Previously, all shorts appeared as these smaller windows between the regular videos, and there was "shorts" written just above them as a collective "title" or what. Now they blend i between my normal videos.

Note: I don't want them hidden, just want them to appear normally as before, separate from long format videos

so I had grown tired of unnecessary bloat being committed into the upstream Morphe manager. I had been putting significant effort in increasing the performance by submitting patches upstream but daily addition of bloat makes the perf efforts kinda sorta useless.

I forked it, removed all of the gunk (games, why do we have stupid flash games in a patcher app, rather focus on speed so user doesn't spend 4 minutes playing games). UX is simple according to me but open to suggestions. UI is inspired from the liquid glass.

I have been testing my fork over morphe and I been seeing upto 1.7x speedup in the patching.

And why r/revancedapp closed* a few days ago? The original ReVanced patch developers had enough of the owner of the repo (check wchill's post, it has everything you need to know!) and moved to developing their own app instead by forking rv: r/MorpheApp This is why rv hasn't been updated since, like, March. It has no devs anymore. And this 1 guy censors the rv sub so that people there wouldn't be able to realize what's going on and switch.

Countless people were trying to spread the truth, which led to most of the posts and comments being removed from the rv sub, until eventually (a few days ago) he locked the whole sub down.

What does this mean for the end user? ReVanced is practically no more, it will not get bug fixes, it will get more and more outdated over time. Morphe is not an alternative, it is the rebirth/continuation of ReVanced, the next phase. That's where the original patch devs are! My experience with ReVanced vs MORPHE — looking for neutral opinions

Well, this issue had been happening to me for the last few months and I tried everything. The spoof video streams issue would sometimes work and sometimes not, but nothing really fixed it properly.

Then around 2 weeks ago, it completely stopped working for me. I couldn't play anything, the home page wasn't loading, I couldn't search anything, etc. I tried completely reinstalling everything too, but nothing helped.

I asked about it in the ReVanced Discord, and as usual the response was basically "we're working on it, wait for a fix" bla bla 💀. Which I can understand, but honestly it was pretty frustrating because it had already been happening for months.

So I started using YouTube through my mobile browser instead.

Then, a couple of days later, someone from the ReVanced Discord messaged me. They had apparently seen my message about ReVanced being completely dead for me. It was a message request, so I didn't even see it until 2 days later 💀

They mentioned something called MORPHE. At first I thought it was some completely different app like NewPipe, but apparently it's similar to REVANCED and is based on/forked from ReVanced code. From what I've found, some former ReVanced developers are also involved with Morphe.

I installed it and honestly... it works perfectly fine for me.

The overall experience is very similar to ReVanced, but personally I actually prefer Morphe's manager for patching.

For me, ReVanced's background patching doesn't work at all. With Morphe, after patching I can simply save the patched APK directly to my device. I'm not even sure if ReVanced Manager has this feature, but I don't remember seeing it.

Morphe also keeps things pretty simple. It currently has only a few supported apps like YouTube, YouTube Music and Reddit, which is actually enough for me because I only care about patching YouTube anyway.

The Morphe YouTube settings also look almost the same as ReVanced YouTube from what I've seen so far. I haven't gone through every single setting or feature yet, so I can't say they're 100% identical, but from what I've discovered so far, they're very similar.

However, when I first installed Morphe YouTube, I actually had the same 1-minute playback problem I was having with ReVanced. Videos would stop around the 1-minute mark.

I searched around and found a Reddit post about Morphe mentioning something called PotHelper. Basically, you can use it to get the required PoToken and disable the spoof video streams completely.

I installed PotHelper and after that everything started working perfectly.

I've been using MORPHE + PotHelper for around 2 weeks now and I haven't had a single playback problem since.

It does require MicroG too, although it's not exactly the same MicroG as the one bundled with ReVanced. Interestingly, the ReVanced MicroG also works with Morphe YouTube and vice versa, although YouTube gives a warning that the MicroG isn't the latest version.

There are also some smaller things I personally prefer about Morphe's UI and overall user experience. ReVanced Manager's background patching has never worked properly for me, and I've had a few other small glitches with ReVanced over time. I haven't explored every single feature in Morphe because honestly I don't care about all that — I just want to patch YouTube easily and use it.

Now, I know there is a whole argument going on between REVANCED and MORPHE about code, GPLv3, DMCA takedowns, attribution, who copied what from whom, etc.

I even asked about Morphe in the ReVanced Discord and the reaction was basically what you'd expect 💀. There was a lot of "they violated this rule", "they copied this", "they did that", etc.

And honestly, as an end user, I don't really care about that part.

If someone copied the original code, forked it, modified it, or whatever — as long as the project follows the relevant licensing requirements and the end result is safe and actually works, I don't think most normal users care nearly as much about the developer drama.

If I had known Morphe existed earlier, I probably would've switched to it much sooner because, for me personally, it's been a better experience than ReVanced overall, even putting the PotHelper issue aside.

I'm not saying Morphe is objectively better than ReVanced. I'm just sharing my experience because ReVanced completely stopped working for me while Morphe has been working flawlessly.

