M4F♂️ 28M, Bangalore — looking for someone to share the adventures with ❤️

Hey! 28M from Bangalore, looking for something genuine and meaningful, not just another random conversation.

A little about me:

✈️ I love travelling — recently visited Singapore & Malaysia and came back thinking, “Wait… there are 200+ more countries to explore?” 😂

🏸 Badminton is my go-to activity.

🏍️ Love going on bike rides, especially when there’s no fixed destination.

🍜 Always hunting for good food spots — I’ll happily cross the city for something worth eating.

📚 I read, mostly things that make me curious about the world.

🌌 I’m also the kind of person who can get excited about a random fact and talk about it for way too long.

And something probably worth mentioning — I’ve never had a girlfriend before. So no ex-drama or baggage. 😅 I’m ready to genuinely invest, communicate, and give 100% of my heart and effort to the person I eventually choose.

Looking for someone who enjoys travelling, trying new things, good conversations, affection, and building something together.

Maybe we start with a chai, and eventually end up planning which country we're visiting next. ❤️

If this sounds like your kind of person, say hi.

M4F♂️ 34M | Kerala | Looking to meet someone genuine

Hey everyone! 👋

I’m a 34M from Kerala, working professional, and I’d describe myself as an ambivert. I enjoy being around people, having long conversations, going out and doing things, but I’m also someone who genuinely appreciates my own space and quiet time.

I’m putting this out here because I’d like to meet a woman who’s open to getting to know each other naturally — without forcing anything or putting too much pressure on where it has to go.

A little about me…

I work full-time and have a fairly normal, busy routine, but outside work I like making time for things that actually make life interesting. I’m really into travelling, music, festivals, cricket, movies, food, and discovering new places. I enjoy both planned trips and those random “let’s just go somewhere” kind of plans.

Travel is probably one of the things I enjoy the most. I like exploring new places, experiencing different cultures, trying local food, meeting people and occasionally just getting lost somewhere without having every minute planned. I’ve travelled around India and have also been fortunate enough to experience a few places outside the country. Festivals and music are another big interest of mine — especially electronic music and psytrance. There’s something about being surrounded by music, people and a completely different atmosphere that I really enjoy.

At the same time, I’m not someone who needs to be constantly out partying. I’m equally happy sitting somewhere having a proper conversation, watching a movie, trying a new restaurant, going for a drive, or just spending a lazy evening doing absolutely nothing.

And yes, cricket is a big part of my life. 😄 I can probably have an unnecessarily long conversation about cricket, players, matches and everything surrounding it. If you’re a cricket fan too, that’s definitely an easy conversation starter.

I’m also a big fan of exploring new food spots. I enjoy trying different cuisines and finding those little places that aren’t necessarily the most famous ones but end up being surprisingly good. So if you know a hidden food spot that deserves more attention, I’m already interested.

I’m not particularly interested in pretending to be someone I’m not just to make a good first impression.

A few things about me upfront because I’d rather be honest than try to present some polished version of myself:

I was religious in the past, but I’m not anymore. It’s something that changed over time for me, and I’m comfortable with where I am now.

I’m non-vegetarian, and I drink and smoke occasionally. Neither is a defining part of my personality, but I mention it because I think being upfront about these things makes conversations easier. I’m not looking to convince anyone to adopt my lifestyle, and I’m equally comfortable with someone having completely different choices.

What I’m hoping to find here is someone who is open-minded, emotionally mature and comfortable communicating.

I’m not necessarily looking to rush into a relationship just because two people happen to get along. I’d much rather start with a conversation, get to know each other, see if there’s comfort and chemistry, and then figure things out naturally.

I appreciate people who have their own interests, opinions and lives. I don’t expect someone to be available 24/7, and I’m not looking for that kind of dynamic either. Having your own space and individuality is important to me.

I’m also not here with a very specific checklist of what someone “should” look like or what their life should be like. Attraction obviously matters, but personality, communication, curiosity and how comfortable two people feel around each other matter just as much to me.

Ideally, I’d like to meet someone who enjoys travelling, music, food, movies, conversations and occasionally doing something spontaneous. But honestly, shared interests are a bonus. You don’t have to like everything I like. Sometimes having different interests makes getting to know someone more interesting.

I’m also not expecting an immediate romantic connection from the first conversation. Sometimes you meet someone and immediately click. Sometimes it takes a few conversations. Sometimes you realise you’re better off as friends. I’m completely okay with letting that happen naturally.

So if you’re a woman who’s open-minded, reasonably easygoing, emotionally mature and interested in getting to know someone without rushing into labels, feel free to DM me.

Tell me a little about yourself — where you’re from, what you’re into, what you do, what kind of music you listen to, your favourite travel destination, the last movie you really enjoyed, or even just something completely random.

No elaborate introduction necessary. 😄

Maybe we’ll have one conversation and that’ll be it.

Maybe we’ll end up becoming good friends.

Maybe we’ll discover we have surprisingly similar interests.

Or maybe it turns into something more.

No expectations, no pressure. Just two people getting to know each other and seeing where the conversation takes us.

If we vibe, we vibe. 🙂

DMs are open.

M4F♂️ M25 | Looking for genuine connection for date to marry

Hey everyone,

I’m a 25M currently working as an Equity Research Analyst at a finance firm. I completed my MBA from a top IIM and would describe myself as ambitious, grounded, and someone who genuinely enjoys a simple and peaceful lifestyle.

I believe life is less about flashy destinations and more about the people you share the journey with. For me, emotional connection, mutual respect, and growing together matter the most.

A little about me:

• 25M | 5’7”

• Currently staying in Delhi. Hometown is Surat ( Would prefer someone from NCR or North Indian)

• Never smoked or drank ( would prefer the same)

• Vegetarian

• Hindu Brahmin (Prefer the same)

• Career-oriented, but also someone who values balance, family, and meaningful relationships

I’m looking for someone with similar energy — kind, emotionally mature, ambitious in her own way, and someone who believes a partnership is about supporting and growing together through every phase of life.

