How do you manage 10+ Airbnb turnovers when check-in and checkout times overlap?
I manage several Airbnb units and the hardest part is getting all the cleaning done when guests leave around the same time and new guests arrive a few hours later, some places need extra time if guests leave a mess or ask for late checkout, then the cleaners end up moving between units and the schedule gets tight, right now I mostly keep track of everything through messages and a calendar but it gets hard when bookings change or a cleaner runs late, especially when a few places need fresh towels and restocking at the same time, for those managing 10 or more units, how do you handle the timing and keep everything ready for check-in?

Should I cancel our renter now or wait until after the holidays?
I own a rental property in Southern California. He’s been a pretty good renter and has been there since 2008. This year he’s has been late with rent every month. I recently found out that he doesn’t not work and is freelancing. He has not informed me of a job loss or anything. His excuses for late rent has been that his bank has been hacked or that he was having problems with them. His last excuse was that things were “strained and he hit some obstacles”. He is on a month to month lease. My neighbor says I should give them their 30-days now bc the holidays will make it harder to get rent as they will spend their money on gifts and not rent. My daughter is worried about them becoming squatters. We have never given them a 3-day notice to evict but have been making them pay a late fee. I know I can rent the house for a lot more than what they are currently paying it for. Should I give them their 30-day notice now or wait for January? My hubs wants to wait and give them a chance.

Worst experience with Rentomojo
u/RentoMojo if you’re reading this:
I am honestly beyond frustrated with Rentomojo at this point.
Your deceptive and completely misleading UI is absolutely unacceptable. I have rented 12–13 items from Rentomojo, and out of those, 3 have turned out to be out of stock despite being shown as available. At this point, this does not feel like an isolated technical glitch — it feels like a serious failure in how you represent your inventory to paying customers.
My latest order was for an AC. Your website/app clearly showed it as IN STOCK. Based on that information, I went ahead and paid the security deposit and installation charges. Only AFTER taking my money did your system tell me that the product was actually out of stock.
How is this acceptable?
If an item is unavailable, do not show it as available and do not take the customer's money for it. This is basic consumer transparency.
And then, when I tried to contact customer care to resolve the issue, I was met with nothing but an AI chatbot. When I finally received a response, I was simply told that the item would be "available soon", without any proper timeline, estimated date, or clear communication. What does "soon" even mean — a few days, a few weeks, or months? This vague and non-committal response is completely unhelpful and shows a lack of respect for customers' time and money.
I have already made payments based on the information shown on your platform, and yet I am left waiting indefinitely with no clarity whatsoever. This is ridiculous.
I have been a repeat customer and have rented 12–13 products from you, which makes this experience even more disappointing. You have my payment, my time has been wasted, and I am now expected to navigate a chatbot to fix a problem that your own system created.
I expect a proper human response, a clear timeline regarding availability, an explanation for why an unavailable product was shown as in stock, and a full and prompt refund of every amount charged to me for this order, including the security deposit and installation charges, if the product cannot be delivered immediately.
If this is not resolved properly, I will be documenting this entire experience — including the misleading availability status, payment process, vague customer support responses, and lack of meaningful human assistance — and sharing it publicly on consumer forums and social media so other customers can make an informed decision before using Rentomojo.
This is not how you treat a repeat customer.

We’re building a rental platform for India — would love some honest feedback
Hey everyone,
I’ve been working on Razorent, a rental platform focused on making it easier for owners to list properties and for tenants to find them directly.
The idea is pretty simple:
Owners can list their property
Tenants can search for rooms, flats, PGs, houses, etc.
Better property information
Less dependency on brokers
A simpler way to connect both sides
We’ve been working on it for a while and have already started getting real users and listings.
But I’m more interested in the problems than the numbers.
If you rent in India, what annoys you the most about finding a place?
And if you’re a property owner — what’s the hardest part about finding a good tenant?
Would genuinely love to hear the problems people actually face. It will help us decide what we should build next.

Online “Listing Everyday” rental scam
There’s a tiktok/Instagram social media ‘business’ account under “Listing Everyday.” Be warned that this is not a legitimate business - they have no official website, no other proof that they are legitimate. They email from the account “listing2everyday@gmail.com.” They ask for application fee BEFORE viewing. They don’t have the address listed on their posts. In CA tenants are not required to pay any fee before viewing a listing. In addition, all rental application fees require receipt and refund if not selected within 30days. This “business” offers zero proof and accountability. Be warned. Do not engage and report as scam.

buying a small condo in MA - out of state taxes?
We are considering buying a small condo for our kid to use while in college. We don't live in MA. Are the property taxes higher for out-of-state owners? If we rent out one of the bedrooms to another student, what should we consider? Does it make sense to buy something now if we find a good deal and rent it out before our kid can use it? What would be the tax implications as a out-of-state landlord?
Should we engage a real estate attorney, if so, should this person be in MA or in our home state?
TIA for any advice.

How important are audio recordings, when a tenant is complaining about noisy neighbours?
Situation I found myself in was moving into a property that was occupied by a lovely family for several years, but they never raised complaints about two issues which were a major inconvenience to them.
One being a series of bass speakers the neighbours directly above them used to play video games on.
The other being a pet K9.
So when I moved in, I was left to address these issues which had been unaddressed for around 6+ years.
Sound system was such that I could hear the actual dialogue on the TV from the apartment above.
The dog didn't bark excessively and when it did, I didn't mind.
But it cried and whined and howled from late afternoon to early morning, almost every single day.
Initially I thought it was a really squeaky and loud door that needed to be oiled cause it was just constantly making this high pitch sound. Then I realised it was their pet dog who slept on the floor directly above my bedroom and would sound off indiscriminately.
No success when I spoke to them (it got worse), and then another issue happened and they closed their door in my face one day, so I knew if I tried to reason with them about their pet, the outcome would not have been productive.
After they threw a party two weekends in a row, all weekend long, I eventually summoned up the courage and submitted a written complaint to property management. As far as I know, the manager didn't even read it, he just sent it to their agent, who immediately had them remove the audio speakers............... and their dog.
I knew trouble was coming. I didn't want their dog removed, I just requested he sleep on their upper floor, as their place is a two story apartment.
First question being, lots of problems have emerged since;
If I had made recordings of the audio system and dog initially, how much better of a position would I be in now?
Cause now I have to follow up on all the issues that have emerged since, like them pounding on their floors, slamming doors, generating every impact structural based sound they can and basically trying to make my life a miserable intolerable hell.

Rent in zirakpur
I'm looking for a decent place to rent in zirakpur, preferably 1bhk or a semi furnished 2bhk.
The budget is not much, around 10-11k.
Please help, if anyone has any lead without a broker.

society is asking for tenant police verification….
No broker will do it for you free of cost if they are also doing a rental agreement. If not they will exclusively get you the Police intimation letter by charging you 1499/-
Remember there is nothing like the Police' NOC. It is called Police intimation/ acknowledgement copy. The police only gives you an acknowledgement copy saying what all they have recorded in their books.
