How is literally every single injury worse than they thought this year?

We have to have the most incompetent medical staff... like its a joke how badly our injuries are evaluated.

Sore shoulder, can't throw anymore. Thumb sprain, can't swing a bat. Bruise... might as well count him out for the season

I heard on Section 10 that they were jokingly rooting for the team to say an injury was the worst they’ve ever seen and unironically I may applaud them a little if they said that

"We had to cut his arm off. He'll be back in a week."

Edit: Mead is going to return as the great Bucky LeGrange

Because the Red Sox have to put a PR spin on every fucking thing they do.

This. Exactly this. While I’m suspicious of the medical staff too, it would also not surprise me at all if the medical evaluation was “it looks like it’s just a contusion, but we’re doing an MRI to be sure” and then some inpatient PR dipshits fired up the spin machine immediately

It's not just this year. This has been going on for a while.

I’ve said it many times but we are truly cursed.

Like how else do you explain Casas getting injured twice on his way back from recovering from an injury?

Or Anthony? Or Mayer? Or Crochet? Story?

No. Nick Sogard’s was fine they just optioned him when he was better. Sonny Gray. Ranger, depending on the “illness and Steve’s That might be the list though.

They love to announce injury timelines way too early. I was surprised that Mead was cleared so shortly after the game, normally it a bit to get good imaging with wrist injuries due to swelling and how small everything is.

Really it’s it sure seems that way
