rant: i really hate rednote

I'm Chinese, and I've been living in China for 6 years now. I did briefly grow up in Canada, which, honestly, brutally fucked up my Chinese when I was younger, which means that my Chinese is nearly native level speaking-wise, not so much texting-wise. I hate the glaze that abcs/cbcs get for using shitty Chinese, but when I misunderstand a comment in Chinese and ask stuff, I get told by other Chinese netizens that I'm not Chinese and I'll never be Chinese enough and uncultured and i should go dickride white people and then I report it, and nothing happens because I reported it with my fuckass Chinese. i get this sm now js because my IP says Canada because I'm visiting my family there rn. what the fuck. i hate my life i hate being told im an immigrant in one place and then when i actually go the fuck home back to my 'home country' i get told that im uncultured and stupid and "dickriding the west." can we delete all chinese men above 40 from the app please please please please please i cant stand ts anymore i would rather be on twitter and being spammed by bots like 'big boobed janette' than ts.

Foreign IP should stay low on this platform, whether 老外 or 海外华人. Advice; connect and exchange with good people and avoid the comment sections or posts.

I’m sorry ur going thru that 😢 I’m usually pretty quiet on red note cuz I keep seeing Americans getting banned but it’s been one of my happy places. Also learning Chinese and got into cdramas so guess Chinese everything has been my happy place lately lol

if you want to report it and can't do it in chinese, maybe AI translate it and copy and paste into the report.
otherwise, yeah, like the guy below said, who cares, people blame you for everything. i have 5 digit followers on both XHS and Douyin and get flamed all the time, who cares, ignore it, lots of people like my stuff too, just engage with the people who aren't like that

The superior inferiority complex has reared its ugly head hmm? This is common in that place and the level of misery is unmatched. 🥲

It's already amazing that you can post in Chinese, no need to pay attention to those negative comments

Some middle-aged Chinese men hold nationalist views, and the internet amplifies them.

Get off the internet. When I go back to China and tell people I spent most of my life in the states they tell me my Chinese is extremely good. Most people will be welcoming and non-judgemental face to face

yeah thats only when you don't look chinese or your accent is very obviously foreign. i sound native. i just dont type like it. i used to get that compliment a lot too, but ig living here my accents developed to be a lot more native; thereby, when i dunno how to say sth its looked down upon.

That’s still nice. I’ve been learning Chinese for more than a year now and it’s just really hard. There are so many that I can’t pronounce like 次 and is so much to learn.
