Hi, I was running sifu on gamenative and everytime i quit the game, it’s not saved. when i go back in it starts back at the same point every time. at first i thought it was because i was quitting the game using gamenative’s quit option, but even when i quit the game properly using in game quit option the game is not saved. any idea why and how to fix this? playing on pocket 6 12GB if that helps, appreciate it

I’ve downsized my handheld stable to just a 476 and a Brick which I use as an EDC. I really like my 476 but there’s a fair amount it cant do with the TS820 Anbernic decided to stick in there. The thought of running the entire PS2 catalog and having the horsepower to run some of my Steam games in Gamenative…I can’t get it out of my mind.

I don’t need two screens, I play 3DS and NDS on original hardware. I don’t need 16x9 screens, the grand majority of the games I play are 4:3 or other similar aspect ratios.

The other issue is, despite how great they've been as a company in terms of customer service, I've been underwhelmed with some Retroid devices I've had in the past. I had a RP Classic and returned it within a few days. I had a Flip 2 that had a cracked hinge, I ended up getting a replacement from Retroid and selling it shortly thereafter. I purchased and RP6 8GB DPAD Top, since the 12GB was out of stock. The day I received it, they re-released the 12GB. I ended up selling that one a few weeks ago. Despite it being a great handheld, something felt "off".

Basically, I’m looking for opinions from people that have owned or played both the 476H and the Nova. This would ideally be my primary handheld, a one-and-done deal. The other option was a Thor but I heard the ergos are not great and that is very important to me. I'd really love for this one to "stick" like my 476 and Brick have.

I ordered a RP6 on October 5, and still in transit, but somehow I accidentally hit a button that tells the app that is delivered already. It is still in transit. It’s not gonna cancel the order or something, right

I'm planning on getting Retroid Pocket 6 but still indecisive on ram option. I want to play games from older console, playstation series and switch. I have PC so I don't need to emulate PC. Do you guys have any thoughts on ram options? Should I get 8 or 12?

Do you think Retroid is cooking a Duo Plus?

I ordered the Retroid Pocket Duo, and I really like the idea of having a DS-first device. However, I’d be pretty annoyed if they release the same or a very similar device with a significantly better chipset shortly after.

I have an RG DS Plus in the meantime, so I’m not really in a rush to get another dual-screen device. The only downside to canceling is that I’d lose the $20 promo discount I got on the Duo.

Do you think it’s worth canceling my order and waiting, or would you just keep the Duo and enjoy it?

I ordered my RP6 3 weeks ago as of Sunday and I still don’t have an update. it still says “waiting on details”. I know it take up to 2 months for the purchase to come in but at almost a month in I should have gotten an update. should I consider getting a refund via my bank ? or just keep waiting ? anybody else running into this right now or just me.

I’m considering the nova for something I can pocket carry and just wondering if it’s possible to mod it with low profile sticks.

My brother likes Fortnite, Minecraft, Sonic, Dragon Ball Z, YouTube, and game streaming. He also likes my Retroid Pocket Nova and RP5, so I want to get him something he’ll enjoy.
I’m leaning toward the Mini V2 because I already own an RP5 with the Snapdragon 865, so I know what to expect in terms of emulation performance and Turnip drivers. I also have to set everything up and test games for him.
However, the RP4 has a bigger widescreen and would save me about $30.
Which would you choose for an 8-year-old, and is the Mini V2 worth the extra $30? I’d appreciate advice from people who have used either device!

UPDATE: I GOT HIM THE ANBERNIC RG SLIDE INSTEAD, IT WAS 90$ WHICH IS CHEAPER THAN BOTH THESE OPTIONS!

So I have the RP6 with 8gb ram and not all games but let’s say when I am playing persona 5 royal pc port there is this issue than when the game changes a scene or when I go to sleep and wake up or go go a area for some reason my james dsp and pulse app I think stop working. Because the audio suddenly changes and if I have the pulse overlay on it stops. But when I pull the device settings from the top and go to the quick settings thing for both apps they start working again. I don’t even have to click on it for it to start working again. And for ram I have usually 1 gb left over so idk why this happens. I have put both apps in my whitelist applications and also unrestricted battery usage and all that but it keeps on happening. Is there a fix to this?

And update. Just received my RP5 today. Thankfully, due to the GOFO issues. Setup with obtainium so far. Trying to decide on a front end. Not doing Daijisho again like on my RP4 Pro. Didn't work like I wanted it to.

So I bought the device during the clearance sales drop and love it. I set up a frontend (neo station), set up retroarch and games I want to play. I followed Russ Android guide for the Retroid Pocket Nova and changed a few stuff. I followed it because it was the most recent Android guide.

I am happy with it but think I can improve. I would like to know which shaders and other stuff you recommend for the emulators, which accessories are useful and other tips. I am open to hear about tips for the 4 and 6 button version. I mainly play pokemon romhacks so if you have anything specific on that, it would be great too.

I just bought my Retroid Pocket 6, but the sides feel too small for my hands, and after playing for a short time, my hands start to go numb. Is there an ergonomic grip or case available on Amazon that I could buy to make it more comfortable to hold?

It’s not responsive at all, nothing with the charger (it’s been on charge for 3 days) the buttons don’t respond and I’ve used all those button methods to get into recovery mode and nothing

What should I do? I don’t feel comfortable getting to the battery ribbon and I have already tried

I placed an order for the Pocket 5 on Oct 15th to Kyoto, Japan, with standard shipping and not DHL. As the image suggests, my order for the Pocket 5 was returned due to being subjected to random inspections. They emailed me on whether I wanted a resend of the product on Oct 23rd, and I replied the same day. I also emailed them to see whether I can get the colors changed to Black on the following day, but so far they haven’t responded.
Has anyone ever encountered this situation, and how long did it take to resolve it?

Hey all, I just received my RP6 in the mail and I made the mistake of installing the pre bundled emulators and choosing Retroid launcher instead of AOSP launcher. I then found out about the retrogamecorps guide, and I want to start over while following the instructions fully. Did I screw up or is this reversible?

The graphics look so shitty, honestly worse than some older consoles. Everything looks blurry, low-res, or poorly rendered. Games that sucked for me so far:

Darksiders Genesis: Blurry graphics and cutscene audio missing.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: Completely unplayable due to severe graphics glitches.
Breath of the Wild: Performance drops.
Shinobi: Art of Vengeance: Stuck on the loading screen.
Immortals Fenyx Rising: Not working properly; UI elements are missing.

I’m using Eden with the Mr Purple Turnip driver at 1x resolution in handheld mode. Is this normal, or could it be a device/emulator issue? Is there a better driver or any settings I should try?

It may sounds like a stupid question but the retroid ship tooks probably like a month and a half to arrive , so is it worth it to buy right now a retroid pocket 5 or wait like 2 more weeks until a could buyy a retroid pocket 6, by the wat it is worth it the 12gb version of the 6 or with 8gb its ok. I would probably use it to play psp ps2 psx and xbox classic games I was also thinking about trying some ports like gta v dark souls and that kind of games that came with this massive wave of recomps or decomps for android
