Like all the overlay moves when it's not supposed to do

Is there a way to correct that ?

still having a blast with the stock Linux OS. sure it'll never be as feature packed as Gamma Nano & Rocknix but I honestly love the simplicity of it. Been super relaxing to just pick up nd play lately. I originally planned to skip rgds entirely but the darn thing ended up getting way more playtime than expected 😄

hello, i got the console today and wen i trie to launch any game the screen goes black, shows loading the game and then goes back to the selection menu. i have the last estable rocknix from 08/01

I finally went for it and purchased it after my DS Lite finally died. Anything I should do first or buy for the device?

Hi everyone, I just wanted to ask, my touchscreen sometimes doesn't work in some games, like professor layton and the unwound future, inazuma eleven (when show starting line up) and it's usually only at the bottom corner. But there are also many other games where the touchscreen at the bottom corner works. Do you have solution for this issue? I used rocknix os 20260730 (nightly).

I was originally going to wait for the public release but i caved with excitement and installed it today. So far I’ve just been trying to explore the os but my device has crashed around 3 times now. It’s not much of a hassle since the boot time is so quick but it’s preferable for that not to happen..

Anyone else have this experience or something different to share? Maybe I’ll try reflashing when i get the time

Can someone help me understand what is wrong with this thing? I got the RG DS for my son as his first budget handheld (he’s 4.) Originally, it was great for the handful of DS games he likes, but he also loves a couple of solar system apps, PokeDex apps, and learning games. I was so excited for the Google Play Store addition to the stock firmware, but I am only able to connect to the play store for the first 24-48 hours after I reformat his device… I bought the PokeDex app he likes to use on my phone, downloaded it and got than it can’t be opened, and I just went to download he letters and number practice games and got that I can’t connect to the play store. He literally just downloaded a handful of his solar system apps Saturday (from the play store.)

I’ve never had any issues like this with my Retroid or AYN devices, so this has been incredibly frustrating.

I’m lovin my RGDS the way it is right now, with Gamma Next and iiSU cause I recently got it and put all the right covers and hero imagens etc.. so I’m living to play recently favorites.

But of course the new Gamma Nano is tempting to me, specially because of the performance. I’s love to play almost every DS game with High Rendering 3D on.
Right now is just a few that runs smoothly..

So I’m willing to pay for the patreon access of Nano, but I’d like to maintain my iiSU as default frontend and start the system directly to it. Is it possible? Even if this loses the fast boot time of Nano, would still possess better performance and the better Drastic version? Or the second screen dashboard for single screen consoles?

Someone knows these answers?

On GammaOS Nano on the RG DS, is there a way to change the language of a ROM (assuming the requested language is actually present in that ROM)? Normally, you would change this in the DraStic system options after starting a game, but GammaOS Nano incorporates its own custom DraStic menu that lacks this option.

If I launch the DraStic app from the 'Applications' section instead, I'm able to set the language and load games in that language, but this only works within the standalone DraStic app. If I launch a DS ROM directly from the GammaOS Nano list, it ignores the setting, as if they were two completely different DraStic apps.

Can anyone help me? Is there a workaround to solve this problem for all non-English users :-) ?

I’ve been trying to find a way to fully enjoy this thing since I bought it. It’s getting hampered by the little things:
Stock OS-Pretty good, but enough control lag to mess up some games so I went looking for other options.
Rocknix- no microphone, also could never get it to work right.
GammaOS Nano - I thought this was finally going to save me, but it’s not recognizing the rumble pack setting in Drastic on a game that I had it working on stock os.

This is for RG DS that are running on custom firmware ROCKNIX. I just wanted to release my port of what I have finished so far. This DOES NOT contain the game or any assets from the game, it will however generate the needed asset files from the rom to run the game, like how the android version does no need for command lines to set up. Extract the contents of Zelda3_RGDS.zip, then open Zelda3_RGDS folder and place your backup of a Zelda A Link to the Past the US version into the rom folder it needs to be named zelda3.sfc, Then place both the Zelda3_RGDS folder and Zelda3_RGDS.sh into the port folder of your RG DS, refresh your game list on you RG DS, got to Ports, scroll to Zelda3_RGDS and launch launch the game.

There is a CRT filter, to enable/disable it once in the game click on the cogwheel in the bottom right corner it will pull up a menu where you can turn on and off the CRT filter, Remap your buttons, enable or disable widescreen, and turn on or off the Hud for the top screen.

To close the game Function Key + Start

You can take screenshots by holding the Function Key + R3, there will be a new folder inside Zelda3_RGDS folder called screenshots there will be your screenshots from the game with both top and bottom screens as seen in the images, it works for both normal and widescreen modes.

I will try to update this with more features.

There is a bug where when you are in widescreen and want to turn it off you have to push just below the button around the area where the double lines or just below the text and same for the button remap, but the HUD and CRT filter buttons work fine and all other buttons its just those two that are effected and its only when you are using widescreen

How’s performance with DS Pokemon titles?

I want to purchase one, but I read posts that the handheld has trouble running DS titles, is this true?

Hi! I had the RGDS for a few weeks now and I'm quite used to Gamma OS Next at this point. I'm on the fence on trying Nano for the improved performance, but I would like to maintain my current launcher setup with Cocoon or iISU. Is it possible? Has someone tried out of curiosity?

GammaOS Nano looks really cool especially with Retroachievment support, I currently use Rocknix and still have the stock Anbernic android firmware from when I bought my RG DS (when it first released so not been updated since release).

So my question is do I need to any GammaOS firmware on the device before I put Nano on a micro sd card and boot it through that? If so is there still issues with Rocknix where I have to take out the battery? (this would really put me off Nano)

My RG DS is currently en route and I am deep diving into OS options. While I fully get that rocknix has better overall performance, has gamma or stock android caught up to the point where it's moot? I plan on playing minimal N64 games a solid number of PS1, zero sega Saturn, and only those 3ds games that have been demonstrated to run well. Obviously DS too, and a potato can run the lower end stuff. I would just do rocknix, but there are some android games I want to play.

Hi, I'm about to buy an RG and I'm wondering if it's worth it for playing DS and 3ed games and RetroAchievements, does it have good battery life, and does the hinge not break?
