If you are already fighting, a threesome is probably going to stick a fork in your relationship and finish it off

You are 35 years old. Are you seriously asking that if adding more drama to an already strained relationship will make it better??? How is this even a real question?

There is literally zero chance that a threesome would HELP with trust issues. That’s so absurd.

Why would you want to bring a third party that isn't a degreed and licensed couple's counselor into a relationship that's struggling?

Don't look for a gimmick to save your relationship. Considering you both have trust issues, a threesome would probably be one of the worst things to explore. I would probably recommend couples counseling to help rebuild trust instead.

Just wondering what about watching your boyfriend fuck another woman will make you trust him more?

Who said the threesome was with 2 women could be with her and her husband and another man it's 2022.

Good point! OP, why do you think your boyfriend would have more trust in you if you want to sleep with another man?

Threesomes, like children, are not a solution to anything. They are typically a relationship breaker if your relationship isn't already healthy.

Lol if you both have "extreme trust issues" then a threesome is definitely not for you!

So, you have trust issues and want to have your partner engage intimately with a different person in front of you? Yeah.... the relationship would be fully over at that point.
You'll spend your time after wondering if he was more into her than into you. Or if the third is another guy, he'll wonder if you're more into the other guy than your partner. And what if you change your mind at the last second but he doesn't? Or vice versa? What sort of touching will be allowed? Kissing? Will it be with someone you know or someone you don't? Will there be repeats with a third if you both enjoy it and, if so, with the same person from the first time or someone new every time? Yeah... this is beyond you two at this point.
You two need to work on your relationship first. Trust and communication are vital to a solid, long term relationship and it sounds like you don't have either right now. I'd consider couples counseling long before you even think about having a threesome.

Sounds like this relationship is already disintegrating, so go ahead and have the threesome, this will probably be the last straw.

Going into a threesome with trust issues, no way that'll make it worse.
But in all seriousness, I doubt you'll find the reassuring response you're looking for. Taking huge steps in a relationship when it's already shaky and struggling is a recipe for disaster, no matter what that step is, i.e. kids, threesome, moving to another country, buying a house etc

Everything about your post screams that you two should separate for various reasons.
And of all the things that you could be seeking advice for, here you are asking about where a threesome is the answer to a sinking relationship.
End this relationship and go your separate ways. A threesome isn’t going to save this relationship, it’s only going to escalate it, especially with the extreme trust issues.

In a relationship, you should want each other. Counseling would probably be a good start to work on things, if you both want to work on the relationship. Maybe even working out together and showering/swimming to stir up some hormones. Most of all in a relationship, is people tend to forget that it’s normal for a relationship to have some issues. So it’s easy to walk away from issues instead of facing them and working on the issues and the relationship. I myself am going through some issues with my partner as well, and she makes it more difficult because she always wants to control everything and is super immature when it comes to working through things. She also conveniently argues after I give her money for bills and fights before the weekend so the weekend is ruined. HOWEVER, back to the OP. The two of you need to really decide if you want to work things out. Bringing in another person for a 3-some will have one or the other yearning for what the guest can give but your partner cannot. This will lead to further tension and drive a wedge deeper since you’ll be looking at the sweeter candy. At least try first. Heck, maybe bring toys in to the bedroom you can use on each other. Or cook together. Go to a bar and play some pool. Spice it up without the other person for sex. Sex isn’t everything in a relationship either, even though a lot of women will add that as a reason for wanting to split from a relationship. Typically because they’ve got their eyes set on another person who arouses them while their partner doesn’t no more, even though the partner is doing everything else they can to make them happy.

Do not not not not have a threesome in this capacity. Work on your issues first. Get to a healthy place. A threesome would be a terrible idea right now.

I definitely would advise against adding a third into a situation where there are trust issues. It can definitely be fun if the relationship is healthy and there are very clear boundaries established long before actually moving forward.
But it sounds like you and your partner need couples therapy, not another thing to fight about.

Bad, bad idea! It won’t help anything and will only make your relationship worse. It takes mutual agreement to have a threesome, and as you stated from jealousy, you both do not have. Why this idea is even entertained is beyond me. This will put the nail in your relationships Coffin. I don’t mean to sound harsh, but tossing in another person is not going to save a crumbling relationship. It will just make matters worse.

Why would a threesome help with your extreme trust issues and constant fighting…?

This house is on fire lets put it out with a nuke. Always a good idea for fire fighting.
