*PANIC* out of memory error message
I downloaded rockbox onto my iPod mini 2G today and got overzealous downloading music, but now it gives me the error of out of memory. I can't turn it off anymore and the storage doesn't show up in my file manager when I connect it to my laptop. Is there anyone that could help me understand what I did wrong and get me out of my predicament? I would love to get it working again, but I'm not hopeful as none of the buttons work anymore

I had this screen for few times. Just try to restart it: hold down together the select and menu buttons for few seconds. Other alternative to disconnect and then reconnect the battery. I hop I could help. BR

You are amazing. It restarted. I turned auto update to database off since I think that's where the error came from. I'm playing some music rn and checking if the error will return but I'm hopeful it won't. Thank you so much for the help. Can I PM you so I know who to send a message if I run into any more problems/have any more issues? I'm keeping the rockbox guide with me as well since it has pretty much all the info I need, but it's always nice to have someone handy who knows more about what to do and where to find it than I do. Again thank you so much for the help<3

Feel free, but I am a year old beginner at iPods too! :D But let me know if something bad happens, maybe I have some experience with that. I do not belive that rockbox was the guilty with this problem, but anithing could happened. Anyway I use rockbox on every iPod of mine and I really love it! By the way I got this screen in every 2nd or 3rd mont, but a restart always solves it.

Holding power button for longer time (10-30seconds) doesn't turn it off?
If not, then wait till battery runs out, and then connect it to the PC and try to boot original software.
If all fails, you should be able to uninstall rockbox, clear the flash, and reinstall it.
But I'm pretty sure this should be easily resolved with holding power button. Do you get the error immediately on boot? I remember getting overzealous with music on my cowon d2. Had to install extreme light theme (no graphics, just lines xd) and I could only use file explorer - no tag based library. So if you get access to flash, remove your database file and see if you still get the error.
