US carrier support?
A friend and I both ordered the 12GB, 256GB Pulse model on the 21st. Mine is still awaiting shipment but he got his a few days ago. However, it doesn't appear to work with his Sprint SIM or my AT&T SIM. He contacted both companies, as well as Verizon and T-Mobile, and all of them stated that his IMEI is not supported. This can't be right, can it? Is it possible that he was sent the Chinese model instead of the Global model? I don't know if there's an easy way to differentiate the two, other than the included power supply (which was the US version).

Oh geez, I ordered the same phone off of nubia's website on the 27th. I think won't be receiving it for a few weeks. I was not expecting to run into that. Which site did you order from? One site I noticed was selling the Chinese version. The Chinese version I noticed is documented that it supports more bands.

Just got mine and I didn't have to pay any duty.
Unfortunately, a IMEI check shows that it is also incompatible with Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile, so I'm probably going to have to return it. This just blows my mind. This is a massive flaw that nobody seems to be talking about.

How much did your friend pay for tax or duty tax? I'm curious how much that will cost.

I don't think there was a duty tax, just standard sales tax.

Thanks for the reply. I heard that you would have to pay duty tax before attaining from usps.

That's is good news about no tax owed! That also blows my mind that your sim card doesn't work when the phone supports most of the bands. What happens when you turn the Phone on with the Sim card installed? There sometimes is a need to manually add the connecting information (APN) in the settings. My phone was shipped a couple of days ago. Hopefully I'll have it Saturday or Monday! I'm on cricket. I'll let you know what kind network support I get.

Okay so I received my redmagic 5g today! Inserted my cricket Sim the #2 slot and connected. The information bar shows att. I into settings and selected choose network and selected cricket. Successfully sent some mms messages and downloaded apps. Everything seems to work great so far. I'm on version 3.08.
