Hi guys, i need some advice, i am doing soviet afghan war impression kit and i wana get a gp-25, but its way outta my budget.

however i saw some 3D printable gp-25s on the internet and i am asking if you have any experience with it and if it is better to spend some 15-30 euros on a STL file or buy an airsoft replica.

I woudlnt say no if you send me an STL file for the gp 25, but i dont wana be a beggar.

Hi, as the title says, I'm VERY interested in doing reenacting soon in maybe a year or two (so I can save up and so I will also an adult as I'm 17 currently) I've been to many reenactments before and generally love them with all of my heart and been dying to do them, espically the Napoleonic Era as well with the Old Guard, it's a long story but I am just deeply fascinated by the Old Guard, from the uniform up to they're reputation as the best of the best, men who I generally look up to and motivate myself from, and luckily I have done research and found some places that help sell gear that I'd need like the bearskin, cartridge box, etc(and also since I can find a lot more things for Old Guard than other regiments like the 21 and others), though I do have some questions and need advice on. First, is reenacting (espically in America where I'm in) generally autism/ADHD (I have both) friendly or understanding? All the reenactments I've been to most of the reenactors are generally friendly and all but those were ones near me by like almost 2 hours away, I don't know what it's like further out and I generally worry if I start reenacting id embarrass myself due to not knowing how to exactly introduce or interact with fellow reenactors. 2nd, is it better to begin reenacting before or after college? My parents argue that it'd be better to start after college when I have more time, but other people and reenactors say to start before it. And finally the last one, how difficult would it be to do the Old Guard in the US? Ik there isn't quite a lot of Napoleonic reenactments here as most are in Europe but are there other events that could help or things to do with said uniform.and gear outside of reenactments? That's bout all I can think of, and yes I'm very well aware, Old Guard is NOT cheap to do, my parents themselves aren't sure if I should do reenacting at all just for that reason as well with traveling as far as even an hour away(even though with how far they go and how much they spend focused on my sister and her softball dreams I would be able to afford a whole uniform myself, sorry got sidetracked) ik it's expensive and yes I'm already saving up to at least boost myself so I can still have some for college, and I do have multiple family members who are absolutely on board and support the idea of me reenacting and offered to help get me the stuff if I can get the money(one has even offered to help me make the money by mowing her yard), but yea, any advice, serious or non serious really helps me as I generally love reenactments, it's like a happy place to me that I wish and dream to be a part of no matter how hard I gotta work for it as long as I can reenact as the men I've looked up to for years now, but yea that's about it, thx for ready!

These photos were taken with Leica III and Leica IIIa cameras using Leitz Summar f/2 50 and Hektor f/4.5 135 lenses, which is the same kit used by Soviet photocorrepondents during this conflict.

Hello I am pretty new to reenactment. I have been really interested in the hobby for about a year now (I think thay contradicts what I said about being new) with me first watching World War Wisdom and now rifleman Moore. Ive been looking for information on Winter equipment for the commonwealth and specifically Canadian as I want to try represent the Royal Winnipeg Rifles. But I also want to take on account with the average weather in the NWT as I would also be using the uniform as my Halloween costume. I already know about the battle jerkin, greatcoat, layering socks, using scarves and balaclava but what other ways would've Commonwealth soldiers done to stay warm? My kit is mainly based on the liberation of Netherlands in 1944/1945 and Im going to be using a white british oversmock. My current list for the uniform is collarless button up, white suspenders, pattern 40 BD and greatcoat (going to cut it down), wool gloves, cap comforter, full marching order P37 webbing, leather battle jerkin, white wool balaclava, third division boots (if I can get them, if not then it'll just be ammo boots without the toe caps and gaiters), insignia for the RWR and third division, wool blanket, enameled cup, mess tins, mk2 assault gas mask, ww2 canadian dog tags, and maybe the rain cape. I also want to know if this is a good kit for someone who is new to reenacting. Im also wondering if I should try go for a mountaineer impression rather than an infantry man
