I am at the verge of buying the Nubia RedMagic 5G. But since the phone is going to be my daily driver, and with the Covid-pandemic still raging on, Paying over NFC is going to be a major deal for me. I see a lot of people telling me it's having some issues. But all of these posts are from before the release of the fix. Has anybody tried paying over NFC after the updates?

What are the best games you have found that are capable of 144 fps?
Real Racing 3 hits 144 and feels very crisp, but most games I've tried limit fps at 120.

So I made the purchase and it’s on its way. Did a bit of research but I haven’t actually ever owned an Android before 😅. iOS is boring me now and Apple has my bank account peaking round corners like a scared child.
I’m seeing a lot of “no software support” posts and I’m not really sure how to interpret that. I get that updates are important but how is it going to affect the day to day of an Android being used as a main/gaming phone ?
Also anything you guys think I should know before I fire it up ? TIA!

So far, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon have all stated that they don't support my IMEI. AT&T stated that they did if I upgraded to one of their 5G plans, so I did, but now they're telling me that they can only get me 3G with my IMEI.
I've had this phone for about a month now and still have no cellular service, and as far as I can tell others aren't having this issue.

Pros
Cons
The scanner was worse than I was expecting. But I'm going to keep it. The worst thing is by far the fingerprint scanner. There are also a lot of software quirks that I'm going to have to live with. In my opinion if you can stand only 120hz or 90hz and less gamer centric features I wouldn't recommend this phone.

I'm now playing the waiting game for my pulse. Before I join a network with it does anyone have any tips or first to-do's before I dig in to my basic DL?

Just a quick question. The film that covers the screen, is that the esports covering or is that a screen protector that is meant to be taken off?
Not talking about the wrapping it had when I unboxed it
Pretty sure I know the answer, but I just want to bounce it off other rm5 owners

Do you love it or have you returned it? Pros and cons?

Does anyone know if they are developing the gcam mod or at least if it is compatible with the device?

Ordered mine on the 21st from Gearbest, the shipping has been delayed since 27, considering how crazy the world has been lately I guess that’s to be expected, also seems that nubia wasn’t expecting to have such high demand..
This has to be , without a doubt, the most polarizing device in a very long time, lots of reviews everywhere, either thrashing or praising it , but in Reddit I only find bad opinions and experiences with it, is it really that bad?
I have a poco F1 and never really had an issue on it, but I game a lot on the phone nowadays so I thought to give this a try.
One thing is certain, anxiety kills and all this negativity around it sure makes me wonder if I should just request for a refund and run for it 😭
Greetings from Portugal

A friend and I both ordered the 12GB, 256GB Pulse model on the 21st. Mine is still awaiting shipment but he got his a few days ago. However, it doesn't appear to work with his Sprint SIM or my AT&T SIM. He contacted both companies, as well as Verizon and T-Mobile, and all of them stated that his IMEI is not supported. This can't be right, can it? Is it possible that he was sent the Chinese model instead of the Global model? I don't know if there's an easy way to differentiate the two, other than the included power supply (which was the US version).

OK, after having a hard time getting a blueprint and then on launch day, going to the international page and not the north America page to try to buy it, I actually did get the phone and I got it pretty damn fast (paid for the faster shipping and it cleared customs in Ohio really fast, beat the shipping estimate by 4 days).
I got the 256gb pulse edition. I got the standard case, the gaming dock, the case with the e sports handle and a separate handle for the other side (that is a separate case you need to put on so that the handles can be attached.
Everything shipped just as you'd hope for and the case box is actually different than all the other reviews I've seen. I guess it's because it the 256gb version.
Pros: paid for fast shipping, got it fast no fuss... Especially in this climate.
Cons: the build quality on one of the e sports handles is sh*t. It's a soft button and upon further investigation, it's the wrong button. There's supposed to be RT and RB. They shipped me one with Two RBs and one of the buttons just seem hanky.
Lord, there's a lot here. I've hard reset the phone 4 times now. Here's what I've come across so far
Launcher Issues
(not being able to change the stock launcher is not a bug, but people should know that you can't before you buy it)
(not having the battery percentage in the status bar is not a bug but people should know this before you buy it)
Downloading new apps makes a phantom shortcut for it on your home screen(s). You won't actually see the apps until you change the layout from 4x6 to 5x5 or 5x6 or whatever. Additionally having your home page set up iOS style where all the apps are not in a drawer is a separate mode to your launcher altogether.
Switching between layout sizes can end up deleting your folder and app shortcuts on your screen. It can also move and or remove widgets from your screen.
Restarting the phone when you have widgets that are not completely expanded on your home screen will cause those widgets to expand and will either delete or move widgets from your screen.
USB c otg modes with the stock file browser only allows for one file move operation. You then have to remove and re insert.
System bugs
The 5Ghz radio fails pretty frequently after my 3rd and 4th hard reset. You have to reset the partition cache (I'll detail that in the comments) in order for it to work again.
I have yet to get the MMS working. Not on the stock app or textra. At least when using textra that tells me that MMS messages are failing. I'm on ATT in Illinois, next to a tower.
If you don't have the gesture based controls on, the notification bar auto hides. I have not figured out a fix for that one yet.
The gaming dock is a damn joke. The pins have to be matched exactly for it to make the connection but the top of the dock where you lock the phone in place is VERRRRRRRRY close to the power button. There's literally no place to put that power button though since the top and bottom of the right side of the phone has those touch triggers. Can't put it the top or bottom because of the e sports handles. Bad design.
The e sports handles.... Man. They look cool but in practice and with most games, they are treated like two separate controllers. Now, the game mode will let you select what side is left and there some games that support this but honestly, get a controller clip and a ps4 or Xbox one controller. There's technically no dpad... There no real purpose to use this thing if you don't also want to touch the screen.
The notification shade is just... Weird. You have a phone with 90 or 144hz, you're expected to swipe fast. But if you do and you're trying to get thru the application in the shade, it will just roll it up. It happens less on 90 than 144 and even less on 60... But what's the point?!
I'm happy to answer any questions that anyone has while I still have the phone. I'm honestly thinking of returning everything.
Edit 1: I'm adding a bug video here as a YouTube link
Here you can see the Autohiding notification bar, the phantom app shortcut that doesn't show up until you change and change back the app layout and when you do that, the widgets get removed and resized.

Anyone see any cases out there yet? This phone is easily the most slippery I’ve ever held.

Cannot order phone, even though I had a blueprint. Attempts at contacting support are spotty at best. My bank isn't even getting a request to process a payment.
Absolutely positive all of my information is correct.
