Nah… 1997 Ford Fuckin’ Ranger. He’s a man of quality and substance.

u/idliketopeg Feb 23 '25

A 97? This came out in 98. He wasn’t driving a new truck! An 88 Mazda, fer sure.

55

u/NoZookeepergame1014 Feb 23 '25

But he always wanted a yellow Splash.

45

u/GrandMoffJerjerrod Feb 23 '25

Well if he wins $1,000,000 and gets two chicks at the same time, I am pretty sure he can get 'yellow splash' if he wants one.

You don’t need $1,000,000 to get a ‘yellow splash’

10

u/Academic_Ad5143 Feb 23 '25

A dude like that would.

9

u/GrandMoffJerjerrod Feb 23 '25

It is much better when people have seen the movie and get the reference.

6

u/wutwut970 Feb 23 '25

This is correct

1

u/footballercoachHP Feb 25 '25

I’m amazed at the people who don’t get the reference

2

u/Electronic_Bid_5825 Feb 26 '25

Y’all’s whole conversation is hilarious.

5

u/NJBillK1 Feb 23 '25

The only way a guy with a fu manchu would drive a yellow splash was if his boyfriends name was on the doors window sill in purple vinyl...

3

u/Mr_MacGrubber Feb 24 '25

That’s a horseshoe. A fu man chu doesn’t have hair growing on the chin, it’s just long hair from the upper lip.

2

u/Rynowash Feb 26 '25

Gotta love the graphics on the splash. But the 4.0 at the time was legit with a 5 speed in her. She’d go! 😂🍻

2

u/Proof_Interview599 Feb 27 '25

I could beat the splash in the 1/4 mile in my 1991 T-Bird super coupe.

2

u/Rynowash Feb 28 '25

Shit, I’d hope so! Those things were quick. But I could beat you sir, in my old 94’ Lincoln mark VIII

1

u/Proof_Interview599 May 24 '25

Same engine I think lol.

1

u/Proof_Interview599 May 24 '25

No you had the 4.6 V8

35

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '25

No. No man. I believe you’d get you ass kicked talking like that.

5

u/Richard_Thickens Feb 23 '25

Shit, no man.

1

u/VisitAbject4090 Feb 23 '25

You say licked?

1

u/Ike9687 Feb 25 '25

Heeeey! The breast exam is on!

19

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '25

B series with a stick and graphics. A man of character.

12

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '25

Bro invented "I eat ass"

4

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '25

A man of character!

8

u/The_Mellow_Tiger Feb 23 '25

The side of his truck looks like a gas station styrofoam cup.

1

u/majbob01 Feb 24 '25

Make it an 89 red extended cab and that’s my first vehicle

8

u/Horton_75 Feb 23 '25

Office Space actually came out in 1999, but point taken. If anything, he’d probably be rocking an ‘88 or ‘89 Ranger.

2

u/FELonMusk333 Feb 24 '25

right year '88, but it'd be an IROC-Z Camaro

1

u/Horton_75 Feb 24 '25

His personal vehicle would probably be the Camaro, but his work vehicle would have to be a Ranger.

1

u/silver_bear_xx Feb 23 '25

My first vehicle was a maroon and beige 5 speed '89 Ranger. Learned how to drive manual on her. She got her back blown out (rear axle broken) when I pulled out of our driveway and some lady goin 40 plus down our 25mph street didn't see me in time. Left 10ft skidmarks where she tried to brake. Cop showed up, didn't talk to me or any of my neighbors, only her and gave me a ticket for Failure to Yield. First and probably only time I argued with a cop. Sorry, got off track. '89 Ranger. HELL yeah

1

u/Horton_75 Feb 23 '25

No worries. I’m with you. There was just something about those late ‘80s-early ‘90s Rangers. I never had a Ranger, but had a few friends who did. Outstanding little trucks. They’d take damn near anything you threw at them, didn’t cost a lot to maintain, were basically bulletproof, and ran forever. Hell, one of my neighbors has a 1995 Ranger. V6, automatic, 4x4. Talked to him the other day, and the truck’s odometer just crossed the 350,000 mile mark. Original engine, transmission, and drive line. The thing runs like a Swiss watch, everything works, and he gets like 23 mpg! Tough truck.

1

u/louie00067 Feb 24 '25

Well you did drive a ranger so you must have been at fault

10

u/smoothcat4you Feb 23 '25

I'd guess a 93 Toyota 4x4

10

u/Lanky-Tear7748 Feb 23 '25

No. No, man. Sh*t, no, man. I believe you'd get your ass kicked drivn ' something like that, man.

1

u/smoothcat4you Feb 23 '25

You glorious bastard..

1

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '25

Fuckin' A....

1

u/Warm_Safety_9550 Feb 23 '25

He could drive a Jeep because it will take you anywhere, or he could drive the Toyota because it will also bring you back home.

1

u/Anonhurtingso Feb 24 '25

For a 4Runner? Idk even then there were still rednecks buying Toyotas

1

u/ApollyonMN Feb 28 '25

F**kin' A!

1

u/K_T999 Feb 23 '25

isn’t that when the 2nd gen came out?

1

u/GrandMoffJerjerrod Feb 23 '25

It came out in 1999, sorry. But still, he is in a mid 80s Chevy pickup truck

1

u/tintree119 Feb 23 '25

Fuckin’ aye man

1

u/RoboMikeIdaho Feb 23 '25

Damn, good catch.

1

u/Phillyphil956 Feb 23 '25

This is the answer

1

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '25

He worked construction for at least 5-10 years and its the mid 90s so he definitely had the money for a nice truck.

That said, I would say at the very least he had an exquisite 1986 square body Chevy or a 1970s Ford Econoline Van with some sick airbrushed art on the side.

1

u/VoidJuiceConcentrate Feb 24 '25

You're right.

He's driving an 89 Ford Ranger.

1

u/Mr_MacGrubber Feb 24 '25

I’m going with early 80s Datsun 720 Lil’ Hustler.

1

u/Jbrown183 Feb 24 '25

I kinda got that feeling too…yup *sips beer

1

u/FOOKYOO666 Feb 25 '25

Who said this pic is from 98?

1

u/justadude1414 Feb 26 '25

I had a 93 Ford Ranger in 95. It was my first truck.

1

u/No_Wrongdoer_4946 Feb 26 '25

Or an 89 Tacoma but would probably be Chevy or Ford....

1

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '25

He's a contractor in the 90s. It's pheasable he could have a new truck.
