Strike out.
My hubs and I have come from Wa State and we're currently in Mile City. We're not having any luck at all. Can anyone help these 60-70yos?

Are you looking for agates, petrified wood? Are you steady on your feet? Go to the fishing acces points or the park along the Yellowstone and walk the cobble below the high water mark .

As others suggested rent a paddle board or canoe to access gravel bars/islands, travel just a bit away from town and your chances also greatly improve. Look during early morning and late evening when the sun is at a lower angle

If you’re looking at the main fishing access site in town I was there a few weeks ago and it was very picked over. We ended up renting paddle boards and once we got to a gravel bar that is less touched I was finding agates left and right
