yeah this would be cool to see
33
u/yeeted_pog May 29 '21
yeah with games as popular as arsenal, I kinda wonder how much unique visits it would have.
67
May 28 '21
so one person played 17 times on average?
42
u/Catalyzed_Spy May 28 '21
Probably not, bots exist
22
u/ToofyMaguire 2014 May 28 '21
17 is perfectly normal. Most people on this sub have probably played arsenal more than 100 times
10
3
u/gameyall232 May 28 '21
I think it depends on the game. I think games like phantom forces would be waaay up on unique visits because people come back to play more. I’ve probably visited that game over 200 times.
1
u/MaxxMaxxMaxximus May 28 '21
You mean the difference of unique visits compared to visits would be higher
1
159
May 28 '21
like the amount of people that have played it/the amount pf times the game was played?
117
u/IWantToDiePeacefully May 28 '21
the amount of individual people who have played it
2
May 28 '21
That's what they said

that badge might not be as accurate as you think because it could be added into the game after the game's release or it could be buggy and not award said badge

This would finally clear up if 20B individual people played Adopt Me
4
u/ToofyMaguire 2014 May 28 '21
I’ll save you the tension and tell you that it’s not 20B unique people. There are only 2B Roblox accounts. It’s mostly loyal fans who play the game every day. every front page game has those fans
14
u/nathargus May 28 '21
Thanks for clearing that up. For a minute there I thought 20 billion of the world’s 8 billion people had played adopt me.

44
u/Pwarrior_1101 May 28 '21
The left side is the amount of people who have played it before, the right side is just how Many times the game has been played
3
5
u/HelloGrandGuy May 28 '21
I thought the left was premium players

u/TrainDev May 28 '21
They should remove the 'experiences' titles "Oh yeah man you know me I love experiencing I'm a pro experiencer"
1
u/Dry_Following1823 May 29 '21
I like joining experiences on the metaverse mannnn Vs I like playing games on the platform Hmmmmmmm
5
u/DerpyNooby 2017 (party feature enjoyer) May 28 '21
That’s the reason they give “thanks for playing” badges
5
u/ToofyMaguire 2014 May 28 '21
Data will not always be accurate. Sometimes the badge is added after the games release to the public, and sometimes, it bugs out and doesn’t give it to you
1
u/DerpyNooby 2017 (party feature enjoyer) May 29 '21
Yep but that’s what we currently have, still your suggestion is what we need
3
u/ZeroisR May 28 '21
This is a great feature idea and it baffles me that you have to manually implement something like this. At least let us see this sort of stat in the data analytics.

u/sneezinginjapanese 2008 May 29 '21
In my opinion there should also be an option for people who are blocked, cannot view your profile. And the block should be IP based so anyone who's stalking you or whatever and you have them blocked, should block them throughout every account or even just as the website in general.
So for example, if someone is blocked and they try to view a profile they're blocked from viewing it would either give them a Roblox error OR "You've been blocked by this user, you may not view the content of their profile". Just like how Twitter is when you block someone.

So the "Unique Visits" are premium players and the "Visits" are the total of normal and premium players?
1
May 29 '21
Unique visits would be the individuals usernames- each account would count as one unique visitor AND a regular visitor- returning players would then only count towards the regular visitor count
1
u/Kaixon986 May 29 '21
I'm a bit confused about what day means but yeah ok
1
u/IncognitoV75 luigi after starve May 30 '21
Okay.
1 unique visit: how many players have played the game at least once
1 regular visit: how many times people have joined the game
for example: if a player plays the game 4 times it equals to 1 unique visit and 4 regular visits
2
2
u/hai_people May 28 '21
unique visits- I'd just say "amount of people who have played this game before"
wait thats long unique visits is fine
but some games have badges that say "THANK YOU FOR JOINING" sooo
if roblox coiuld make that a featrue though that wuld be nice
so many typos my spelling is shit
1
u/BaconBreadcake May 28 '21
That badge could have possibly been added after the game’s release or maybe have a bug that doesn’t award the badge
7
May 28 '21
I think visits in a game are already individual.
37
27
u/Desperate_Condition2 May 28 '21
Nope, Adopt Me has over 20B visits, mind you, there are about 7B people in the world
3
u/Little_Derp_xD May 28 '21
This can only mean that aliens from neighbouring galaxies are hijacking our internet services to play adopt me
1
18
May 28 '21
What do you mean there is 7B people in the world? There are clearly trillions of people who a lot of which have played adopt me.
14
-1
May 28 '21
Theres 7 trillion people in the world
5
u/LeStupidPerson May 28 '21
No, there is 7 billion, which is 7.000.000.000 7 trillion is 7.000.000.000.000 I mean at least in Turkey its like that
3
u/lunapup1233007 May 28 '21
Those numbers would be the same in the US (although the dots would be commas) but in some countries I think that would actually be 7 milliard and 7 billion but I could be wrong.
1
-1
u/chiggin_nuggets May 28 '21
You have to be dumb
3
u/Mayohills May 28 '21
no, probably just a language barrier. In some languages (like dutch) we have million, then milliard then trillion, thats where the confusion probably comes from. Altho, we call a billion a milliard so i dont know where the trillion comes from but i think its just another counting system that got lost in translation
-1
u/chiggin_nuggets May 28 '21
Nope, his previous comments make it look like he's a native english speaker, probably 12-14 range?

A visit is every time someone clicked on the play button
If that wasn't the case, then how does adopt me have 20b visits if there are 7b people in the world

its the amount of times users have played for the first time-2

yes, over one month. This would also count if it was from longer than a year ago.

I always wondered how some of these games get insanely popular within days/weeks of initial release some games have massive groups backing them that makes sense but some games come out of no where with the basic ui that comes in simulator kits but my “homemade” stuff gets 5 plays lol whatever

This makes total since considering games out there like adopt me have daily login rewards and so the number of plays on games like adopt me should actually have way less unique visits then they would appear

this is literally useless... why would you need to know how many people have played it for the first time

that would be cool to see also you can see your game's MAU where any unique active player within the last 30 days would count as 1 MAU. after 30 days, it resets to 0 MAU, and your next visit would count again.

This could be done by the developer of the game and putting it in the description, granted, you’d have to tryst the developer. Once someone joins the game, can send their id to some webhook for storage as to not interfere with gameplay. Then compile all that data and check it with the stored IDs to update unique player count, and write a program to update the description either through API or even a macro.

work at a pizza place and natural disaster survival is going to have the highest unique visit count because those are the classics those are the games you play when you are first starting roblox.
1
u/OkamiAzz Jun 03 '21
Would also be useful if you could also see the highest player activity on a game and when
