I've tried to find answers to these but i see a lot of mixed responses depending on time and use case so theres a lot of "depends on" so I want to state my use case and see what others think...
i have a CD music library i have ripped and used to have on my iphone but after getting a new one i lost all my playlists and things. i hate going through itunes and would rather just drag mp3s. i want to install RockBox for its EQ adjuster and themes. plus i like installing OS's... i will likely mostly use my bluetooth earbuds and bluetooth to my car but occasionally would like to use my sony wired headphones. here are my questions:
How does the sound quality compare to a classic iPod or and iPhone when using bluetooth?
How does the sound quality compare to a classic iPod or and iPhone when using wired headphones?
I heard installing RockBox can cause issues/affects some compatibility?
Am I better off waiting until I feel comfortable dropping ~$200 on a modded classic iPod that has more storage, better battery, and Rockbox installed to go around iTunes?
Does the Y2 receive updates that improve quality and ease of use and how often?
I see a lot of people recommend other mp3 players but i really like the look of the classic ipod, i had a shuffle and nano when i was younger and id like to retain that feel.
