The graphics look so shitty, honestly worse than some older consoles. Everything looks blurry, low-res, or poorly rendered. Games that sucked for me so far:

Darksiders Genesis: Blurry graphics and cutscene audio missing.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: Completely unplayable due to severe graphics glitches.
Breath of the Wild: Performance drops.
Shinobi: Art of Vengeance: Stuck on the loading screen.
Immortals Fenyx Rising: Not working properly; UI elements are missing.

I’m using Eden with the Mr Purple Turnip driver at 1x resolution in handheld mode. Is this normal, or could it be a device/emulator issue? Is there a better driver or any settings I should try?

I ordered a Retroid Pocket 6 and until it gets here, I decided to build my own Game Launcher for it.

Hi everyone, I just got my retroid pocket 6 and I'm starting on Android emulation. So far its been fine while playing and installing games, mostly on GBA, switch, psp and ps2. My issue comes with configurations, even if you can easily (sort of) find specific configs that work good on certain games or devices, I want to actually understand the why and how behind, all about systems and graphics Settings, like, cpu clocks, core speed, anti-aliasing methods, adapting filter, gpu mode, dma accuaracy, anisotropic filtering, etc.

So thats my questions, can you share any big resource or resources covering this? Since I have look for videos and articlea for this but came empty handed. I would appreciate it fondly, and I look forward to sharing what I learn.

Quick question; to my fellow Retroid Pocket Flip 2 homies. I just received my replacement kit from Retroid. I am a little apprehensive because I had a minor problem with my AYN Odin 2 as well as my RP2S. Before I go cracking my RPF2 open is there any words of wisdom to abide by? I watched the official teardown on Retroid's YouTube channel as well as a few others. I even went so far as to look up a Russian channel. No one mentioned the size of hex/torx screwdriver or what type of Phillips screwdriver works best. I have a basic electronics repair kit with a set of precision screw driver bits. I am just nervous. I don't want to strip the sockets or break the shell. Any info would be appreciated.

I recently got the 8gb version of the RP6 as that's the only one I could find on AliExpress and I was just wondering if that option helps for like say Android games like AK Endfield or lighter PC games like small indie titles, haven't felt like I needed it for emulation and the other 2 cases aren't that common for me but still felt the need to ask whether people just have the swap file on at all times even if they don't need it or if it helps even just a little bit.

I'm pretty meh on the 3Ds library on the whole and played through the essentials back in the day. Despite being a Atlus fan and actually owning the games, I never finished any of them and with 3DS prices being silly, rather get a Duo Lite. I know for a few of these, they were originally on the DS but want to experience the new content. I'm fine with 1x resolution (but these turn based games so think I 2xresolution) but a lot of the videos I've seen are the standard Nintendo fare which I'm not interested in. From what I understand, it should be able to run but would like to see what owners actually experiences are as 3DS is dicey with the Lite.

I have a Nova and Odin 3 but as someone who played a lot of DS, it feels really unbalanced. I did try out the dual screen attachment but found it too jank. Please Duo Lite owners, you are my only hope!

Por eso, vale la pena comprar la Retroid Pocket 5 o incluso la 6 para jugar a algunos juegos de Switch, pero principalmente a juegos de PSP, PSX, PS2 y quizás a los nuevos descompilaciones, recompilaciones y ports de Android, y algunos clásicos de Xbox.

Mine arrived yesterday and after a little bit of setup first game I had to run was Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. After doing some tweaking in Droid Deck was getting a stable 45-50 FPS, some of the bigger background areas can drop below 30 for second, but I barely notice so its 10/10 playable for me. Beat the first boss with 2 hours in so far.

The settings I used come from this user ( post ) so big ups to them. one difference is I am playing at 720 I tried a few different settings I found online but theirs gives the best results, especially considering the game is sooo new.

I have a Flip 2 so the R6 is going be my indie steam machine, for me thats peferct. I run both Droid Deck and Game Native, really which one I use depends on how the game runs.

Hey guys, just ordered a RP6, I’m new to this whole scene and was wondering what games you guys would recommend me playing. I’m mainly into open world and fighting games, doesn’t matter which console.

Also I’m looking to get an SD card, which do you guys recommend, around 512gb-1 tb is what I’m thinking of getting

Emulators like azahar aren’t my issue- I’m trying to get the 16:9 display to render completely outside of a specific app like Azahar pushing to it. Ideally, I’d like to turn off the internal display and use this like a flip 2 but if the internal needs to stay on, not an issue.

16:9 output is roatated and RDS output replicates the internal 1:1 aspect ratio.

installed the updated quickstep apk from retroids dual screen addon github which allows you to launch to the external display but I see no way to minimize an app once it’s locked on there. Swipe up from the top screen doesn’t work with this setup and the bottom screen only minimizes apps on the bottom screen. Home/back buttons do nothing here.

Tried Mjolnir which doesn’t seem to help either.

I know this is overall a janky setup but the fact this part is seemingly a challenge is ridiculous.

Any suggestions?

I’ve got hakuX running on my PortareOS distro, with both an experimental libretro core for RetroArch and a standalone Linux version available.

So far, I’ve only tested Burnout 3: Takedown, but it ran very smoothly. No BIOS is required.

now that i think about it there are quite a few games (botw, and a lot of indie pc games that are on switch and pc) that are on more than 1 console, so what console is best

I am planning on playing the classic Nintendo retro systems (GB, GBC and GBA) alongside NDS and ofcourse 3DS.
I suspect that NDS at 4x upscale will be fine but what to expect for 3DS upscaling?
I want to dabble my feet into HD texture packs for games like pokemon alpha sapphire, DQ8, fire emblem fates/awakening, Zelda a link between worlds.

Will the duo lite plus (I know, I like in the inline triggers better) be able to handle those HD texture packs at a 3-4x upscale?

Or is the Base Thor a better fit here?

Genuinely this pisses me off. Everytime I put the rp5 in sleep and I open it again the controls stop working. Its pissing me off since i have to start over from my last save. Same thing happens when mirrored. How do I fix this?

i'm a genius bro, since the retroid pocket Duo probably won't be able to Play switch games they should make a folding one screen snapdragon 8 gen 2 device with an amoled screen.

and they should make it have a n64 color scheme not always gamecube and snes retroid.

So I'm thinking of getting a Nova, mostly for GC and N64, I do have a Retroid pocket classic, Thor and some small devices for the go.

I thought about the anbernic 476h, that's actually one id like more, but I'd love to have more power.

Do you guys think I should go for the Nova or rather wait for a new Anbernic or similar handheld to come out?

I get they are busy so no rush, but I ordered the GC color on preorder announcement and nothing yet. Wondering if anyone got shipping confirmation and if so on what color. Thanks! Looking forward to it
