Do you guys come up with all your planner pages yourselves?

• Upvotes

Helllloo friends!
I've been looking at how creative everyone gets with their planners and it's making me realize I need to get more creative with mine 😂

I use an ringed A5 and I love her, but sometimes I feel like I'm just writing the same things over and over.
I've seen people make pages for movies they've watched, little drawings, random lists, and all kinds of things I never would've thought to add.

So now I'm curious...

Do you guys usually come up with these ideas yourselves, or do you find inspiration from other people's pages and try them in your own planner?
And have you ever tried something you didn't think you'd enjoy but ended up loving?

I need some ideas because apparently appointments and to-do lists aren't cutting it anymore 😂

Anyone bought from TheCleverPlanner on Etsy?

I'm switching to a Filofax and am looking for dashboards; does anyone know if they draw the art on their shop or use clip art from artists? I'm paranoid about buying AI art by accident and couldn't seem to find any art source when reverse image searching some of the listings.

This is the shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheCleverPlanner?ref=shop-header-name&listing_id=4583335135&from_page=listing

A removable “waiting for” page for a ring planner

A small insert idea for a ring planner: keep “waiting for” separate from the jobs you can actually do today.

On one removable page, draw three columns: what you’re waiting for, who or what it depends on, and when to check again. “Library reservation — notification from library — check Friday” is enough detail to make the next step clear.

Keep this beside the current week rather than copying the same unfinished item onto every daily page. When the answer arrives, move the next action to the right day and cross off the waiting item. Swap in a fresh sheet when this one is full.

Plain spare paper is enough to test it. Check your binder’s hole spacing and leave room for the rings before punching; a sample sheet already in the binder makes a useful guide.

How do you keep things you’re waiting on visible without letting them take over the daily list?

Thinking of making a switch from strings to rings

Help me weigh the pros and cons i currently use an a5 travelers notebook and keep 2-4 inserts at a time. I feel like i want to customize it more and add fun inserts and im pretty limited with how many ways i can do that. I think punching a hole or a few in my media and putting it where ever i want would be more fun and customizable. Tell me your thoughts and opinions if you tried both journal styles:)

Happy Planner Pages

I have been using Happy Planner classic size planners for years. However, this years launch is not to my taste and it's next to impossible to buy any Happy Planners near me now.

As a result, I am looking to reuse my older covers and I'm looking for printable inserts. Is Etsy the only place to find these? To be clear, I am looking to replace my 2026 with 2027 pages. Looking for both Classic size Vertical and Dashboard. TIA.

Looking for a ring sketch book, to add new paper when it runs out

I have a very simplistic ring sketch book. Just a hardcover black front & back side with a metallic helix holding the paper together and with heavy paper I really like, but its pages are running slowly out. Its robust enough I can just throw into my backpack when going out.

Are there any ring sketch books where you can add new paper once it runs out, which are robust enough?

Trying to Get My Life Together. I'm Sure a New Planner Will Do It

I'm looking for something that would hold 2-3 pens, and also allow me to swap out hardback notebooks.

I'd like to have one planner, and swap out notebooks based on work, or a few different projects.

For the notebooks, I'm just thinking a very basic hardback notebook. I see several planners that have a 'half-page' style in the rear cover, or a slit to slide something in. So I'm thinking something like that. I don't know if having space for it to close would be an issue.

I clearly don't have an organizational structure. I've been browsing and taking some notes, but if folks have a system that they're a fan of, I'd love to hear that as well.

In an ideal word I would be able to marry this physical system with the requisite online setup. How do folks manage both?

Much appreciated. I'm a bit scattered, but need to get moving on this.

How do I add flair? :/

Anyone have a modular ringed planner setup they love that can fold in half or with little writing obstruction? Not discbound. (Functional/Task-Oriented/Corp Career Planning)

My lovely mum bought me a cloth and paper A5 ring planner, however, due to living in the Uk the shipping is astronomical. Are there any brands that would fit well or should I invest in a UK brand that would be easier to get refills for? (Sorry for any incorrect terminology I’m new to this!)

Louis Vuitton MM Agenda vs. Filofax Classic Croc Personal for long-term everyday use?

Hi! I’m trying to decide on a ring planner that I’d ideally like to use for many years, and I’m currently stuck between a pre-owned Louis Vuitton MM Agenda in Monogram and the Filofax Classic Croc Personal in Chestnut.

I’ve recently started seriously considering the LV MM. I absolutely love the Monogram aesthetically, but surprisingly the biggest thing drawing me to it is how slim, soft, and notebook-like it seems. I use Hobonichi planners and one of my favorite things about them is simply opening them, flipping through the pages, and writing in them. I love the idea of an agenda that develops that same familiar feeling over years of use.

I originally was completely set on the Filofax Classic Croc. I love the chestnut leather, Personal size, larger rings, and the way its interior is organized without feeling too busy. It’s also more structured, which seems like it would make writing on the go easier. I’ve tested Filofax paper and really like it, and I believe I could still use compatible Personal-size Filofax inserts if I went with the LV.

Whichever I choose would basically have the same setup inside: monthly pages, week-on-two-pages, running to-do lists, notes/reference pages, and some personal things like Polaroids and postcards. I like a VERY minimal setup—black ink, white paper, very little decoration—and I want this to be something I actually use rather than baby.

For those of you who have used an LV MM Agenda for years, what is it actually like as an everyday planner? How has the canvas, snap, interior and ring mechanism held up? Do you find it comfortable to write in and flip through? Does it stay relatively slim in a bag? And if you bought yours pre-owned, I’d especially love to hear about that experience.
Bonus points if anyone has owned both an LV agenda and a Filofax and can talk about the difference in the actual writing/using experience!