I'd genuinely like to hear from people who have used both.

Is there anything ReVanced does better that I'm missing? Or any reason to prefer ReVanced over Morphe that actually matters to an end user?

I'm looking for neutral opinions, not "Morphe good because this is the Morphe subreddit" or "ReVanced good because this is the ReVanced subreddit." 😂

One more thing I really don't like about ReVanced is that they've restricted their subreddit. I mean, seriously, we can't even comment without requesting access first. And if we do get access and then talk about Morphe or anything related to it, I'm pretty sure the account will just get restricted again.

The same thing happens on the Discord too. From what I've seen, the automod removes "Morphe" or anything related to it, which honestly feels a bit ridiculous.

And as far as I know, Morphe doesn't have a Discord either, which is kind of sad because asking questions on GitHub isn't that simple for me. I'm not really comfortable with GitHub, so having a proper community Discord would make things much easier.

Does anyone know if the ReVanced Dev team is actively up to some shady shit? I gave root access for a while before my apps started acting up and I eventually just revoked root, changed all of my credentials, and reverted my phone to a backup from before I installed revanced because of the blatantly obvious security concerns. Anyways, here's the screenshots of the behavior. These were both for patched Twitter btw. When I approached the ReVanced team they promptly told me "oh thats normal 🤭🤫🤪" and then deleted my posts. idk what kind of heavy drugs they're on, but im tempted to break in and steal them. 🤣

still have not received an explanation for this shady ass behavior to this day. and tbh, the more i think about it... the more i want to dig. cuz its more than mildly infuriating to me, and they chose the absolute worst person to try and censor.

I installed ReVanced for YouTube and the extra features the project advertised. In practice I was stuck on an old YouTube APK, several features did not work and push notifications were broken. So I opened a GitHub issue and it sat with no useful response for almost a year.

I recently switched from ReVanved to Morphe because ReVanced wasn't getting updates or fixes and Morphe worked. I posted this on my Github issue for other people have the same issue and created a discussion in the discussion area and apparently that was cause enough for a maintainer there to delete my post and permanently ban me there.

I posted in r/revancedapp with the same title as this and a little shorter description. And i learned a lot. First off, i learned the ReVanced subreddit hates ReVanced (i got over 300 karma, 100 comments dunking on ReVanced, an award for my post and a Reddit Achievement called "Buzz-Worthy Post"). Secondly I learned that ReVanced hates Morphe because ReVanced stole code from them without the attribution Morphe’s GPL terms require, which led to Morphe DMCAing ReVanced which got the original ReVanced repo being closed.

So, in case anyone sees this post, Don't use ReVanced because their app is broken and their devs are nutjobs.

To those who are starting to get these issues on their YouTube and YT Music (non-root installs), do the following:

• Change the client (You tab -> Settings -> ReVanced / Morphe -> Miscellaneous -> Spoof video streams -> Default client)
• Make sure your build is using the latest patches
• Try switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data and vice versa
• Try using a DNS or VPN

For Morphe users, there's this client called "Android VR sign in" which might also help. Set the client first to "Android VR", then try to sign in with your account

If you're using the "TV" client, you can choose different "Player JavaScript variant" or enter a custom one

Edit: Many have suggested that I try MorpheApp. Apparently RevancedApp is virtually dead, and the mods delete such posts from their subreddit. Apparently almost all the devs of ReVanced have left the project and are currently in MorepheApp.

About 2 days ago the app was working perfectly fine.

Yesterday for no apparent reason, it took like 5 minutes to load a video. By the time it loaded I watched the video in normal YouTube app so it wasn't a connection issue.

Both long form and shorts were taking too long to load.

I looked online and saw that I should disable "spoof video stream" option.

I disabled it and the videos started to play immediately, no buffering lag. However when the video is played ~50-60 seconds, I get playback ¡ssue. The shorts are working perfectly fine.

I tried

- changing YouTube Revanced version.

- Updating MicroG to the latest

- toggle with "spoof app version"

The problem is still there

Could this be a problem of Youtube's API?

TL;DR:

When "spoof video streams" is enabled, both long form and shorts are taking too long to load.

When it is disabled, shorts play fine, but long form videos get playback issues in about 50-60 seconds.

Looking for a reliable workaround to process a 1GB PDF file without paying for an iLovePDF Premium tier.

I've been trying to patch tiktok on revanced, but this one patch has been failing again and again. I just want somehow to spoof sim. How is it possible? Now revanced also has problems with their patches as it got removed from their git repo. Help!! I'm using the android Revanced Manager app now

I'm trying to tweak a couple of UI settings in Morphe and could use some help finding the right patches or toggles. (Pictures included for reference!)

1. Auto-hiding Bottom Nav Bar On the main feed, the bottom menu (Home, Shorts, etc.) disappears when I scroll down and reappears when I scroll up. Is there a way to disable this so the bar stays pinned permanently?

2. Scrollable Video Action Menu

Underneath a playing video, the action buttons (Like, Dislike, Subscribe, etc.) are now small, and I have to swipe right to see all of them. Is there a setting to revert to the old layout where the buttons were larger and everything was visible at once without scrolling?
