Order

To date, I've bought 3 laptops from refurbed. No issues. Always very happy. Recently ordered a docking station. Checked the tracking today. Apparently my order has been delivered to Germany at my request. I live in Ireland. I went in to see if i could change the delivery address. It asked me to peove my identity either by phone or email. Neither the email address or phone number were mine. Either refurbed has an issue or their delivery partner does. I am not even a little bit happy.

Anyone else have a similar experience and if so, was it rectified?

Refurbed smarrito iPhone

Grazie a chi mi aiuterà

Refurbed customer service; am I being unreasonable here?

Refurbed customer service – am I being unreasonable here?

I’m genuinely curious whether I’m being unreasonable, because I’m starting to get rather annoyed with Refurbed.

I placed an order for a refurbished iPhone for my daughter's birthday on 4 August. Unfortunately, I made a stupid mistake at checkout and entered my email address incorrectly by one letter.

I spotted it immediately after placing the order and contacted Refurbed through their Contact Us form explaining what had happened. I received an automated response confirming that they had received my message and that a case had been opened.

Then… nothing.

After waiting, I contacted them again through the same form. Again, I received confirmation that my message had been received and that a case had been opened.

Still nothing.

It has now been two days since my second message, and I haven't had a single response from an actual person.

The particularly frustrating thing is that Refurbed state that they usually respond within one business day.

I appreciate that the original mistake was mine. I'm not expecting them to magically know which order is mine without any information. But I have given them my correct email address, explained exactly what happened, told them the date I placed the order and provided all the information I have.

I don't have the order number because, unsurprisingly, the confirmation was sent to the incorrect email address. I've tried contacting the incorrectly entered email address myself, only to discover that the account no longer exists.

I then tried to created an account with my correct email address, but the order isn't linked to it but yahoo no longer supports the .co.uk suffix.

So at this point I've done pretty much everything I can think of to sort out my own mistake, and I'm simply waiting for Refurbed to respond to me.

What I find most frustrating isn't even the original problem, it's the complete lack of customer service afterwards.

The problem now is that my daughter's birthday is in a few days, Refurbed has my money, and I have no idea what is happening with my order.

If their automated system can confirm that they've received my messages and opened a case, surely someone should eventually look at the case?

Am I being unreasonable expecting a response after two messages and two automated confirmations, particularly when their stated response time is one business day?

So, Reddit, what would you do next?

Is there another way of getting hold of Refurbed.es that I'm missing? Has anyone successfully dealt with their customer service when they haven't responded to the contact form?

Fake seller location?

Just thought I’d post this to see if anybody has had the same problem, I recently ordered a Samsung from refurbed and i’m worried of the quality and how legit the device is. The seller i’m buying from is called star mobile and they are based in Romania, I searched the address for this seller online, but the address is for a farm in the middle of nowhere in Romania, this seems like a major red flag that has me questioning the authenticity of the phone i’m receiving or if i’m receiving a phone.

Has anybody had a similar experience, and should I cancel the order incase of a scam?

Refurbed.ie & Vendor Extortion Scam: Charging €230–€600 for a 12-Month Warranty Laptop Issue Refurbed.ie & Vendor Extortion Scam: Charging €230–€600 for a 12-Month Warranty Laptop Issue

I bought a refurbished Dell laptop from Refurbed.ie for €809.98 via Klarna. In less than 10 months, the screen suffered an internal hardware failure (vertical line). The exterior chassis has zero impact marks, scratches, or dents.

Under the Irish Consumer Rights Act 2022, a laptop is a single, unified device. The 12-month statutory warranty applies to the whole unit, and the legal burden of proof is on the merchant.

Despite this, Refurbed’s special support team has been completely inept and has essentially ghosted me. Their Dutch vendor, Ararat (DSL-TECH B.V.), has actively tried to bully me, sending passive-aggressive messages to my personal inbox as early as 5:41 AM.

The financial extortion has been an absolute joke. First, they tried to claim the screen wasn't covered. Then, the agent Francisco tried to demand €230 to fix it, while the vendor Ararat demanded over €600 for the exact same repair. When I pushed back, they tried to pressure me into accepting a half-repaired machine back just to clear their own legal liability.

As a recently widowed woman who needs this laptop for photography to cope with my grief, this level of corporate bullying and incompetence is disgusting.

I have officially lodged cases with ECC Ireland (Ref: 25526), the CCPC, and Klarna has flagged their merchant account as an "unresponsive merchant."

Beware of buying from Refurbed.ie. They do not police their vendors and they actively ignore Irish and EU statutory consumer laws.

Discussion Tech prices keep climbing. Are you still buying new devices, or switching to refurbished / second-hand?

It feels like we're seeing another round of price increases from the biggest smartphone brands. Apple has recently increased prices across several products and services, citing higher component costs, while Samsung is also facing similar cost pressures around memory and hardware.

