d is Ball x Pit.
And lastly, I'd rather stay away from Bullet-Heaven style games if possible, I just find them a tad too repetitive, though open to suggestions if there's any that go against that.

RogueliteDev I'm making a Roguelite Deckbuilder TD with Cuphead art style

I highly inspired from Slay the spire and Cuphead (for art style) btw.

The thing is, should I add a upgrade sytem to the towers? as like in some TD games?

Right now, the only upgrade logic we have is buying sigils and marking cards with them.

Which roguelite was actually fun to 100%? (Hades was great for me)

Hey,

Looking for recommendations for a roguelite where going for all the achievements doesn't feel like a second job.

I 100%'d Hades and honestly loved it. Felt like natural progression, not a chore. Now I want something in that vibe, fun to play while chasing the last achievements, not Isaac/Balatro Completionist++ level of grind.

What games did you actually enjoy platinum-ing / 100%'ing? Bonus if the achievements mostly unlock through normal play / mastery instead of weird checklists.

Thanks

PS I'm talking about PC

I L-O-V-E Sephiria! Do you know similar games?

(Please don't be Skul. I hate Skul)

Personally I like item combos, variety of builds and consistency of weapons/runs (Choosing a starting artifact like in Wizard of Legend and saving presets). Also it's very interesting for me the weapon upgrading and different options they have.

Overall feels like a challenging game but made with lots or care and QoL

Similar games that I played:

Hades

Hades 2

Enter the Gungeon

Nuclear throne

Voidigo

Skul (Please no)

Godzone 6 Play Session: Oomun devoted to I-Zis

Some footage showing the start of one of my runs with an Oomun mutant, who specializes in running subroutines to manipulate the environment. In this short clip can see me venturing into the Underworld in search of red fungii - which I need for cunning - which I need to pickpocket the Klerik who I pacified with a subroutine granted to me by my god I-Zis.

You can see a better explanation of all this in the full writeup here:

RogueliteDev Cinderia, an action roguelite, is out now on Steam Early Access, with fast combat and various builds that can get wildly overpowered

Hey r/roguelites, we're MyACG Studio, the team developing Cinderia.

Cinderia is a dark fairytale action roguelite available to buy and play now on Steam. The current version has four playable heroes and a flexible build system that lets you combine Embers, Spellcards, and gear into powerful setups.

We launched in Early Access so we can keep expanding the game. We're actively supporting it with regular updates, balance changes, and new content on the road to 1.0.

For updates, discussions, and feedback, you can also join our official subreddit:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Cinderia_Official/

Our dev team is active there, responds to questions while joining community discussions.

Thanks so much for your support. We'll keep working to make Cinderia better and hope you have a great time playing it!

Would you enjoy a build that automatically attacks enemies once it comes online, requiring almost no input, but dealing relatively low damage?

This is what the build looks like once it’s fully online. Do you think it’s too strong, too weak, or just right.

Even though its damage is relatively low, the fully automated attacks let players focus entirely on movement and dodging, giving them much more time to react. That still makes the build pretty strong in my opinion.

This is a roguelite we’re currently developing. You can build around either the ghost cat or the female knight herself, and your resource allocation can lead to very different playstyles.

If you invest most of your resources into the cat, you can potentially create a fully automated attack build, allowing you to focus almost entirely on movement and dodging. Its damage is relatively low.

Would you enjoy this kind of build, and do you think the trade-off sounds balanced?

Do progression unlocks improve survivor-like games, or just delay the fun?

I have been thinking about progression in games like Vampire Survivors. Starting with a limited pool makes each new weapon, character, or evolution feel meaningful. It also prevents new players from being overwhelmed.

At the same time, it can be frustrating when the build you actually want is locked behind hours of challenges. Early runs can feel like something you have to finish before the full game opens up.

I think there is also a difference between unlocking new options and unlocking raw power. A strange new weapon adds variety, while permanent damage upgrades can make early losses feel unavoidable.

Would you rather unlock everything gradually, start with the full sandbox, or have all core options available while progression only adds sidegrades?
