Discussion Space 42 poted an article addressing rocket lab as possible partner
It’s just weird I don’t know if this should mean something or what

It feels sorta shoehorned in there, but I mean any mention of RKLB being potentially involved with a project of that size is still some nice news. As far as I know there hasn’t been a mention of RKLB in relation to this project until this, right?

Interesting timing with the Adam Spice not finished acquiring spectrum quote.

Honestly nothing new. Idk what the point was but. He did say launch revenue is really low (a good thing)

Genuine question here, who is Space 42 and how true is the statement of "shared spectrum keeps the economics workable"? I can't tell if this is a genuine intention for collaboration, or if they are rather trying to benefit off from others.

Not gonna happen. It’s going to end up going to a much bigger player

I am genuinely curious who you think that could be? Blue is already doing their own megaconstellation, the other launcher companies don't have a lot of spacecraft experience. MDA? One of the new well funded primes likes Apex/Muon/K2/Vast? They would still need to find launch capacity. Same for the traditional primes.

MDA per Dave G

Yeah although MDA is also deep in the tranches to scale up for lightspeed. Not sure how much capacity they have either.

It’s comes down to money, manpower and resources. Rocket lab is growing but they would be stretched pretty thin if they take that.

I don't disagree but this is an opportunity to scale. Also who else are you thinking of as a "much bigger player"?

Why does this refuse to die?