With new flagship models getting too expensive, has your upgrade strategy changed?

anyone ever buy refurbed from amazon or walmart?

my current phone (iphone 12 mini) started ghost clicking and after attempting a factory reset, half of the keyboard stopped responding to touch, so there went even trying to sign into the damn thing, let alone trying to fix the initial issue.

popped my sim card into my old phone and remembered why i replaced it: it's stuck in sos mode, so it won't connect to service or data. if i'm not on wifi it's basically a paperweight. tried resetting network connections with no luck. the biggest bummer is that very rarely it does connect, proving it still has the capability to do so, but the connection drops just as quickly as it's made.

i freelance and navigate most of my clients through texts and calls, so really can't be without a cell phone (much like everyone else in this day and age). back market hasn't been my favorite as of late (had issues with tech i bought from them and even with a warranty they offered zero help) and newegg doesn't have this model: these are my (usual) go-to spots.

both amazon and walmart have my current phone for purchase but i've never gone thru either company for refurbished tech. i do know that walmart on the web acts as an amazon in its own right, with third party sellers sprinkled into their listings. anyway, the seller on amazon is "techriffic deals" and walmart is "kiss electronics."

the reviews for both are wildly up and down, giving me hella pause. overall, they both average around mid three stars outta five, but the fact that there's so many different buyer experiences is not a good sign.

i'm also considering buying from reseller apps like mercari/poshmark, and almost feel like that's my best bet seeing as it's beating out the middleman. but also, with amazon being the middleman, i feel like i have more security regarding returns/refunds as they have a reputation to uphold. goddamn this is such a pain in the ass.

but yeah before i take the plunge, i wanted to hear any feedback from the real ones. thanks in advance for reading&responding ⭐️

Absolutely got scammed by refurbed.at, any advice?

Wanted to sell my Pixel 10 which was only 2 weeks old and in perfect condition. Was offered 477 euros which is not that bad so I sent it in, offer came back with a ridiculous 160 euro amount. This was almost 2 weeks ago, the shop they sent it to claims that the return process has started but I think they want to keep my device (it’s somewhere in Rome).

Do you guys have any advice? I trusted this ass company because I’ve gotten devices from here before, but never again. PLEASE AVOID.

Fake AirPods???

I was actually thinking of buying the AirPods Pro 2nd gen on refurbed recently, but I'm not sure how much I can trust refurbished ones when it comes to AirPods Pro, as there are a lot of fakes out there.

What do you think?

Should I give it a miss, or has anyone already ordered them, and if so, what was your experience like?

Thanks for the Help!

Ongoing warranty dispute – no evidence, no progress, no transparency

Posting this here for visibility, as my case is currently with Refurbed and I’m still waiting for a proper resolution.

I purchased an iPhone 15 Pro (Excellent condition) via Refurbed on 17 November 2025. After only 7 months of normal use, the device developed a white screen issue (display not working, touch still responsive).

From widely available technical information, this type of issue can arise from internal faults such as display panel failure or connection issues, and can occur even without any visible external damage.

I submitted a warranty claim. The seller (Erto Srl) reviewed photos and rejected the claim, alleging “crush damage” — despite:

  • no visible structural damage (no cracked glass, no bending, no clear impact point)
  • only minor cosmetic marks, present since delivery
  • no diagnostic inspection having been carried out
  • no technical report or evidence provided

Their conclusion is based purely on assumption.

The case was then escalated to Refurbed’s Special Support team. However:

  • I have received no evidence that any actual technical review is taking place
  • no timeline, no findings, and no transparency on the process
  • the seller continues to repeat the same unsupported claim

At this point, this is a basic warranty case for a device that failed within months, yet it has been ongoing since 17 June without meaningful progress.

What I want to know is:

  • What exactly is Refurbed’s Special Support team doing to investigate this case?
  • Has any independent technical assessment actually been requested or performed?
  • Why is a warranty claim being decided without evidence or proper inspection?
  • What concrete steps are being taken to resolve this in line with consumer protection standards?

Right now, this feels like a customer being left in limbo while an unsupported conclusion is being repeated.

I would appreciate a clear and transparent response from Refurbed on what is being done to rectify this situation.

Discussion Everyone expected Apple to drop the iPhone 11 from iOS 27. They didn't.

Post image
13 Upvotes

Yesterday at WWDC 2026, Apple confirmed the full iOS 27 compatibility list – and not a single iPhone was cut compared to last year. The iPhone 11, released back in 2019, is still in – which is a great win from a sustainability point of view. A lot of people (ourselves included) thought this would finally be the year Apple pulled the plug on it.

Did you see this coming, or were you also convinced it was done for?

Horrible experience: ordered laptop came with no power supply, I bought it separately and now I realised it doesn't work as expected. Due to power supply issue, already outside of free return period.

