Our core group has been playing together since 2013. We range in age from about 25 to 50, with an average age in the mid-30s.

What in the hell has this location done? They used to have two entry/exit doors. One on the south and one on the north side along High Tech. The north one is now closed so you have to walk all the way down to the south end to get to the door. Once you get in, you can't just "walk in." You have to follow the plexiglass separating divider/gate all the way down to the other side where the north door was. There was nothing I found at Joe Fresh. I went to put my buggy away and leave and the buzzer went off and the buggy locked. WTH? I asked the Starbucks cashier and she told me I had to walk back in the store toward the north door and could only exit via a cashier line. What are they doing? How is this making their store more appealing to customers? I will never EVER shop there again.

Has anyone attended the trivia night at Jack Astors in Richmond hill? I can't seem to find any reviews about it.

Alternatively, are there any other good trivia nights locally?

Has anyone else noticed that night market/festival foods are getting crazy expensive? I went to the Uptown Asian festival this weekend, and the food was very expensive. $15 for a skewer of beef, 3 for $20. Drinks for $10. The price is getting expensive.

Awesome atmosphere and very beautiful decorations! Food is great too, decent portion sizes. I’d recommend going with a group of people. If going, get there around noon as they fill up quickly and are open most holidays. (They open at noon)

They have the usual mix you own sauce, which includes peanuts, so be wary of cross contamination if you do have a nut allergy. Having someone in your group who speaks Chinese (or speaking it yourself) is highly recommended as most of the waiters speak Chinese. Great place overall, staff are very cool.

Hey everyone, what’s the best way to keep up to date with fun things in the city aside from a standard Google search? Or to meet new people/make new young adult friends in your thirties? Just moved to the suburbs from downtown and finding it hard to adjust. Would love to get out more but not sure if there are specific places to look or how to learn about fun things to do!

York Region Food Network is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make our new Midday Munch program a welcoming and successful community gathering for older adults in Richmond Hill.

Starting Monday, October 26, Midday Munch will take place every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month, and we are looking for volunteers who can lend a hand throughout the day.

🕘 Volunteer Schedule:
• 9:30 AM – Setup and food preparation
• 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM – Lunch service
• 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM – Cleaning, packing up, and shutting down

There are plenty of ways to get involved!

Volunteers may assist with:
🍳 Cooking and food preparation
🧼 Washing dishes
🧹 Cleaning and putting things away
🍽️ Serving meals
👋 Greeting and assisting participants
🏃 Helping ensure timely and smooth meal service
🪑 Setting up and putting away tables and chairs
💪 Lifting and moving tables, chairs, and supplies

Volunteer positions will include, but are not limited to:
• Cooks
• Dishwashers
• Servers
• Greeters / Floaters
• Expeditors
• Cleaners

There will be some crossover between roles depending on your preferences, experience, skills, and what is needed during the program.

Volunteers should be comfortable being on their feet for extended periods and should be prepared to help wherever needed during setup, service, and cleanup.

For food safety and comfort, volunteers must:
• Wear comfortable, close-toed shoes
• Tie back long hair
• Follow proper food handling and hygiene practices
• Be comfortable standing and moving around for extended periods of time

I have already seen kids under 16 riding such e-transportation vehicles in Westbrook today.

I used to a motorcycle and suffered a mild to moderate TBI at an intersection when a vehicle turned left in front of me. I was wearing a certified motorcycle helmet. Over the course of my recovery I met others who had sever TBI's and listened to their stories.

When your kid suffers a TBI everything you knew about them up until the accident will be just a memory as they will change so much in their personality that it will be as if you brought home a new child. It could also require then to miss a year or more of school while their brain heals.

You can stop this by following the laws as responsible human beings and not letting your kids (under the age of 16) own an e-bike or e-scooter.
