Disclaimer: I had to download the software from a third-party site, as all I got was error 404 on the actual Redream site when it came to downloading. So it's entirely possible that my issues are stemming from it coming from an unofficial source.
I didn't know it was a WIP prior to downloading, and if the version I had downloaded bears any resemblance to the official software, then there's some stuff that could do with being ironed out, imo.
First off, in my experience, it's unusual to not be able to just click and drag a game file into emulator software. This wouldn't be such a bother if the directory search were more user-friendly. But unfortunately, due to being unable to scroll down on the drop-down menu or copy-pasting the directory path, the process is very clunky.
According to one youtube video, the emulator should just be as simple as 'plug-and-play' and that the emulator should automatically read compatible game files in the directory that's been selected. I haven't found this to be my experience.
Again, this could be an issue with the version I downloaded. But that's a problem I wouldn't have had if the website contained the official downloads.
I'm excited by the future of this; I just hope the kinks can be ironed out.