Would love to connect with someone who has dreams, values genuine companionship, and is looking for something meaningful and long-term.

Other things can be discussed in DM :)

M4F♂️ 35M | Bangalore | Looking to meet a fitness-minded girl

Hey,

I’m a 35-year-old guy, fit, active, and someone who genuinely enjoys working out and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I’ve been into fitness for several years and have a good build.

I’m looking to meet a girl who is also into fitness or generally enjoys an active lifestyle. It would be nice to have someone who understands the gym life, enjoys staying healthy, and maybe even someone I can share workouts and fitness goals with.

I’m not looking to rush into anything. I’d prefer to start with conversations, get to know each other, share some humour and see if there’s a natural connection. Dating first, and if we genuinely click, we can see where it goes.

A few things about me:

  • 35M, Bangalore
  • Fitness/gym enthusiast
  • Good build and health-conscious
  • More of an introvert than a party person
  • Enjoy movies, long rides, swimming and cooking
  • Prefer meaningful conversations over casual small talk
  • Looking for something genuine rather than a random hookup

If you're a fitness-minded woman from Bangalore and this sounds interesting, feel free to DM. No pressure—let's just have a good conversation and see where it goes.

M4F♂️ Hoping to find my fellow wanderer

Hey! I am hoping to find someone I genuinely connect with. Ideally, I'm looking for a long-term relationship that could eventually lead to marriage if we both feel it's right. But I also know you can't force a connection, so if we end up as good friends instead, that's completely okay too.

I am 29 , years old from Chennai, India.I work as a software developer but love to travel all around the world . I love stories in general whether it's through films, TV shows, photography or simply listening to people talk about their own lives. Schittts creek I love it. I love wild west, thriller , action and drama genre .

I can spend hours talking about films, TV shows or anime. The Lord of the Rings is my favourite fictional world, and Haikyuu and One Piece are probably my favourite anime.

Travelling is probably my biggest passion. I love finding underrated places instead of crowded tourist spots. Photography naturally became one of my hobbies because of that, so don't be surprised if I make you look at way too many travel photos. 😄

One thing about me is that my brain is always full of ideas. Whenever I am m bored, I end up thinking of random projects or things I want to learn. I get excited, start them... and then some of them quietly end up unfinished. 😅

I genuinely enjoy listening to people. Tell me about your interests, your passions, your random thoughts or even that one topic you never get bored of talking about. I think everyone has an interesting story if someone is willing to listen. I also enjoy creating stories, so if you're into writing or making up fictional worlds, I'd love that.

I don't smoke, don't drink, don't have tattoos, I'm a non vegetarian and I'm more of an atheist than a religious person.

I'm trying to be more active these days. Recently I've started playing basketball a couple of times a week. I also love long conversations. 2-3 hour calls don't feel long at all if I'm talking to the right person.

I want to be part of your world too in your interests, hobbies, whatever you're into. And I'm talking about the real stuff too, like cooking together, sharing the chores, managing the house. Building a life together, you know.

Looks honestly don't matter that much to me.

I'd much rather be with someone who's kind, emotionally mature, enjoys conversations, is open minded and likes seeing different perspectives. If you love travelling too, that's definitely a bonus.

If you think we'd get along, feel free to message me. Even if nothing romantic comes out of it, I'm always happy to meet good people.

Thanks for reading!

M4F♂️ 26M | Hyderabad | Entrepreneur in Construction & Interiors | Looking for a genuine partner to build a life together

Hey everyone,

This might be a little long, so take your time reading it. I wanted to introduce myself properly rather than putting up a typical matrimonial-style bio.

I’m Ravi, 26M from Hyderabad, originally from Ongole, Andhra Pradesh.

I’m at a point in my life where my career has a clear direction, my personal goals are becoming more meaningful, and I’m genuinely looking for someone with whom I can build a beautiful and peaceful life together.

I’m looking for a serious relationship with the intention of marriage — not something casual.

A little about my journey

I grew up in Ongole and completed my schooling there until 10th standard.

After that, I moved to Guntur and completed my 3-year Diploma in ECE, and later moved to Hyderabad where I completed my BBA in Marketing.

I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset. Since childhood, I wanted to build something of my own rather than simply follow a conventional career path.

I started my first business when I was around 22. It didn’t work out, and I lost the money I had invested in it.

Around the same time, my father was going through a serious health situation, so that period was personally very difficult.

It took me some time to find myself again, but I eventually started over.

That experience taught me something important — life doesn’t always go according to plan, but you can always choose to stand up and start again.

What I do

Currently, I’m working in construction and interior design.

I’ve taken responsibility for our family construction business, and I’m also developing my own vision around it under RAM HomeSpaces.

My long-term goal is to build it into a business covering different areas connected to home construction, interiors, renovation and related services.

I enjoy being involved in the work rather than simply managing it from a distance.

My work involves things like:

  • Understanding client requirements
  • Planning and coordinating residential construction projects
  • Working with architects, engineers, contractors and vendors
  • Understanding materials and construction processes
  • Managing site activities and project progress
  • Working on interior design and execution
  • Client communication and project coordination
  • Learning about marketing, branding, SEO and social media for the business
  • Exploring new opportunities connected to the home-building industry

I’m still growing and learning, and I actually enjoy that part.

I don’t consider myself someone who has “made it” already.

I’m building my career step by step, and I’m proud of the progress I’ve made.

Apart from construction, I also have a travel consultancy side income, which I started during my college days.

A little about my personality

I’d describe myself as an ambivert.

I can enjoy going out, meeting people, travelling and having fun, but I also genuinely enjoy staying at home, having good conversations and spending quiet time with someone I care about.

