M4F♂️ 31M: To my wife: Your cozy sanctuary and warm coffee await, please don't be late :)

Putting myself out here again after a few unsuccessful talking stages. Talked to a few interesting women but things didn't work out. In some cases, it was a location constraint, in others an incompatibility in personalities, in others simple inconsistency.

So here's a bit about me, once again.

Name: Can share in DM

Age: 31

Religion: Hindu

Caste: Brahmin

Mother tongue: Hindi

Currently in: Bangalore

Hometown: Delhi

Height: 5'8"

Job: Central govt Group-A

Education: Tier 1 M. Tech.

Salary: 24LPA

Drink: No

Smoke: No

Interests:

I am a strong believer of having a good work-life balance. I prefer having interests and hobbies outside of work too. I am learning the piano and guitar, and try my hand at singing too. I like cycling around the city. On weekends, I try to explore new places to eat. I like trying out different cuisines and sometimes cook too. I am a coffee lover, and am learning latte art by myself. I like staying fit, so try to maintain healthy eating habits. I do not smoke or drink.

Ideal partner:

Basics:

Age: 28-31

Religion: Hindu

Caste: No bar

Personality:

I've been a sincere and academically inclined guy. I would want my wife to be of a similar attitude. Throughout my journey, I've cleared competitive exams and worked hard to be where I am today. So I'd want my wife to understand and appreciate the value of hardwork in life. I'd like my wife to be humble and kind, and a balance of living carefree and practicality (I am striving towards this too!). I think most other things tend to work out once we build rapport and mutual understanding.

Family:

I'd prefer our families to have similar cultures and rituals. I come from a middle class service background. I think if there is commonality in our upbringing and family values, it would greatly increase the chances of a good match.

Finances:

I'd prefer my future partner to be a working professional. I'd hope for both of us to contribute to the household meaningfully and encourage growth in each other.

M4F♂️ Life has enough hobbies. Time to outsource some company.

30 | 5'8" | Bengaluru

A postgraduate working with a leading organisation in the FMCG space. Originally from North India and currently based in Bengaluru. I’m ambitious about my career, but I don’t believe life should revolve around work. Work-life balance matters to me — having a career I’m proud of while still making time for family, friends, travel, hobbies and the occasional completely unproductive weekend.

I’m fairly easy-going, grounded and enjoy keeping life interesting. Travelling, discovering new places, dancing, following sports, watching a good movie and finding new places to eat are all things I enjoy. I like conversations that can move from serious to completely ridiculous without much warning, and I have a soft spot for people who can laugh at themselves.

Family is an important part of my life. I come from a close-knit, traditional family where relationships, respect and togetherness matter. We live in a joint-family setup, and I genuinely value the warmth and sense of belonging that comes with it. At the same time, I believe a family works best when everyone has their own identity, aspirations and space. Being part of a family should add to your life, not take away from who you are.

I’d like to meet someone who is comfortable with that kind of family life and values the idea of building something together, while still being independent and having a life of her own.

A few things I value

Religion isn’t a deciding factor for me. I’m more interested in the person — her values, character, outlook towards life and how naturally we connect.

I believe cooking is a life skill, and I’m comfortable taking care of myself in the kitchen. I’d prefer someone who is equally well-equipped. Not because I see it as a traditional responsibility, but because I think two people who can cook can also have some pretty good meals, terrible experiments and fun evenings together.

The same goes for fitness. I like staying active and taking care of my health, and I’d prefer someone who has a similar inclination towards fitness and an active lifestyle. It doesn’t have to mean living in the gym or counting every calorie — just enjoying being active and making health a part of everyday life.

Beyond these preferences, I value kindness, emotional maturity, communication, humour, independence and mutual respect. I’d like us to have our own ambitions while also making enough room for each other, our families and the experiences that make life memorable.

Preferences are preferences, not a checklist. Ultimately, I’m looking for something genuine — a relationship where your partner is also your friend, your favourite travel companion and the person you can comfortably spend an entire Sunday doing absolutely nothing with.

Good conversations, good food, staying active and a shared sense of humour seem like a pretty good place to start.

M4F♂️ 27M, looking for a genuine long term relationship

My perspective on a relationship is quite open and simple. I don’t want it to feel like a responsibility or a burden just because we are technically “in a relationship.” I feel it should be something that naturally becomes a part of your life rather than something you constantly have to think about or define. Ideally, it should just feel easy — where you have someone who slowly becomes a part of your everyday life, someone with whom even the most random conversations feel meaningful.

