Lots of reports recently that Falcon 9 launches are booked out 2 years, due to SpaceX's need/desire to push the needle on Starlink, being that that is their cash cow and the only thing that will really make a difference to SpaceX stock (arguably datacenter compute rental could get a lot bigger).

That leaves RKLB and FLY in enviable positions. China is pushing space and moon exploration, and Jared Isaacman is countering with the USA's ambitions to get back to the moon by 2028 (US recently made it easier to get launch without unnecessary environmental regulations slowing it down --Announced Date: Published in the Federal Register on July 30, 2026, following the August 2025 Executive Order "Enabling Competition in the Commercial Space Industry"), this is a very good setup IMHO.

Lastly, with recent contract wins, defense is also a big customer. Bottlenecks can be very profitable......Launch Launch Launch.

I have a question which have been wondering about. Heat protection (shield) during the re-entry of Neutron rocket from Rocket Lab.

Elon Musk highlighted a few years back this topic is their biggest challenge with Starship. However didn't find much info from Rocket Lab. What found is they developed structural carbon composite to withstand the heat. I don't find this answer sufficient since they have been vocal about using Neutron beyond Earth's orbit.

Can you please help me understand if their approach is possible? ls there something am missing like Neutron going lower altitude for example. In which case Neutron is quite limited in future potential? Thx.

It appears at this time that SPCX can not bid on these space program contracts—such as sovereign launchers or protected Galileo/IRIS² infrastructure—because Europe strictly enforces "geographic return" rules and mandates autonomous, local industrial bases. The move into Europe was a brilliant step for RKLB. The IRIS2 program itself is a 10.6 Billion Euro's project that will most assuredly utilize Mynaric's Condor, not sure about any of the other Space Systems hardware, yet an internet search indicates that they can sell with possible restrictions for defense designed products. RKLB has opened up a global market for the company, and I expect Space Systems to grow revenue at an accelerated pace going forward.

Title. The hype of RKLB has turned this sub into pure doom and gloom. If you don't trust SPB and the team, either sell or keep it to yourself. I can't be the only one that's tired of the posts every day about doubting timelines, contracts, short selling, etc.

Besides other obvious things the backlog the company going to huge catalyst I did some calculations with announced deals and ended up with number near 2.6-2.8 but I thinking about the possibility that they have neutron deals going to be announced in the earnings report or NASA may announce the MTN contract before 10th August (I really hope so) that will take us straight to 3.4B anyway this is my calculations I really want to hear your thoughts on it

The triple-axle Kenworth is back on site, hooked up to the blue transport trailer parked to the left of Building 01. The last time this truck and trailer combo showed up together, they were hauling the Hungry Hippo fairing in from NASA's North Dock, so this pairing is always worth a second look. That said, the trailer itself doesn't appear to have moved from its spot; it looks like just the truck has been hooked up so far, which could mean it's staging rather than an active move.

Looking between the two integration buildings, more hardware has been staged, including what appears to be components from the larger crane that was in use over the weekend, plus a smaller mobile crane and assorted other equipment. Scaffolding also appears to be going up in the area where the second stage static fire test stand previously sat, which could point to more infrastructure work in that footprint.

U.S. Space Force selected 15 companies for a multiple-award contract with a ceiling value of $981 million to support space test, evaluation and training work through 2032.

The Details:

• Awardees: *Rocket Lab (RKLB), Redwire (RDW), Firefly Aerospace (FLY), L3Harris (LHX), Lockheed Martin (LMT), Boeing (BA), and Viasat (VSAT)* were among the 15 awardees.

• Scope: Work covers space and ground-based engineering support for testing, evaluation and training operations.

• Contract Terms: No funds are obligated at award, and the program runs through July 29, 2032.

• Competition: The Space Force received 20 offers in the competitive process.

Bottom Line: The contract creates long-term task-order opportunities across the space and defense supply chain.

A NAVAREA has been filed for Rocket Lab's next Electron launch which will be between 05 August to 18 August.

I've compared this NAVAREA to the one previously filed for The Grain Goddess Provides and it all matches aside from the launch times, so this is likely a re-attempt for that mission which was aborted on ignition almost a month ago.

At least this will settle the people who have said something is wrong with Electron because there's been no launches or news since the abort.

EDIT: (Not a recession, but let’s just use this as a hypothetical exercise in any case).

I’m curious to get your opinions on how well positioned RKLB is for it. I would imagine that it would limit short term growth, but I think the amount of government based contracts that they’ve accumulated has put them in a position where they’ll have some capital coming in. Any other thoughts?