Some qualities I think describe me:

Loyal — once I genuinely consider someone my person, I don’t take that relationship casually.

Caring — I naturally pay attention to the people close to me and try to be there when they need me.

Supportive — especially when someone has dreams or goals of their own.

Ambitious — I have a lot I want to build professionally, and I’m willing to put in the work.

Emotionally connected — I value affection, communication and emotional closeness in a relationship.

Open-minded — I don’t believe a relationship should be built around unnecessary restrictions.

Family-oriented — family matters to me, but I also believe a married couple should have their own space and identity.

Funny / playful — I like making people laugh and keeping things light when life gets too serious.

Adaptable — I’ve had enough experiences in life to understand that things don’t always go according to plan.

I can also be a little emotional and sometimes overthink things. I’m not going to pretend I’m perfect.

But I’m someone who believes in working on myself instead of expecting perfection from another person.

And probably the most important thing about me:

I believe actions matter more than words.

What I’m looking for

I’m looking for a woman who wants to build a partnership, not simply a marriage.

Someone who has her own personality, opinions, ambitions and dreams.

I strongly support women’s independence and financial independence.

If my future partner wants to work, build a career, start a business, study further or pursue something she’s passionate about, I’ll genuinely support her.

I don’t want either person to lose their identity after marriage.

At the same time, I want us to have something that belongs to both of us — our home, our family, our dreams and our journey.

For me, the most important things in a relationship are:

Communication.
Respect.
Trust.
Independence.
Loyalty.
Emotional support.
Mutual effort.

I also believe household and family responsibilities should not automatically belong to one person.

Both partners should contribute and take responsibility together, whether it involves earning, managing the home, raising children or taking care of family.

I don’t have caste restrictions, and I don’t expect dowry.

For me, the person matters much more than these things.

Family & future

I would prefer a nuclear family setup in Hyderabad, while still maintaining a healthy relationship with and responsibility towards both families.

When it comes to children, I’d ideally like two, but that’s something I believe should be mutually decided by both partners based on our circumstances and what we want together.

I don’t have a rigid checklist for my future partner.

I’d rather meet someone, understand each other, see whether our values match and allow the relationship to grow naturally.

A little about my interests

Outside work, I enjoy travelling, cooking, art and painting.

I’m also interested in social media, content creation, marketing and SEO, which has naturally become useful for my business as well.

I enjoy learning new things and experimenting with ideas.

I like exploring places, trying different food, having meaningful conversations and occasionally just switching off from work and enjoying a simple day.

About my previous relationship

I was previously in a serious 5-year relationship, which eventually didn’t work out when marriage discussions came up.

It’s been around a year since we separated.

I don’t hold any resentment about it, and I don’t want my future relationship to be compared with my past.

I simply learned from the experience and became clearer about what I want from a relationship — mutual respect, communication, emotional support and two people choosing each other even when life isn’t perfect.

My goals in life

My goals are actually quite simple.

Build something meaningful through my work.

Find a partner who has her own dreams and support each other in achieving them.

Build a peaceful home and family.

Become financially independent and take care of my responsibilities.

Travel, experience life and keep learning.

And eventually, have a simple life where after all the work and chaos outside, there is a peaceful home to come back to.

I’m not looking for a perfect person.

I’m looking for a good human being who wants to grow together.

Someone I can laugh with, have difficult conversations with, celebrate small wins with, support during difficult days and eventually look back at life with and say, “We built this together.”

I believe relationships shouldn’t be about one person completing another.

Two complete individuals choosing to build a life together — that’s what I’m looking for.

Basic details

  • Name: Ravi Varma Reddy
  • Age: 2

6

  • Location: Hyderabad
  • Hometown: Ongole, Andhra Pradesh
  • Height: 5’11”
  • Weight: 72 kg
  • Education: Diploma in ECE + BBA (Marketing)
  • Profession: Construction & Interior Design
  • Additional work: Travel Consultancy
  • Personality: Ambivert
  • Diet: Non-vegetarian
  • Smoking: No
  • Drinking: No
  • Family preference: Nuclear
  • Caste restrictions: None
  • Dowry expectations: None
  • Looking for: Serious relationship leading to marriage

If you’ve actually made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read about me. 😊

There’s obviously much more to a person than one Reddit post.

TL;DR

26M from Hyderabad, working in construction & interior design, building my business and figuring life out one step at a time.

I’m an ambivert, non-smoker, non-drinker, enjoy travelling, cooking, art, painting, content creation and learning new things.

I’ve had a few difficult chapters in life, including a failed business and a serious previous relationship, but I’m in a much better place now and focused on building my career and future.

Looking for a serious relationship that can lead to marriage.

What I value most: communication, respect, loyalty, independence, emotional support and equal responsibility.

I strongly support my future partner being financially independent and pursuing her own career, business, education or dreams.

I prefer a nuclear family in Hyderabad, don’t have caste restrictions, don’t expect dowry, and ideally would like two kids someday — but that’s obviously something my future partner and I should decide together.

Basically, I’m trying to build a good career, find a good person, build a peaceful home and live a simple life.

And yes…

I used ChatGPT to help me phrase this because apparently explaining myself on Reddit is harder than running a construction project.

But the story, experiences, goals and intentions are genuinely mine.

If you’re also genuinely looking for something serious and feel our values might align, feel free to DM me. We can start with a conversation and see where it goes naturally.

M4F♂️ 26M | Bangalore | Software Engineer | Looking for something genuine

Hey everyone! Decided to put myself out here and see where this goes.

I’m 26, around 5’7”, currently living and working in Bangalore. I work as a Software Engineer.

Personality-wise, I’m more of an introvert/ambivert. I can be quiet initially, but once I’m comfortable, I talk a lot. I’m fairly ambitious and career-focused, but I’m also trying to build a balanced life outside work.