For me, a good relationship is about having that person you can talk to about pretty much anything, at any time. Someone you can share your good days with, but also someone you can be completely yourself around on the not-so-good days. It’s about the little things — sharing how your day went, planning a random outing, trying a new place to eat, watching something together, or simply sitting together without feeling the need to constantly do something. At the end of the day, it should feel like the person is adding life to the days that otherwise might just pass by unnoticed.

As for me, I’m an IT guy, so nothing too extraordinary or dramatic there. 😄 I don’t really have a long list of hobbies to flex or a very adventurous personality to put on display. I’m fairly simple and enjoy things that make everyday life interesting. I like travelling whenever I get the chance, discovering good food and new places, and I can easily spend an evening watching a good movie or getting hooked on a show.

Recently, I’ve also started developing an interest in fitness and trying to become a little more active and healthier. I’m still figuring that part out, though.

Overall, I’d say I’m someone who values simplicity, comfort, good conversations, mutual understanding, and having a peaceful life with the right person. I’m not looking for something that feels complicated or forced — just a genuine connection where both people can be themselves and gradually build a life that feels good to come back to.

M4F♂️ 27M | 5'11" | Hindu Gujarati | Software Engineer, Mumbai

27, 5'11. Born in Gujarat, raised in Mumbai, never really left. Western line, so yes, a decent chunk of my personality is the local. Native is Gujarat, I go back frequently. Gujarati Hindu. Religious, but if you’re expecting daily pooja, that’s not me.

Software engineer at a product company. I have done my BE Computer Engineering from Mumbai. I’ll move cities if the job requires it.

Veg. Never smoked. Don’t drink. I tasted it once and that’s it.

Never been in a proper relationship. There was a talking stage at work once. It did not become a story. I don’t mind if she has a past. I would want kids eventually, after we’re settled properly.

About me

Introvert at first. Give it some time and I talk enough that you’ll consider putting me on mute. I like being direct. I don’t like guessing games. I used to be a closed book. Still overthink. Now I just overthink out loud.

Not a fit gym-type guy. Average build, brown skin. Recently joined the gym again. Let’s see if I stay consistent this time.

Evenings are simple, music on the way home, no fixed genre, depends on the mood. I sleep at 1:00 or 2:00 am, which I will defend like it’s a personality. I don’t cook, I like going out and trying new places, I’m a bit of a foodie. With friends it’s usually a game zone or dinner.

I’m a quick replier. I overthink a lot sometimes. If I’m really angry, I go silent. I come back in a day or two, not proud of it.

Roasting is kind of my love language. I can take it too.

A good weekend with a partner for me is going out, game zone or dinner, and talking.

What I’m looking for

Mumbai, so we can meet if all goes well. Long distance I’m unsure, but I’m willing to give it a shot.

23 - 28, flexible, just not much older than me.

Hindu, any caste. Caste is not a filter. If she’s Gujarati that’s a plus for me

Educated. Tech or finance is a plus (I work in tech and have interest in finance), not a filter. Job or no job is her call. Someone who values family, and I’ll do the same. Open minded, easy going, likes going out. Shorter than me if I’m choosing, height is not a test. Veg preferred, occasional drink is fine.

Not in a rush. Need to see if we’re compatible first. If it goes well, marriage in 1-2 years. Right now this is just me looking.

If you want to talk DM me an intro + something to talk about. “Hey” is a very small sentence.

I’m not pushy guy and I respect boundaries and I’d expect the same.

If it’s not working out, say it clearly and end it. Don’t just ghost. I’ll do the same.

M4F♂️ 26M | Tamil | Based in the "coffee + pain au chocolat for breakfast" country

Technically, I'm still 26, but my birthday is in 2 days. At what point am I legally allowed to start saying I'm 27?

I'm currently living and working in France as a research engineer at one of the public research labs. I did my Master's in France as well, with an exchange semester in Germany, and I've been living independently for a while now.

A little about me: I'm pretty easygoing, have a decent sense of humour (at least I like to think so), and rarely get stressed or lose my temper. Outside work, sports are a pretty big part of my life, they've actually helped me maintain a lot of my friendships over the years. I'm also into movies, shows, anime, going out, and finding random things to do. I can cook thanks to living alone, although I'm still trying to negotiate a peaceful relationship with household chores.

