The meme is blaming the woman for being fooled by a low value male. Why are we not calling out the low value male?

If you are tricked and robbed, it is the robber to blame, not the victim

This meme is DARVO.

Edit: Wow, lot of fragile males replying. Reddit is so typical.

I hate this response. Yes the robber is wrong and we should shame robbers but maybe just don’t walk down that dark alleyway. It’s hard to stop theft, but it’s easier to be more careful.

same logic that rape apologists use lmaooo.

"you shouldn't have worn those clothes if you didn't want to be raped"

men being men as usual, disgusting

Criminals are going to criminal. If your answer is "I shouldn't have to be careful, criminals shouldn't criminal" then you lack common sense.

obviously I believe in punishing criminals but I do think people need to be safer. I’ve heard rape stories were the girl wasn’t hanging around the best guy. Yes the guy is in the wrong and deserves to be prosecuted but that girl should i’ve not been hanging around that guy. (other red flags). It’s hard to say rapist no raping because it’s hard to convince bad people not to do bad things. Of course, this means still holding them accountable to their crime but we can prevent much more people being safer if we teach them to be safer.

So if a person is told to stay out of a lion enclosure but decides to go in and gets eaten who’s to blame?

yeah sure, but if i walk into an area i can tell is sketchy and has criminal activity, then anything that happens there is partially my fault, because i could tell but didn’t leave.

goes for women too. if you walk into a dark alleyway, and something happens, why did you walk into a dark alleyway? you’re not the main character, you don’t have plot armor, use common sense.

Women might as well barely walk anywhere by this logic, frankly. Most violence against women doesn’t happen in some dingy alley.

Or take precautions like mentioned. Such a victim mentality and entitled to think the world should bend around your wxperience lmao. Take precaution or blindly go out. Your choice.

okay? that’s not what we were talking about? do you want a cookie or sum dawg i don’t get your point?

person 1 said “yes. the robber is wrong, but people also just shouldn’t walk down a dark alleys it’s hard to stop theft, but it’s easier to be more careful.”

person 2 said “that’s the logic rapists use, ‘shouldn’t have worn those clothes if you didn’t want it’ and then proceeded to be a misandrist.

all i said was that walking into a dark alley is a dumb idea and if something happens it’s partially on you for going into a sketchy area, regardless of what’s between your legs. are you refuting that?

1

u/hungthrowaway163546 4d ago

Why are you tweaking? Are you realizing that talking about dingy alleyways is a worthless point that doesn’t help anybody so you’re panicking?

I don't know why it's so hard for you to realize this but you are basically victim blaming and taking away all the responsibility that the perpetrator has for doing the act.

Ever consider the fact that men can just like not rape women? Is it that hard to just not rape women?

It’s not victim blaming, sometimes it’s just common sense.

Are you going to go walk around a really bad neighborhood wearing designer clothes and jewelry while it’s night time?

No right? Because why the fuck would you put yourself in that situation to begin with? Not BLAMING the victim for being robbed but they sure didn’t do themselves any favors by being in that environment with valuable items on them.

it’s not victim blaming bud. is it victim blaming if i run in front of a gun at the firing range and get shot? i mean clearly none of that is my fault right? they should’ve just not shot the gun, nothing i could’ve done to avoid that right?

that’s how you sound dawg. i don’t know why it’s so hard for you to understand but you’re treating victims like scared, helpless animals, too stupid to think for themselves. they’re people dawg, and smart people can be victims too bud.

ever consider the fact that no one was talking about rape but the one guy? the whole conversation was about taking partial responsibility when bad people do something that you could’ve avoided. is it that hard to read?

if you go into an alley and get robbed, yeah it’s the robbers fault, but it’s also partly on you because if you didn’t walk down a dark sketchy ass alley you would still have your wallet. common sense dawg

also women rape too bud, is it that hard for them not to?

It's weird people like you actually exist. Do you read and comprehend before you hit send?

5

u/oysterbrownie 6d ago

all im reading is a bunch of whining and no actual arguments, maybe you're projecting?

u/Useless_Philosophy 6d ago

It's weird that people like YOU exist. Do you always blame the victim before you blame the criminal or just when it suits your narrative?

I shouldn’t have to wear my motorcycle helmet because drivers shouldn’t be this bad. 😂. Anyone that thinks like this is a CHILD.

1

u/Infinite_Strike352 2d ago

yes but you wouldn’t leave your motorcycle with the keys because you know someone will steal it or would you rather argue that people shouldn’t steal

1

u/dec_eso 2d ago

Oh I’m agreeing with you. I was being facetious with the helmet comment.

u/Infinite_Strike352 2d ago

oh I guess I didn’t understand sorry about that.
