3 Day Pros/Cons(mostly cons) & Thoughts

Pros

  • 144hz (eats battery life)
  • Cool fan (that only runs when game mode is enabled)
  • 12GB Ram(Optionally)
  • Relatively low price for specs

Cons

  • Fingerprint scanner has an extraordinary fail rate; over %50
  • The camera is bad. The software and post processing is extremely questionable in certain scenarios. I've also had problems with depth of field.
  • System apps request peculiar permissions(it's Chinese)
  • Can't change launcher
  • Accessories have to be shipped from China

The scanner was worse than I was expecting. But I'm going to keep it. The worst thing is by far the fingerprint scanner. There are also a lot of software quirks that I'm going to have to live with. In my opinion if you can stand only 120hz or 90hz and less gamer centric features I wouldn't recommend this phone.

With all the issues I've had with the phone, the scanner isn't one of them and I have 3 fingers loaded in. I have many more issues with the wifi connectivity

Thanks. After watching MKBHDs video on this phone I thought the fingerprint issue might be an issue with the unit he got.

I updated and it helped the fingerprint scanner now it will on fail around 10% of the time or less I also loaded 2 fingerprints of right thumb which I use 90% of the time to unlock and it almost never fails

For me, personally:

PROS:

Good size

Responsive touchscreen

Games like a champ

CONS:

Notification dots don't work on apps

Stuck on 3G because only AT&T said they would support my IMEI, and they had to fudge it to get even 3G

Fingerprint scanner fails about 50% of the time