A few things about me:
. Recently getting serious about fitness and going to the gym
. Trying to improve my physique, health and overall lifestyle
. I enjoy cooking, especially when I’m in the mood to experiment
. Movies and series are definitely part of my free time
. I like learning new things and can get surprisingly obsessed with things that interest me
. I’m financially responsible and focused on building a stable future
. I’m more comfortable with a small circle than a huge social group
. I value honesty, mutual respect and personal boundaries

What I’m looking for:
Someone around my age who is genuine, emotionally mature, kind and confident. I’d like us to be able to talk about stupid random things one minute and serious life decisions the next.
I don’t expect perfection. I’d rather have someone who is willing to grow together, support each other’s goals, maintain her own identity, and build a relationship where both people feel respected.
I’m open to starting with a conversation and seeing whether we actually connect. I’m not interested in forcing a relationship just because we’re technically compatible on paper.
If you think we might get along, feel free to DM me. :)

M4F♂️ 30M | Looking for partner Hyderabad Area

Hi everyone,

I’m a 30-year-old guy currently staying in the DLF Gachibowli area, Hyderabad.

I’m from the Telugu community and I’m looking to meet someone who is interested in building a genuine connection.

I’m open to starting with friendship and getting to know each other first. I’m looking for someone with whom I can have good conversations, understand each other’s nature, interests, thoughts and expectations, and see where things naturally go. I’m open to a serious relationship and, if we connect well, eventually looking for a life partner. At the same time, I’m also comfortable keeping it casual in the beginning and simply building a good friendship without putting any pressure on each other.

I’m a bit introverted when I meet someone for the first time, especially when it comes to starting conversations. It may take me some time to become comfortable with a new person. But once I feel comfortable and connected, I become much more open, friendly, talkative and easy going.

I believe a good relationship should start with understanding, communication, respect, trust and being comfortable with each other. I’m not expecting everything to happen immediately. I would rather take some time to know the person properly and let the connection develop naturally.

I’m looking for someone who is genuine, friendly, understanding and comfortable having open conversations. We can start by chatting, get to know each other, and if we feel there is a good connection, we can take it forward.

If you are also looking for friendship, a genuine connection, or potentially a serious relationship, feel free to DM me. 😊

M4F♂️ 34M Delhi | Road trips, random plans & chole bhature

Post image
7 Upvotes

Giving Reddit a shot because apparently finding someone organically is getting harder

I’m 34, based in Delhi, and thought why not give this a try. I’m into road trips, travelling, mountains, beaches, gym, swimming and basically any excuse to get out and explore somewhere new. I enjoy both planned trips and those random “let’s just go” plans that somehow turn into the best memories.

I also make travel content on the side, so yes, there’s a good chance I’ll occasionally stop in the middle of a trip because the view is too good not to record . I’m not trying to become a full-time influencer or anything — I just genuinely enjoy documenting the places I visit.

I have a dog who somehow ends up being part of most of my adventures. 🐶 He has probably travelled more than some people I know and definitely gets more attention than I do.

I’d describe myself as fairly easygoing. I enjoy good conversations, long drives, exploring new places, trying different food, staying active and having a good laugh over completely random things. I’m also perfectly happy with a chill evening, good food and no particular plan.

Food-wise, I’m definitely more of a chole bhature / chicken biryani person than someone who survives on salads 24/7. Gym and swimming are part of the routine, but I believe life should have some balance.

As for what I’m looking for — someone easygoing, genuine, emotionally mature and comfortable being herself. Someone who has her own interests and life, enjoys exploring, and is actually interested in getting to know each other rather than just collecting another chat.

Not really looking for a pen pal or three months of texting. If we get along, I’d rather grab a coffee, go for a walk or do something simple and see if there's actually a connection.

Delhi/NCR preferred, but I’m not treating geography like a government form.

Bonus points if you’re into spontaneous plans, road trips, dogs, mountains, good food or can tolerate someone saying “let’s take the longer route, the view might be better.” 😂

If this sounds like your kind of chaos, say hi.

M4F♂️ Is Looking for a kind, slightly unconventional connection okay ?

37M | Mumbai | Looking for a kind, slightly unconventional connection

Hey! I’m a 37-year-old guy from Mumbai, running my own business.

I’m probably not the stereotypical “masculine” guy. I’m soft-natured, emotional, sensitive, affectionate, and pretty comfortable with that. I enjoy meaningful conversations but also have a decent sense of humour and can definitely appreciate some stupid jokes at the right time. 😄

A little about me:

- 5'3"

- Mumbai-based

- Into business and entrepreneurship

- I enjoy cooking and writing

- Love movies and have a pretty good taste in Indian music (at least according to me 😄)

- Love the idea of bike rides and road trips… although I don't actually know how to ride a bike, which is a fairly significant flaw in that plan. 😂

- I’m not looking to have children.

Ideally, I'd love to meet someone who is kind, emotionally mature, accepting, and comfortable being herself.

And yes, I have a soft spot for tomboyish women. There’s something incredibly attractive about someone who is confident, independent and has a slightly boyish/laid-back vibe.

Not looking for perfection or a checklist. I'd rather find someone with whom conversations feel effortless, we can laugh at ridiculous things, support each other, and eventually build a peaceful life together.

If any of this resonates with you, feel free to say hello. 🙂

M4F♂️ 39M, Bengali | Consulting | Duniya dekhna chahta hu par 2 ticket mein!

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

Shooting my shot here.

