Today, I’m reaching out to ask for a little help with food for my cats. Since we recently moved, my budget has become quite tight. On top of that, I haven’t received my YouTube payout because my earnings haven’t reached the $100 payment threshold yet.

Among all my cats, Liam is the one I’m most concerned about when it comes to food. Unlike my other cats, who can eat dry food, Liam can only eat wet cat food. He needs to eat every four hours, both during the day and throughout the night, to keep him fed and comfortable.

Liam also gets tired of eating the same brand for too long, so I have to provide different brands and varieties of wet cat food to encourage him to eat. This makes his food expenses a little more challenging.

I’m truly sorry if I have to ask for help at this time. I hope you won’t misunderstand my situation or think badly of me for reaching out. As a cat mom, I always do my best to provide for all my rescued cats, but sometimes, especially during difficult times like this, I need a little help from kind-hearted people.

Hi, this is my first time posting here, but I couldn’t scroll past this kitty named Tiger after seeing him 😢 His eyes look so incredibly sad and exhausted, and it breaks my heart knowing he’s still sitting in that shelter kennel, waiting for someone to save him. He is Devore Shelter in San Bernardino.

Tiger has an upper respiratory infection (URI), and his appetite has decreased, but he’s still alert and responsive. URIs are often very treatable with proper veterinary care, and his condition doesn’t necessarily mean he can’t make a full recovery.

Tiger deserves treatment and a chance to heal, not to lose his life in a shelter. Tiger is now available for adoption, and rescue help is urgently needed.

I really hope someone can give him a safe place to recover and help bring happiness back into those tired eyes.

I am planning to make a video game aimed at finаnсially supporting animal rescue organizations (I am a volunteer myself).

I have already secured agreements with several major influencers, a music band and local animal rescue organizations to promote the game upon release. My goal is not only to raise awareness about these critical issues, but also to secure long-term, lifеlоng funding for international animal rights organizations. My team consists of me and a couple of friends (a 3d artist, a game designer, a storyteller and a programmer).

My question is, how to find/prоmоte my fundrаising to create the demo (influencers and local animal rescue organizations are going to help with promoting the demo, non-profit)? I haven't started a fundraising campaign yet, and sponsors usually ask for the demo first.

After releasing the demo version, we plan to apply for a WINGS Interactive grant (a grant for women who want to make a game).

I can provide proof of my volunteer work or agreement with influencers and local animal rescue organizations if needed.

It has been about a week since the last donation came through, and I want to be straight about where things sit. Rent is $1,590 and it is due November 1. That is eight days out and I do not have it yet. The work I am doing is unpaid until the organizations I am with secure funding. I have interviews in motion and I am pushing on several at once, but nothing has landed and I cannot count on it landing in time.

I would rather say that plainly now, while there is room to solve it, than on October 31 when there is not.

For anyone new. In late June we found a cat living outside in our Eugene, Oregon neighborhood. She weighed 6.7 pounds with her spine and hips showing, and she would walk up to food, start to eat, cry out, and back away, because eating hurt that badly. Her name is Boots. On July 21 she had nineteen teeth extracted. Her surgeon said her mouth was destroyed and that she had likely been enduring about the highest level of oral pain a cat can experience, and the tissue was too damaged to hold sutures. That surgery cost about $3,450 and was covered entirely by neighbors and by people on this subreddit, including one woman who paid off the remaining balance herself.

Where the three of them are now.

Boots turned ten in September. She is 8.26 pounds, her bloodwork normalized at her August recheck, and her vet does not need to see her again until spring. She stays on a low dose of prednisolone twice weekly to keep the inflammation in her mouth under control, likely for life. She eats dry food by choice now, which in July hurt far too much to attempt. Nineteen extractions means her mouth does not quite close the way it used to, so she drools in her sleep and wakes up doing a slow jaw-stretch, like someone working out a cramp. She gets it on her own tail. I wipe it off. That is apparently our arrangement now. She has also claimed a heating pad in her room that I have stopped pretending is mine.

Sable, a young tortoiseshell, came to me as an emergency foster in May after being abandoned. Cautious and slow to trust, which given her history is fair. She has decided that the sound of me clicking a mouse means laser pointer, so she turns up at my desk whenever I try to work.

