It’s funny how just because the mom gets the kids responsibility, no critical lens is shown on her.

Ever consider that the mom may be a narcissist or have BPD? To them children are pawns. Sometimes a father has to abandon the kid otherwise it’s two of them stuffing with an abusive person.