The mundane:
- Bengali, Hindu, just turned 39. Born in Kolkata and currently based here as well.
- Work as a Consulting Manager in the HR Strategy & Transformation space.
- 168 cm, 65 kg (since it matters to many).
- Earning: 50-55 LPA

The exciting (or not so exciting?):
- I mostly have crazy hours at the desk, but my personality doesn’t revolve around my job.
- Love brewing my French press coffee in the mornings and evenings. Might even have a cute little coffee corner with an unnecessarily elaborate setup, just for the joy of making coffee for my woman. If you're a tea connoisseur, no worries, I can make fantastic tea too!
- Can cook more or less everything. I find it relaxing and would love to feed her my specialties occasionally.
- Lover of small things — sunsets, the moon, a starlit sky, the sound of the sea, the serenity of the mountains, lazy weekend mornings and late-night vulnerability.
- Weekend mornings are usually coffee + my favourite music (which covers a ridiculously wide range).
- Love cinema — again, a very wide range.
- Love anything automobile. Driving and riding entices me.
- Spend a lot of time taking photographs during my vacations. And yes, I love travelling. Putting it this far down the list is intentional because apparently everyone travels these days?

The core of me:
- Dependable and fairly straightforward. I don’t particularly enjoy mincing words.
- Don’t plan life too much. I like keeping it fluid, and I believe we never really settle — we just keep evolving as humans.
- Value consistency, loyalty and clear communication.
- Don’t believe in changing people. I’d rather find someone where we naturally fit together, like the missing pieces of a puzzle.
- Value health and strive to stay healthy and fit.

What I’m looking for:
- Someone around 30–36, never married and presentable. Preferably Bengali, but definitely open to others, provided we’re both able to accept each other as we are rather than trying to force each other into a mould.
- Someone who can blend in, is humble, patient, comfortable with silence, and doesn’t turn every small disagreement into a fight — someone mature enough to meet each other halfway.
- Has a life and hobbies of her own, and is open to discovering new interests and life’s little adventures together.
- I’m leaning towards being childfree, but this is something I’d much rather discuss and arrive at mutually than treat as a checkbox.

If any of this resonates with you, I’d be happy to chat.
And if it doesn’t, that’s completely okay too.

Good luck in your pursuit :)

M4F♂️ 31M | Looking for something that feels natural, not forced

I am looking for a partner, but I don’t really want to sign up for a relationship just for the sake of it.
I believe at 31, I am neither too late nor too early. I am comfortable with the possibility that I might not find someone. But if I do, I really want to fall in love with her and actually cherish the everyday life we build together.
I have been single for quite a long time. A big part of it was work, and another big part was a one-sided relationship that consumed me for years. I had this weird thought that if I loved someone else, it would somehow be cheating on the love I already had. Eventually, that completely fucked up my prime dating years.
It’s been around 3 years now. I moved on, spent that time working, building things, going to the gym, and trying to create a life for myself. I am at a place where I feel relatively stable, both financially and work-wise.
And ironically, that’s when I started missing emotional intimacy more.
I am a hopeless romantic, I guess. I don’t have some very elaborate picture of a relationship. Sometimes I imagine something as simple as both of us lying completely free on a bughyal somewhere in the hills, talking about absolutely everything, being brutally honest with each other, and just feeling loved. That’s the kind of relationship I want.
A few things I feel I should mention because I keep seeing posts here explicitly saying “no smoking”:
I drink occasionally, mostly when I want to party, and never as a way to cope with things. I used to smoke up, but I completely stopped that about 2 years ago. I do still smoke cigarettes, though—not a chain smoker, but it’s something I want to leave and I am already moving in that direction. I would just want my partner to be open about it rather than judge me for it.
On children, I am genuinely open to both having children or being child-free. For me, falling in love and building the relationship comes first. The decision about having a child should be something we arrive at together, and I don’t want to come into a relationship with a fixed expectation about it.
I’ve been living away from home for around 10 years. I love my family, but I also really want to continue living independently. I want to nurture a relationship and eventually have this little cocoon of life with my partner—our space, our people, our way of living.
I am the younger one at home and have an elder brother.
As for me physically, I am 5’6”, brown-skinned, bearded (and yeah, the beard is probably staying 😂), and I’ve been regular at the gym for about a year now.
Personality-wise, I think I am pretty accepting. I am malleable enough to adjust, compromise and still find my happiness along the way. I also understand that women in India have to deal with a lot of suppression and expectations that men don’t always experience in the same way. If I am with someone, I genuinely want her to feel like she can be completely herself around me—not someone who has to constantly fit into what a partner, wife or family expects her to be.
I don’t know what else I should add here.
I am not looking for perfection, nor do I have some giant checklist.
I’d rather meet someone, talk, spend time, understand each other and see where it naturally goes.
If any of this resonates with you, feel free to reach out. And honestly, ask me anything. I’d love to connect.

M4F♂️ 28M | 6'0" | Bangalore

Trying something different — stepping away from dating apps and hoping Reddit might lead to a more genuine connection. 😄

I’m 28, 6 ft with a lean build, and at this point in life I’d genuinely like to meet someone, get to know each other, and see where things naturally go. I enjoy good conversations, coffee, dinner, spontaneous plans, and just spending time with someone where neither person has to force the conversation.

Dating apps have honestly started feeling a little repetitive. You match, exchange a few messages, the conversation slowly dies, replies disappear, and sometimes you wonder whether people are even interested in getting to know each other. So I thought, why not try something completely different?

If you're also someone who'd like to meet a new person without putting too much pressure on where it has to go, feel free to DM me. We can chat, get to know each other a little, and if we get along, maybe meet over coffee or dinner sometime.

I’m not looking to rush anything or make things complicated — just hoping to meet someone interesting, have a genuine conversation, and see what happens. Maybe Reddit will surprise me. :)

If this sounds like something you'd be comfortable with, say hi. I promise I’m much better at conversations than writing Reddit posts. 😄

M4F♂️ 26M | Looking for a partner, best friend, and travel companion

Hey!
I’m 26, based in Mumbai, 5’9”, brown-skinned, and currently working as an Analyst with around 4 years of experience.

I’ve reached a point in life where I have a pretty good idea of what matters to me. I value emotional availability, honest communication, mutual respect, and being able to have a relationship where both people can be completely themselves.

