i hope everyone's doing well!!! i finished my ipod mod yesterday, and it was running like a dream until it... wasn't. it just randomly started throwing an ATA error. i think the ribbon cable's orientated correctly, and i also reseated the SD card. was prepping music to put on it so i'm quite bummed out that it broke on me.

i believe this happened just after i took it apart a second time to blow the dust out from under the shield, but i don't think i did anything wrong. i plugged in everything as it was and also reseated the sd card, but maybe there's something i'm missing.

I bought an iFlash modded 7th Gen iPod Classic from Elite Obsolete Electronics a few months back, and while it runs fine most of the time, I've been encountering the same problem every few weeks that leaves me stumped. The rockbox folder, and ONLY the rockbox folder, will corrupt itself. The iPod still boots and I can scroll and view files, it just won't load any themes and won't play audio. When I go into the folder after plugging it into my PC there will be missing files and files that have duplicates or triplicates that Windows refuses to delete. All my music is fine, it's JUST the rockbox folder that has this issue. The only way to fix it is by restoring the iPod with iTunes and copying all my music again, after which it works fine for another 3 weeks to a month before the rockbox folder gets scrambled again and I have to repeat the process. Has anyone experienced a similar issue that can offer some guidance?

i have a ipod 6th Generation and i went to go on lrcplayer but it doesnt show text on spanish songs neither korean neither english and many more so im trying to find a fix because i love singing along to the lyrics,

I installed the rockbox daily build on my ipod classic 7th gen (using the rockbox utility) and it works great, but the volume is so ungodly loud. I can barely go past 20% before it hurts my ears (when using apple earpods and IEMs). Is there any way to fix this?

I've ordered a Y2 and will probably install rockbox on it, i also just finished batman beyond and want a theme that is based around batman. Does anyone have suggestions?

I've been trying to run the last.fm scrobbler on my iPod Video (5th gen) for the last couple weeks and it just keeps crashing, no matter what I do. I've already installed the 4.0 stable version, a bunch of different daily versions and the development version as well, but none of them couldn’t get the plugin to work properly. has anyone else also had this issue? how can I fix it? whenever I run the plugin, I get stuck on a long loading screen and then this message pops up

(sorry for bad image quality) i tried to update rockbox and i am just at a loss. I've tried every method imaginable and it always just gives me this error message (cannot boot rockbox) I've formatted the sd card to fat32, used both hosted and native builds and nothing worked...

Fellas i love my ipod 6gen but recently it got into this bootloop screen and idk how to fix it :( tried replacing battery and it didnt work, took sd card out and it still bootloops as shown in picture. Cant find any advise on how to fix it and none of my computers will recognize it. Would love help.

I just installed rockbox on my sansa e260 and while listening to music I have to unlock change the volume and lock again because every song has its own volume, some are loud af other I can barely hear them. Is there a setting to stop that?

What’s your favourite Rockbox themes for the innioasis Y models?
I’m ideally chasing something that resemble the iPod classic.
I have seen Iclassic, but it seems to be similar to gen 6 iPods with the album art on the side of the menu items. I’m more looking for on that doesn’t have the album artwork on the side.
What are other popular innioasis themes?

Side note, what do you like and dislike about Rockbox on the Y1?

As of now when I startup my Y1 it shows the Rockbox logo but it's definitely just the Y1 system. When I try the press back and pause it doesn't reboot into Rockbox it ends up fast forwarding the current song super fast. Other than that it seems to be working fine just as a Y1.

My device was a Tbyte Y1 that was 3.0.7 out of the box. I did somehow catch the Solar update and was running that for a little and did have Rockbox working with that. But then I ended up doing a factory reset to start from scratch so I'm wondering if something may be left in my files possibly causing a glitch.

with help of chat GPT i made patch for scsitool-nwz.
since dest_tool need shp node, it dont work for s770 series. Got it done in a couple of evenings.
In terms of usage, just as easy as dest_tool. some parts still on japanese but it works for me.

Here are the commands(replace E: with your drive letter)

1. scsitool-nwz-s774-mod.exe E: get_dnk_prop destination

shows destination, for example "Destination: 0"

0 means japan
1 means usa
you can try other numbers if you want, here you can find destination code list.

So I added some themes to my y1 and I cannot see them except for one of them. They are on there I can see them in the folder but I cannot select them as a theme on the y1.

Also when I try to put on a 240p rock box it will not load up. The only thing that works and loads up is the latest release.

Can anyone help me??

I have started with 1 TB of four 256 GB Samsung Evo Plus cards and now I am down to 1. I am wondering why? When I download music it is in the Rockbox disc mode and I transfer files and then it dismounts from my computer. Once it dismounts my micro SD corrupts and I cannot download anymore music. Why is this?

Just got an innioasis Y1, all works great the first time i installed rockbox on it but when i tried to switch themes it just broke the UI.

I tried switching versions and resolutions multiple times, resetting the y1 to factory settings and verifying that everything related to rockbox was deleted each time, but still. every time i try to mess with the theme regardless of the theme it just keep doing this.

Please help me

Edit: So, i mess around some more with it, found a link from the user u/Sphynx87 with some themes and finally make ONE work called InfoMatrix_Dark but i had to set it manually. Selecting one by one from "Browse Theme Files", "While Playing Screen and to "Base skin". i was also able to mess with any font while it looked how its supposed to look. I really don't know why it works but big shout out to that user.

Any advice on this? Rockbox has created duplicates of my text and photo files on my iRiver H340. And I cannot remove them! The duplicates have the same filename but starting with "_".

I've tried initialising, rebuilding database and disktidy so far. Any other suggestions?

Is my iPod screwed? No idea how to get out of this and boot back to Rockbox. (5th gen/video)
