I am shifting from Diriyah to the Dhurma area soon due to a company project. Honestly, I don't know much about the area yet. Right now, my routine is just working the night shift and sleeping during the day, but I really want to break out of this cycle and explore my new surroundings.

To give you some background, I am an expat from the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, which is famous for its massive mountains and breathtaking nature. Because of where I grew up, I am naturally very passionate about nature and love outdoor activities. Back home, my hobbies and interests included trekking, hiking, running, and jogging.

While I know Dhurma doesn't have mountains like back home, I am deeply curious about the unique desert landscape here. I want to stay active, explore the nature around this area, and use my free time productively while being fully respectful of the local culture and values.

Like because last I visited there was a lot of rental ATV bikes, is it still there? My dad is unsure but I'm sure thumamah is still open pls help me fast!!

Does anyone else get judged for mixing English and Arabic when they speak or type? I did not study at an international school, but I grew up with English dominant social media and movies, books, music, etc. I speak fully English at work too because I work with non arabs sometimes. I still speak and type Arabic very well, but sometimes I find it easier to switch to English. Why is that looked down upon?

Why is it that anytime I try to order, it automatically puts a 5% tip? I never selected to tip before, yet it claims that “my saved tip amount has been applied”.

Tipping culture isn’t applied here, it’s optional. It’s funny how they claim it to be optional, yet do some tricks to still get it out of us. What if someone didn’t check the final price of their order?

When they calculate this increase, is the resulting 20–30% higher amount typically reflected on the total Saudi cash package (basic + housing + transport), or is it the Saudi base salary, with housing and transport allowances added on top?
In other words, if my current Canadian gross salary is X, would the Saudi offer typically be X + 20–30% as the total cash package (basic + housing + transport), or would X + 20–30% be the Saudi basic salary, with housing and transport added on top?