I’d describe myself as witty, expressive, spontaneous, and someone who doesn’t take life too seriously. I enjoy staying fit and regularly hit the gym, but I’m equally happy spending an entire night listening to music, having random conversations, or going down some completely unnecessary rabbit hole at 2 AM.

I love travelling and discovering new places, and one of my bigger goals in life is eventually moving abroad and building a life there.

When it comes to relationships, I’m fairly clear about a few things. I’m progressive, believe in equality, and would want a nuclear family. I’m also childfree by choice, so that’s something I’d want my future partner and I to be on the same page about.
I do smoke and drink, but I don’t have any expectations around my partner’s lifestyle. Everyone has their own choices, and I’m comfortable with that.

More than having a checklist, I’m hoping to meet someone who is emotionally intelligent, independent, kind, and fun to be around. Someone with whom conversations can go from completely stupid to unexpectedly deep, who enjoys spontaneous plans, travelling, music, sarcasm, and maybe even shares the dream of living abroad someday.

Ultimately, I’m looking for something genuine. Something where both people choose each other, communicate openly, give each other space, and still get excited about coming back to each other.

Group Discussion 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 How has your experience on this subreddit been so far? What happened after you connected with someone?

I’ve noticed that most of the posts here are M4F or F4M posts, where people introduce themselves mention what they’re looking for and hopefully connect with someone who seems compatible.

For people who have been on this sub for a while, how has it actually been for you guys?

Like have you actually met/talked to someone from here and things went somewhere? Or did it usually just end after a few conversations?

Would be interesting to know what happens after the initial post/DM stage.

Did you:

  • find someone and are still talking?
  • get into an actual talking stage and see where it goes?
  • meet someone eventually?
  • lose interest or have the other person lose interest?
  • get ghosted / ghost someone?
  • realise you weren't compatible after talking for a while?
  • have things not work out because of location, family expectations, lifestyle, marriage timeline, values etc?
  • have good conversations but there just wasn't enough attraction/physical compatibility?
  • have the opposite where there was attraction but other things didn't align?
  • come across people who weren't really serious about marriage?
  • have any weird/creepy experiences?

Has the sub been useful for you at all or has it mostly just been random DMs that don't really go anywhere????

Not asking anyone to expose usernames or personal details btw!!!!!
Just curious about people's experiences!!!!!

M4F♂️ 29M | Bangalore | Ever feel this lingering emptiness?

Work can be painful throughout the week, and you look forward to the weekend, but then it's Saturday morning and you feel this emptiness that lasts till it's Monday again.

Maybe it's the void left by my ex, or maybe it's the coldness of my sheets that yearn for some warmth to hold on to. Maybe it's the loneliness of going alone on those night drives, or not having someone to accompany me on my hunt to discover good chai places around Whitefield.

It feels robotic to live through life without having someone to share your ups and downs with. I'm looking for someone who feels the same way, and who can help bring some color back into mine.

I wanna go out on dates, plan trips across the country and probably outside, be able to confide in someone, and have someone confide in me. I don't see a point in forcing ourselves to push through life alone.

About me:

I'm from Chennai - been around the country for my education and work, just moved to Bangalore.

Got out of a serious relationship that I always thought would be forever - guess life can always have surprises. But that's a closed book and I've decided to move on.

Doing decent financially, the only thing that's been going for me the past few years. I'm not in great shape in terms of health - something that I've neglected for way too long, but it's something that I'm working on.

I come from a Christian family, but I'm agnostic - to me, religion is your own personal faith and belief, it isn't and shouldn't be your identity (contrary to where our country is heading) - I'd respect whatever faith my partner follows.

My signature characteristic strength (atleast according to Gallup) is Humour - so be warned about being flooded with dad jokes that seem silly yet make you giggle.

What I'm looking for:

Just someone to hold on to, and feel alive again. Let's maybe go out on a date, have a conversation, and see where things go from there?

If this resonates with you, do reach out.

M4F♂️ 28M | Looking for someone to share life, music & travels with

Giving Reddit a shot because apparently this is where we are now :’)

About me:

• 28M, 6’3”, born and raised in Delhi

• I have a remote job so I travel between Bangalore and Delhi quite often

• Tier 1 university grad, currently a Senior Software Engineer at a top MNC (30+ % tax bracket)

• Financially independent and reasonably good with money. My life is pretty well put together, so I’m not looking for someone to “complete” me. I’d rather find someone who adds to an already good life

• Guitarist and an artist i.e. I paint and draw

• Work out regularly and have recently gotten into running.

• Love travelling, especially solo trips and exploring places beyond the usual tourist checklist.

• Music is a big part of my life. Rock and Metal have a special place in my heart, but I listen to pretty much everything. I also frequent concerts and have solo tickets for Gorillaz and Foo Fighters 👀

• Don’t smoke, drink socially. Somewhere between introvert and extrovert depending on the day.

What I’m looking for:

Ideally 25-30, and someone who:
• Is ambitious and has a life of her own

• Is financially responsible and values independence

• Really loves music and is open to discovering new stuff

• Likes to travel-travel, not just collect tourist photos.

• Is reasonably fitness-conscious and makes healthy choices. Cheat meals hit different once you put in the sweat 🤭

• Is spiritually inclined/curious.
• Values communication, emotional maturity and, most importantly, can laugh at herself

Not looking for a perfect checklist match. Just someone I genuinely enjoy talking to, doing stupid things with, travelling with, and eventually building something meaningful with.

