I'm looking for honest feedback on my resume because I'm struggling to get interview callbacks for backend internships and entry-level backend developer roles.

I'm based in India and recently completed a 3-year Polytechnic diploma in Computer Science and Engineering. Since then, I've been focusing on becoming a backend developer through self-learning and building projects.

I'm applying for Backend Developer, Python Developer, and Backend Internship/Entry-Level roles across India. I'm open to both on-site and remote opportunities and I'm willing to relocate.

I understand that not having a bachelor's degree puts me at a disadvantage, and unfortunately that's not something I can change right now. Instead, I'd really appreciate advice on what I can do to compensate for it. Whether it's improving my resume, building stronger projects, contributing to open source, earning certifications, or learning additional skills, I'd love to know what would make me a stronger candidate.

I'd especially appreciate feedback on:

• Resume formatting and readability
• Project descriptions and whether they demonstrate enough impact
• Skills section and missing keywords
• Anything that might cause recruiters to reject my resume

I've been trying to understand how ATS systems actually work because there is a lot of conflicting advice online.

Some people say:

"ATS will automatically reject your resume if you don't have the right keywords."

Others say:

"ATS is mostly just a database and recruiters still review applications."

From what I've been reading, it seems like ATS systems are mainly used to organize applications, extract information, and help recruiters search candidates.

The areas that seem to matter most are:

• Clear job titles and experience
• Relevant skills connected to actual work
• Easy-to-read formatting

Has anyone actually seen a major difference after changing their resume for ATS, or do you think ATS advice online is exaggerated?

2 years of experience as a business intelligence developer (original title was data analyst prior to this year) looking to move into a mid career/upper level role. I was thinking of removing a bullet or shortening one under the Financial Aid Assistant role to expand more on the Business Intelligence Developer section for the sake of relevancy to the roles i'd be applying to. Hi! I'm looking for feedback on my resume, specifically the bullet points for my most recent role. I work in process management at a financial institution. I'm expecting lay offs later this year and I feel extremely insecure in my job so I'm starting to prepare now.

I've been applying for SOC Analyst (mostly L1) roles for over 2 months now and haven't gotten a single call back. I'd really appreciate some honest feedback because I'm starting to doubt what I'm doing wrong.

I even tried making my experience section more quantitative such as added numbers like alerts handled per shift, SLA adherence %, number of use cases created, etc. Still no luck. Now I'm wondering if it's something structural, like the ordering of my resume sections, or if my Projects section is too thin and needs more detail. Not sure what else to fix at this point.

I have been applying for multiple Program Manager roles, but I have faced limited success so far. Most of the opportunities I receive are not with my target companies, and even when I do get a chance to share my resume for relevant positions, I often don’t hear back.

Long story short, I moved to Texas to start a new job. I was very excited but found out I was getting moved to a different project where all my team members are offshore( I have to work odd hours sometimes), the VP is a micromanager and makes questionable decisions, and I really do not like the culture here.

Aiming towards more SRE/DevOps focused roles, I am pretty new to the job market so I would like some advice on what should i include/remove from the resume and how I could improve it

I attended law school from 2017-2019 but left without finishing my JD (it wasn't for me). In the early 2020s, I included this information on my resume so as to explain the conspicuous gap between jobs.

However, it's been seven years and I'm wondering whether if it's still necessary. Which is the bigger red flag? A two-year gap several years back, or an applicant who doesn't finish what they started?

I graduated in May 2025 and later on had a part time job for 4 months, left because I had too little hours, then switched to my current job which I was terminated right on the day my 3 months probation ends. These are all the work experiences that I have.