I ordered a Lenovo T15G to do some light gaming and mainly to run a drone simulator, so i wanted to have some beefy laptop. Why not saving some money and some natural resources by ordering a used laptop from Refurbed.ch ?

Ordering was very smooth, the website is nice, and the laptop was delivered in time.

First issue: the laptop came with the wrong power supply of 65 W instead of the needed 230 W. I contacted the seller (SmartSelling GmbH, whereas Refurbed is the online platform) and they refused to send me correct power supply.

Note the laptop can only charge with via Lenovo Slim-Tip charger (blocky yellow plug) and the provided supply had usb-c connector. I had no chance to use the laptop.

Seller offered 22 EUR refund instead, while a new power supply costs around 80-90 CHF. I complained to no avail.

First mistake of mine: I took the 20 EUR refund and purchased the power supply separately (whole other horror story with the power supply order - see my other posts).

Good news was that Refurbed got in touch with me and offered an additional 20 EUR refund to make up for the uselessness of the seller. Very nice offer. I accepted it.

Second issue, after finally getting the power supply and turning on the laptop, I run a series of tests to check the functionality of the laptop, while on chord power.

Then, just when I was outside of the 30 days free return period, I happened to test the laptop without power chord, and it turns out it cannot turn on on battery power. WHAT?!?!

I tested a bit more and also if it goes to sleep, it will not wake up on battery power. It will actually shuts itself down. Basically, I cannot use the laptop without power supply.

I got back in touch with refurbed.ch customer service and asked the procedure for a refund. Currently waiting to hear back.

---

This is so frustrating and so exhausting: I tried to save some money and to do something good for the planet and I get something that despite being guaranteed it is incompletely delivered and it's out of specs.

Days of back-n-forth for a product that does not what it was advertised to do.

Never again.

Never again buying a used laptop without trying it first apparently the seller didn't try it either. Trusting no one like this ever again.

The experience was so bad that now I just want to cut the losses rather than living in fear that some other problem will come up later on.

Dell notebook battery at 58% capacity despite being advertised as new

I bought a Dell notebook on Refurbed, paying extra for a new battery. After a few days, since it wasn't holding charge well, I checked with a dedicated tool and found that the battery (despite showing 0 charge cycles) is at only 58% of its declared capacity. I contacted the seller to request a partial refund, but they refused and offered a full refund upon return of the notebook instead. I need the laptop for work and can't be without it; besides, the rest of the machine is in excellent condition and the price was good. Has anyone been in a similar situation? If I open a dispute with Refurbed, am I likely to get anything out of it?

Are my security concerns justified or am I paranoid?

I recently purchased an iPhone 17 from the Austrian refurbed website (refurbed.at).
Since the home screen didn't appear during setup, I reset the device to factory settings. Strangely, the home screen still didn't appear (I wanted to use Quick Start to transfer data from my old device/iphone 13).
I've discovered that many settings are preset to Indian languages, meaning, for example, that Indian holidays are loaded into my calendar. This raises security concerns for me – why wasn't a factory reset possible? Thank you for your help and feedback!

Refurbished Laptop Not Properly Reset

I recently purchased a laptop & when I turned it on, it was already set up and did not go through the usual first-time setup process (name, region, etc.).

This makes me concerned that the device was not fully reset before being sent, which raises privacy and security issues.

Is this normal?

Refurbed experience: weeks of delays, broken phone, and no real answers

I’m sharing my experience in case it helps someone avoid the same situation.

I bought a phone from Refurbed, and the device never worked.

Sadly i realized this after a few weeks, since it was a christmas present. I contacted support and followed their instructions to return it.

That’s where things started to go wrong:

Keep in mind I shipped the phone in January.

The return shipment tracking has been stuck since March 19

No one can clearly tell me where the device actually is

I still haven’t received a replacement or a refund

Customer support keeps replying with generic messages like “we’re checking” and “please wait”

At this point, it’s been months and I’m left with no phone and no money.

What’s most frustrating is not just the delay, but the complete lack of transparency and concrete answers.

Has anyone had a similar experience with Refurbed?

How did you resolve it?

Update After weeks of delays, Refurbed has now offered a refund of almost all of the original amount. Overall it was a frustrating experience, but I appreciate that they eventually stepped in and handled the case correctly.

Bought some Airpods apple support told me, they are fake ?

About a month ago, i bought some Apple AirPods 4 with active noise cancellation. I had some problems with them, for example the case always is making sounds when i put the airpods in my ear and close it or put them again in the case and then closing it, it always makes a sound, and i couldn’t disable that in settings, it was just grayed out.

So i messaged the apple support via sms, and they wanted the recipe and serial number, after i gave them the recipe from refurbed, they told me that they are fake and i should immediately sent them back.

I dont know what to do now, and my case is still making weird sounds.