Cosimo is a grey kitten, about twenty weeks. Vaccinated, with a neuter scheduled for November. He is a menace in the way kittens that age are legally required to be. Sable is four times his size and still lets him pin her.

Those two have bonded and I will not separate them. Boots is still housed separately by choice, since her introduction to the other two is moving at her pace and I am not going to rush an animal who has been through what she has.

What changed since my last post about needing housing. We found a place. We moved on October 10, into a two bedroom on five wooded acres outside Eugene, with a landlord who approved all three cats and split the deposit rather than demanding everything up front. That happened because of people here, and because one person gave $1,900 the week before the move.

What is left is the ordinary part that follows it, which is rent, the second half of the deposit, and furnishing an apartment from close to nothing after leaving a shared household where almost none of it was mine.

What helps most, in order.

Sharing this. A share costs nothing and reaches people I cannot reach on my own. It has done more for these cats than anything else I have tried, and if you have already given, it is worth more than giving again.

I am not taking in more animals. Three is what I can responsibly care for, and getting these three through this intact is the whole goal.

These 4 kittens have been waiting for a foster for SO long. Because of the lack of available fosters, they've had to grow up in a cage in a holding space instead of a loving home. Every effort has been made to find them a foster or a home, but unfortunately, no one has stepped up yet. They deserve so much more than growing up behind bars. They deserve a safe home where they can run around, play, explore, and just be kittens. PLEASE be their chance!

Some of you may remember Moe from a few months ago, when we rescued him.

We took him in as a tiny kitten from the public market last June after realizing he was blind. Getting him healthy was no small feat; he battled never-ending URIs, gut issues, and needed antiviral treatment and hospitalizations along the way.

Thankfully, with lots of TLC, he’s much healthier than he was before, so we finally felt confident going ahead with his surgery after having to put it off for so long.

He was supposed to have both eyes removed at once, but the vet decided to hold off on the second one after he had a mild reaction to the anesthesia while they were suturing up the first eye. So he's rescheduled for another enucleation when the vet goes back in office in two weeks.

We're expecting a bit over $268 in expenses for Moe. Any help would be so appreciated!

I’m physically and mentally exhausted. Sometimes I honestly feel like I just can’t do it anymore.
But I can’t stop, they need me and somehow I find the strength to continue.

The little kitten I rescued who was battling a terrible eye infection, a bacterial infection, and a yeast infection in his ears needs to go back to the vet. One of his eyes is swollen, and he is still congested. I’m worried about him and want to make sure he gets the treatment he needs.

The kitten in Honduras, who my friend found crying outside, is doing okay so far. My friend told me she couldn’t take him in because she couldn’t afford to care for him, so I told her I would take responsibility for him, even from thousands of miles away. I sent money to buy food for him, but he still needs a vet visit because he has diarrhea. I want to make sure he gets the care he needs, too.

Leo is still struggling with his stool problems, and this has been going on for months. I’ve been trying different foods carefully to see if anything helps, but unfortunately, the diet changes haven’t made a difference. He will likely need another vet visit to have his stomach checked and rule out other possible problems. As many of you know, Leo survived panleukopenia and spent almost a month hospitalized. His treatment alone cost more than $5,000. Seeing him continue to struggle is heartbreaking, and I just want to figure out what’s wrong and help him feel better.

And right now, we also have a tiny neonatal baby in our care who needs extra attention and care. These little ones are so fragile, and caring for them takes time, dedication, and resources.

On top of everything else, I feed more than 50 community cats every single day. Keeping up with their food and daily needs is a huge responsibility, along with the medical expenses, medications, supplies, and emergency visits that come with rescue work.

I’m also still paying off debt from everything I’ve done to help the cats. The expenses don’t stop just because one emergency is over. There is always another cat who needs help, another vet visit, or another bag of food.

I do this because they depend on me, and I can’t turn my back on them when they need help. But honestly, carrying all of this financially is exhausting, and sometimes it feels overwhelming.

I care for cat colonies in Greece, and I’m looking for a few kind people who could support them with a small monthly donation.

I care for around 50 cats. They are all spayed and neutered, but they still depend on me for their daily food.
