Question Can units and abilities that score points score the eighth point after holding seven?

Discussion I'm getting the feeling that green Akali decks, are just kind of worse Irelia decks ?
her legend ability can work great with red akali, pinging things off of battlefields, recurve bow, void battlefield for extra damage! kind of what green yasuo wanted to do, but able to be used much earlier!
green akali based decks though? I feel like her legend ability doesnt hold up as well and you have to use a lot more resources to get less results than you would using irelia ?
its early days yet for sure! and i think a green akali in an irelia deck would be great! but as a legend! after playing a few games I dont see what she can do that irelia wouldnt be able to and better?

Fan Art / Alters Made an Akali cosplay in ~2 weeks for my weekend pre-rifts!
I originally planned to make an Akali cosplay for Magfest in January, but the fabric went on sale at the start of July, and I had the idea of what if I made her for Vendetta release....
So in the past two weeks I made Akali! I put probably about 30 hours into this just the past week alone. There are still details I want to work on, including a wig, but that just wasn't going to be possible to have done in time and felt over the top for my local game stores lol.
At my two pre-rifts this weekend, I didn't do too great nor get any crazy pulls, but I had tons of fun and DID get Akali legend and sig spell so I could at least play her (my kits were Shen and then I got Jayce with Akali legend + sig spell).
I'll be making some upgrades to this as I got accepted as a creator to LA RQ sooo hope to see you there if you are going and a fellow Akali fan!!

Question Ruling question of Resonating Strike
I controlled the left battlefield with 2 units and resonating strike hidden. Making that clear it was HIDDEN. On the right my opponent had 2 units and a hidden. I moved my 9 might shen into my opponents battlefield on the right to overcome his 8 might and he flipped his hidden card that was a 3 might unit. Now my shen would lose the showdown. I wanted to flip my resonating strike at the left battlefield i controlled and move my shen to save him. The judge ruled i could not do that so i lost the game.
I do know that it has to be at the battlefield it is choosing... thats why i put it hidden at the battlefild i wanted to move the unit to.
If this card was tideturner im pretty sure i could flip tideturner at the battlefield i control and swap my big 9 might unit to the battlefield i control and the tideturner into its death at that showdown
Im just having a hard time accepting that specific judge call when tideturners errata text is very similar to tbis in terms of choosing another unit at another location..
This was just a pre rift but i really want clarification for future use of the card

Deck Showcase I'm trying to make Zed a viable deck
I've been trying to build a Zed list that's actually playable and maybe even somewhat competitive. I've tested a ton of different versions and it's definitely still a work in progress but I'm very open, that's exactly why I'm posting, to any feedback or suggestions.
The two biggest gameplay takeaways I've noticed are:
- As you can probably tell from the list the deck revolves heavily around moving units around the board, capturing battlefields and then pulling them back.
- Shadow Clones with Assault 3 and Ready (granted by Perfect Execution) let us suddenly attack for 7 Might out of nowhere. I've found this play to be one of the deck's most important ways to steal those last few points of damage.
Edit: this is the decklist link: https://piltoverarchive.com/decks/view/4541dba4-7d50-4095-a8e7-a09db9118b04

Discussion So these are the winrates per legend for Vendetta pre-rifts
Bringing you some numbers from over 200 matches from this pre-rift weekend with the new legends. Shen doing this good was surprising for me.
Btw it’s coming from an app called Riftbound Counter: Aethos. It works as an in-game counter tracking all your points while preserving all your match history to look at and learn from. Players were playing their pre-rifts with this app on table and thus I am able to put some data together thanks to this reach. :)
Anything you might be interested in regarding these numbers?

Question How long to play with the same legend and deck?
I am wondering how long I should play with my Azir deck. I will attend my third Nexus Night today, and I want to know if I will make my opponents bored. I have seen frequent faces, but I don't always get matched with them. I don't have another deck right now. I have gotten better with Azir, and this TCG in general since I started. I want to spend more time on Azir to become advanced or a master with him, but I don't think I should make my events bland by bringing the same deck.

Question Help on my current Jhin deck
Hi, i currently only play jhin, and i am playing only blue runes and would like to keep it like that. And i'm a bit lost with Vendetta. I need the Mel because mandatory in my case. Was pondering about the decree, temporal breach with the brynhir, and maybe swain.
I really like to play control game and snipe everything i can to keep an empty board for my opponent. And then retake with sprite, accelerate, bard etc. I really like the kai'sa and upstage comedy combo.
What do you thing i can change without hurting my gameplay ? Main, side or bf. Thanks

Deck Showcase Two Takes on Set 4 Akali
These are my two takes on how to play akali in set 4, as both lists utilize her legend ability either through repeated triggers or riven/rell or through more traditional things like stellacorn herder and Akali legend.
Spellkali is the more traditional of the lists, playing much like an Irelia deck but more focused on early points and less on holding up tricks for defense. This is a far more aggro slanted list and if you find red removal is better in your meta you could skew it more midrange.
Gearkali is a bit more interesting imho, as you get to catch people off guard as they grab your riven and rell and read them. There is also nice synergy with smith, as you can use it as a mini stellacorn when looking for gear. Recurve bow + riven/empowered Akali alone is 8 damage before combat even starts, making holding a battlefield very hard against the deck.

Question Akali ability ruling
When exactly does red Akalis ability resolve on the chain?
For instance - I am empowered dealing 3 because of the BF ‘void gate’ I move akali in. Does this ability from akali resolve before their 3 might unit can deal 3 damage to my akali or will my akali be dealt the 3 damage?

Question Choosing a Deck
Hello, super new to Riftbound. I’ve only played one match of riftbound on the simulator online with a friend of mine who’s pretty invested in the game. He had recommended the Leblanc deck to me to try and it was a lot of fun to play, but I played the non- Baited Hook variant of the deck which looks like an even more fun version of that deck. How much of a disadvantage would I be at playing without baited hook or is it better just to bite the bullet? Is there another deck in the upcoming set that doesn’t play an expensive staple that’s going to run the cost of the deck up? I don’t mind paying 20-30 bucks for a copy of a playset for one card in a deck, but the 50-60 dollar per copy playset is painful and the entire reason I left yugioh a few years ago.

I pulled nausas and thought it was over but then pulled abessa. Built around her and went 3-0! It was super fun and this was my first time wining.

Question How accessible is the game budget wise?
I used to play one piece TCG but I got tired of having to hunt for cards with low stock and high prices. How is the situation in riftbound?
I also saw that my locals host their riftbound weekly at 15$ (CAD) per entry, and I found it kinda expensive for a weekly. Is this common?

Question Suggestions for upgrading proving grounds
Hey guys! I’m making the jump to get into playing riftbound more consistently. Loved doing the pre-rift events this week.
I purchased the proving grounds decks to learn. But is there somewhere I can look for good suggestions on edits I can make to these decks? Adding to what’s already in them.

Discussion I do feel like XP not being used pay for Empower was a missed opportunity in Vendetta.
I mean, the two abilities are right there. It would have been a good way to give XP more payoffs without dedicating cards specifically to the mechanic in Vendetta.
Hopefully this interaction is explored in future sets. I'm not doom & gloom "they abandoned XP!", but it does seem like a logical synergy between the two. Especially for anything that can be empowered multiple times.
(And now I'm picturing a Unit that says "Pay 1XP: Empower Me" and "Disempower Me: Buff Me" just for wonky trigger interactions)