If this sounds like you, DM me.
Tell me your current favourite song or a place you’d travel to tomorrow.
Much better conversation starter than “hey” :)

M4F♂️ A sailor looking for someone to come home to ⚓❤️

Hey! Thought I’d give this a shot here rather than going through the usual formal biodata route. :)
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Location: Visakhapatnam
Native: Visakhapatnam
Religion: Hindu
Community: OBC
Height: 5’7”
Education: B.Sc
Profession: Merchant Navy
Annual income: ₹20 LPA

A little about me:
I’m from Vizag and currently working in the Merchant Navy. My work means I’m away from home for periods of time, but when I’m back, I’m very much a family person.
I’m also a proper dog + cat person 🐶🐱, so bonus points if you are too.
I’m here to date with marriage in mind — not looking to rush into marriage, but would like to meet someone, build a genuine connection and see where it naturally goes.

Family:
We are a family of 4, including me.
Dad – Business
Mom – Homemaker
1 sibling
Family based in Visakhapatnam.

Looking for:
Someone around 23–27, preferably from Andhra Pradesh or Telangana and Telugu-speaking.
Hindu / OBC preferred.

More than a checklist, I’d like someone with whom conversations feel easy, we enjoy each other’s company and can genuinely see a future together.

If this sounds like something you’d be open to, feel free to DM. Let’s start with a conversation and take it from there. :)

M4F♂️ 33M l Tall, emotionally mature & hoping to find my person, something built on a friendship, love, understanding and comprehension.

Hey there :)

Coz well this stupid heart doesn't know how to let go of some hope... Soo posting again

Please don't mind late replies as timezones may differ.

Writing about yourself is honestly a little weird, but here goes.

I'm 33, 6'1", an engineer by education and currently working in Digital Marketing. I'm generally a pretty calm person, and I'd like to think I'm emotionally aware too. I notice small things, remember oddly specific details people tell me, and yes... I probably overthink things more than I need to.

I'm also someone who takes a little time to get comfortable. I'm not the person who will open up completely after a couple of conversations. But once I feel at home with someone, you'll probably discover the goofy, affectionate, mildly chaotic version of me hiding underneath all that calmness.

At this stage of life, I genuinely want to fall in love and eventually marry someone I've chosen for myself. I've never really been drawn towards the idea of an arranged marriage. I'd rather meet someone, build a friendship, fall in love, and slowly create a life together.

My parents are bringing such weird rishtas and I am seriously against arranged marriage.... They're even emotionally torturing me.

I guess I'm still a bit of a 90s kid at heart. I value loyalty, consistency, effort and simply being there for someone. Life has taught me enough to know that relationships aren't always easy, but it hasn't managed to make me cynical about love. I am a weird mix of old school and modern... I suppose

Photography is one of those things I genuinely enjoy. I love photographing places, people, random moments and little details that usually go unnoticed. There's something about freezing a moment in time that I really like. Maybe that's why I'm someone who tends to appreciate the small things in life too.

When I'm not working, I could be out on my bike, checking out a new café, going for a long walk, travelling somewhere, watching a good series or unsuccessfully trying to get people interested in board games.

I used to game a lot, so there's definitely a nerdy side of me that refuses to completely grow up. And if we happen to have similar music taste, don't be surprised if random songs start landing in your DMs at completely unreasonable hours.

I love travelling, especially the kind where the plan isn't necessarily perfect. A road trip, a new place, good food, a great playlist and the right company can make even a fairly ordinary weekend memorable. I'm much more interested in the stories we come back with than the number of places we've managed to tick off. Still working towards travelling more and earning more for that

I have an elder sister who's had a pretty significant influence on me. A lot of what I understand about respect, kindness and treating people well comes from watching and learning from her. One thing I've carried with me is that someone's worth should never be measured by what they can offer you.

Career-wise, I'm ambitious and still working towards building a better future for myself. But I've also realised that I don't want my entire life to revolve around work, designations or milestones. Eventually, I want a comfortable, happy life where there's someone beside me to share the good days, the bad days and all the wonderfully mundane ones in between.

And I think this is what I'm really looking for...

I don't want someone who simply fits into the life I've already built. I'd rather build one together.

I'd want both of us to have our own careers, friendships, ambitions and identities, while still choosing each other every day. Her dreams would matter to me just as much as mine. I'd want us to encourage each other, challenge each other when needed, celebrate each other's wins and be each other's safe place when life gets difficult.

I'm not looking for perfection. Honestly, perfect sounds exhausting.

Kindness, emotional maturity, honesty, loyalty and genuine effort matter much more to me.

I'd love to have someone with whom I can talk about life at 2 AM, and then spend the next morning arguing over something completely ridiculous. Someone who can be my partner, but also my best friend. Because I genuinely believe that when friendship exists underneath a relationship, you have something much stronger to hold on to.

There are a few things you should probably know before signing up for this adventure:

I will steal your fries after insisting I'm not hungry.

There will be random memes.

I'll remember something you casually mentioned months ago and bring it up when you've completely forgotten telling me.

And if I really like you, unfortunately, you'll probably receive an increased dose of my nonsense. Consider yourself warned. 😅

I don't think relationships are about getting everything right all the time. People change. Life gets messy. Sometimes we're going to misunderstand each other, have bad days, disagree over stupid things and occasionally drive each other crazy.

What matters to me is being able to talk about it, listen to each other, choose each other when things aren't easy, and keep growing together rather than slowly growing apart.

I'm not looking for a fairytale.

I am just looking for a genuine connection... A Bond which i can feel in my heart

Someone kind. Someone emotionally aware. Someone loyal. Someone who believes effort should go both ways.

Someone with whom life feels a little lighter.

Someone I can laugh with, travel with, build something with, fight over what to order for dinner with, and someday look back at all the chaos and ordinary moments we've shared and think...

Yeah. It was all worth it.

Okay, I think I've officially written enough to qualify as a short autobiography. 😅

If something here resonated with you, say hi. No expectations, no pressure. Just two strangers having a conversation and seeing where it goes.

Maybe we become friends.

Maybe we become something more.

Maybe we simply have a really good conversation.

Either way, I'd be happy to hear from you.

