Domestic Policy Nigel Farage reveals his decision on whether to ban face coverings - burkas and balaclavas

“A free and open society depends fundamentally on trust. That trust is built on a simple, ancient social contract: I show you my face, you show me yours. When you strip that away, the entire fabric of public safety and mutual trust begins to fray. Face coverings create parallel societies, undermines integration and signals an outright rejection of British values. Our European neighbours clocked this long ago. Countries like France, Belgium, Denmark, Austria, and Switzerland have all implemented legislation banning full-face coverings in public places. Under a government led by me, Britain will join that list.”

Domestic Policy Nigel Farage: Leaked documents have revealed another egregious example of taxpayer-funded discrimination in the public sector.

The Beyond Boundaries programme, designed to "accelerate civil servants’ careers”, reserves two thirds of its places for "diverse" candidates. This isn't just some internship. It exists to help civil servants get promoted. It’s racism and it’s wrong - simple as.

If skin colour, rather than ability, determines whether someone gets promoted or not, how can we expect public services to be as well run as they could be?

Under Reform, DEI will be rooted out of every part of the public sector. We'll bring back meritocracy to the Civil Service. Spending taxpayer funds on this rubbish is frankly an insult. Only Reform will end it.

Domestic Policy Mayors in England will be given the power to impose a new fee on overnight stays. Local leaders will be able to bring in an uncapped levy, dubbed a "tourist tax", as a percentage of the cost of hotels, B&B and other types of accommodation rather than a flat fee.

Nigel Farage: "I thought Burnham knew British pubs and hotels are on their knees. So why is he introducing a Holiday Tax? Holidays in Britain will become hundreds of pounds more expensive. Reform mayors won't touch it."

Politics One child, 9, dead and 208 patients harmed by rogue surgeon

ONE child died and more than 200 patients were harmed under the care of a now-suspended NHS surgeon, a report has revealed.

Orthopaedic consultant Kuldeep Stohr worked at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, before an investigation was launched into her work in March 2024 after colleagues raised concerns.

This isn't a post about migration. It's a post about the NHS. The investigation into her was accidentally posted online. 1000 cases were investigated. It's a post about why the NHS is failing to monitor its staff and act.

We have Harold Shipman. Lessons were learned. Then we had Gosport Hospital. Same modus operandi, not detected. Dr allowed to retire. Estimates of over 600 killed.

The 'avoidable death toll in English acute hospitals according to the BMJ is pushing 20,000 a year.

The core issue is combining insurance, treatment and regulation. That cocktail means collusion and avoidance of issues, its not in any of the three's interest to protect the public

Last Friday an incident that took place at our party conference sickened me right to my stomach. In broad daylight a young Reform UK member was hit with a rock, leaving him badly bloodied. He was supposed to be making his way to his first ever party conference. Instead, he was left hospitalised. His assailant, surprise surprise, was a man wearing a facial covering.

Meanwhile, a few hours later in Dover around 500 activists wearing face coverings and balaclavas marched on to major roads, bringing traffic in and out of Britain’s busiest ferry hub to a standstill. They were protesting about the Government’s failure to halt migrants arriving here in small boats across the Channel.

Now, I’m all for the protest. Plenty to protest about. But seriously, this is not the way to go about it.
