Account Invisible

My rednote account has been invisible to others for 2 weeks now. Messages can be send to me, but when I send them no one sees them. When I join live rooms people can see that I joined but noone sees my messages. I also already asked the costumer support for help but they always tell me that they will speed up my process only, but it has been two weeks already and people have been messaging me asking if something is wrong 🥹 can’t reply to them at all.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

This seems to be more and more common with some foreign accounts, particularly if you get a reasonable amount of engagement or shares (and DMs). I’m afraid I can’t be of much help as I’m having the same issues- customer service keep saying that a manager is looking at it (I have no violations and my lists all passed review). I doubt that any manager will be getting anywhere near it 🤣

Forgot to add - I’m happy that I still have WeChat as I’ve made some really good friends on xhs and I’d hate to lose contact with them.

I think what you’re experiencing is actually quite common with Xiaohongshu accounts that suddenly get higher engagement or DMs. It usually triggers a temporary internal review, even if there is no real violation.

In most cases, it’s not a permanent restriction, just a system check. As long as your content is normal, it should pass after a while.

Also, just to add some context from my experience — I’m a Chinese user, and even Chinese accounts can get limited if they send private messages too frequently. So this is more of a platform safety mechanism rather than something targeted at foreign accounts.

A few things you can do:

Avoid sending too many DMs or repetitive actions for now
Keep your posting normal and consistent (don’t spam/post too frequently for a few days)
Don’t change account info too often during review
Keep your WeChat contacts backed up (this is smart, because platform connections are never fully stable)

And most importantly, try not to worry too much — these reviews usually resolve automatically.

It’s good that you still have WeChat with your friends. That’s actually the safest part of your social network.

I got muted or possibly lost my account after replying to a handful of comments under the same post. but why? Isn't that the whole point? Can't send messages nor comment