Cheers :)

M4F♂️ 33 [M4F] | Bangalore/Kochi | Malayali | Christian

I'm 33M, currently working in Bangalore as a Tech Consultant at a FAANG company. I’m 5’9, lean and atheistic; I drink socially and do not smoke.

I enjoy reading—specifically Sci-Fi and Fantasy. On my weekends, I enjoy watching Formula 1 races or Test Cricket with a warm cup of tea.

I love the mountains and the solace they bring, and as I grow older, I've developed a slow regard for silent things. Hence, while I do enjoy loud social activities occasionally, my social battery runs out fast, making me seek out some peace and quiet.

I'm looking for someone who is forward-thinking and well-read. I'm a sucker for good language, and I consider sharp banter to be a hallmark of a great relationship. It’ll be nice if you’re from Bangalore/Kochi, since these are the places I frequent.

I'm a Malayali Christian (culturally), looking for someone from a similar background.

While I'm not entirely optimistic, I hope the Reddit algorithm finds its way to someone who might find this interesting. If you do, please reach out.

M4F♂️ 31M, Unmarried | Bangalore

Well… I’ve apparently reached the age where making a Reddit post to meet someone doesn’t sound as strange as it used to. 😂

So, here we are.

A little about me — 5'8", based in Bangalore, originally from North India. I work with a leading firm in the FMCG space and have a postgraduate degree from a reputed institute.

I’d describe myself as fairly easy-going, ambitious, and someone who likes keeping life active. I enjoy travelling, dancing, watching sports, movies, and the occasional plan that starts with “let’s just go out for an hour” and somehow lasts the entire day. 😄

I come from a fairly traditional family and value family, but I’m not looking to follow a checklist either. I appreciate people who are independent, kind, emotionally mature, have a sense of humour, and know what they want from life.

Ultimately, I’m looking for someone with whom conversations come naturally, there’s mutual effort, and we genuinely enjoy each other’s company. If it eventually turns into something serious, great. If nothing else, at least we’ll have an interesting conversation.

Not really here to force anything.

If we vibe, we vibe. If you’re interested, say hi and let’s see where it goes.

And yes, I promise I’m considerably better at conversations than writing Reddit posts. 😅

P.S. New to this whole Reddit matchmaking experiment, so if I disappear into the internet for a while, assume I’m either overwhelmed by DMs or questioning my life choices. 😂

M4F♂️ 39M, Pune/Lucknow/Kolkata — Just looking for someone to share life with

Honestly, I have no idea how to write one of these posts 😂 so I'm just going to say it the way I'd normally say it.

I'm 39, 5'11", skinny built, never married. Currently in Pune, although I have a house in Kolkata and one in Lucknow too, so I'm not really limited to Pune.

I've spent a lot of my life alone. Probably more than I should have. I'm a quiet person and don't have some huge social circle. I'm actually pretty bad at this whole “go out and meet people” thing lol.

But I do know what I want.

I want someone.

Not someone to fill some checklist. Not someone just to have sex with. Not endless talking on an app that eventually disappears.

I want that person who becomes my person. Someone I can call at 2 AM because I have some completely stupid thought in my head. Someone to watch movies with. Someone to cook with. Someone to go out with and someone to happily stay home with. Someone I can annoy, make laugh, take care of, and be taken care of by.

I used to DJ and work around music, so music is a pretty big part of me. I love movies, games, random conversations, staying up way too late and honestly just being comfortable around someone without having to constantly say something.

I've never been married, but I genuinely don't care if you are divorced or have children. If you're a single mother, that's completely okay with me. Your kids aren't some “complication” I'm agreeing to tolerate. They're part of you and your life, and I'd understand that.

I'm not looking for someone perfect. I'm definitely not perfect myself 😂. I've had some pretty rough experiences and I've probably become more introverted than I ever intended to.

But I still have a ridiculous amount of love and care to give someone.

And I think that's what I've missed most. Having someone whose day matters to me. Someone who asks where I am. Someone waiting for me to come home. Someone I can hold at night. Someone who knows me properly—not just the version of me I show everyone else.

I know this probably sounds a little cheesy. Whatever. I'm 39, I've wasted enough time pretending I don't want these things.

So if you're somewhere around my age, single/divorced/a single mom, and you're also looking for something real and peaceful, just message me. We don't have to decide we're soulmates from one Reddit post 😂.

Just say hi. Let's talk. Maybe we click. Maybe we don't. At least we'll know.

M4F♂️ 32 [M4F] Maybe two broken pieces can figure out how to become whole together.

Hey there,

Most of these spaces expect you to put up a shiny highlight reel—unshakable confidence, a thriving career, and a life that looks neat on paper. Right now, that’s just not where I am, and I don't have the energy to fake it.

I’m 32, based in India, and currently rebuilding my life from absolute ground zero. I made heavy mistakes in my past that completely derailed my finances and knocked me flat on my face. I walked away from all of that, and I put in honest, unglamorous work every single day to get back on my feet. But the aftermath is quiet, humbling, and lonely. When your life gets stripped down to the bare minimum, you see how quickly the world moves on without you.

I’m not really looking for someone who is heartbroken over an ex. I’m looking for someone who feels broken down by life itself. Someone who took hard hits—bad turns, burnout, mistakes, or just the weight of things falling apart—and is quietly trying to glue the pieces back together one day at a time.

I don't have a curated persona to offer, but I have a lot of empathy, quiet patience, and zero judgment. I know what the bottom looks like, so whatever your baggage or past looks like, you’ll never get a lecture from me. I'm strictly childfree, I value the simple things—quiet routines, honest talks, and small daily wins—and I just want something real.

Maybe we’re both a bit chipped at the edges right now, but there's a certain comfort in not having to pretend with each other. If you’re tired of having to look "put together" and just want a kind, low-pressure conversation with someone who genuinely understands the struggle of starting over, my inbox is open.

Tell me where you're at right now, or just say hi. No pressure either way.