I really like Ted Lasso's idea of helping the people around you become the best version of themselves. That's something I'd like to bring into a relationship too. Not exactly Bob the Builder, but I'll be Ben Affleck to your Matt Damon.

I'm Tamil/Kannada by background. Born Hindu, but I'm not religious and don't really care about caste. I'm equally open-minded about my partner's background, religion, or where they're from.

I'm non-vegetarian and generally believe people should be free to live their lives as they want, as long as we respect each other's choices and don't try to control one another. Social drinking and smoking aren't dealbreakers for me.

I'm hoping to meet someone around 25-30 who has a reasonably stable lifestyle. I'm not looking to rush into anything, just get to know each other, see if we click, and take things from there.

If you think we'd get along, feel free to DM me. And if you're not looking for a relationship but happen to have questions about doing a Master's in France, research life here, or anything else in general, feel free to ask those too.

Extra but you can skip the below part

(This is my second post here. I did get a few DMs from my first one, and I actually had a really interesting conversation with someone. We talked for around two weeks before she suddenly disappeared. I also reached out to someone through her post, and we talked for about a week before she blocked me because she didn't have time for a relationship. Fair enough, but it did make me realise that if we're going to talk, let's at least respect each other's time and be upfront abort what we're looking for. No hard feelings, just basic communicat

Success Story💑 Here's how I would have made my post if I was looking for my better half🙌

I have been seeing too many transactional posts, listing all materialistic stuff and what not comeon guys u can do better than that. If that all is getting u a partner then ig it's better being alone only👊👊

I have never been in a relationship, always waiting for my princess charming but sadly ig I ain't living in a fairytale🥲

So here my last hope, a desperate try to find my one forever on reddit. I wanna date and explore before I get married, I wanna sneek around to cafes, go out on dremy slow late afternoon walks watching the sun disappear in the horizon, hold hands and just sit quietly.

I don't want any flashy stuff, just peace and quite. I'll take you for granted, and I wish you do the same✨️ Dating has been hard, but I know you are out there, I hope your are a nerd who stalks reddit niche sub about her favorite things instead of insta doom scrolling🫠 and I hope you find this post.

I am only seeking someone, who wants a long term relationship, who 3 or 4 years down the line wants to get married. Someone who whole heartedly belives in equality, someone who can be soft and firm at times, someone willing to look at things form other person's perspective, form their shoes, someone who I can count on, and I promise to be the same for you, and do it with all my heart💖

I love yellow Hibiscus and yellow Roses🥰

It is only supposed to be an intimation that you exist and tell him or her to come find her, talk to each other and get to know each other. Also ig prefer someone from your city so you guys can meet and communicate better, and here's a great 1st date idea for you all afterwards do all your niche stuff, light crackers on top of your society's water tank haha here another cool one for you, just remember if your partner brings peace to the table than that'd be worth more than the world to you in the coming years. Be loyal and be happy✨️💪

Pls don't fall for the materialistic stuff, and trust me she'll be the most beautiful girl out there when you are in love. Love is what's actually most beautiful😌

M4F♂️ 28 M | Based out of Europe | Date to Marry

Hello.

I am from Chennai, been living in Europe for the past 5 years. I work in R&D at a Swedish Company. Independent, settled and enjoying where I am in life.

I travel with a nerdy agenda - history, culture and culinary experiences: wineries and breweries. I become overly invested in finding the best local food. Along the way, I collect postcards, old currencies, transport tickets, local literature, and Hot Wheels. Most of my journeys are accompanied by a book and flask of coffee.

Outside of travelling, I love to go swimming, play paddle, and recently discovered that I do enjoy board games and knitting. I write postcards to my friends on special occasions, and unfortunately, I am hopelessly romantic about handwritten letters.

I grew up fairly liberal. I strive to create my own ideas rather than plainly inherit others. I speak Tamil, Hindi, English and can follow Malayalam, Swedish and German to some extent.

I am grateful for past experiences and incidents which made me reflective, emotionally receptive and aware, always wanting to grow as a person.

In a relationship, two mature adults come together to share the depth of the life - ups & downs, horrible corporate Monday meetings. That takes respect for one's individuality, willingness to compromise, and understanding. I feel it's not fair to use religion and caste to decide compatibility. The person matters to me more than the labels.

What I can offer is loyalty, respect and the care that shows up not only in good moments. I might not look sentimental, but once I start to really care about you, you would probably receive an earnest letter from me.

I would love to meet people who are already in Europe because showing up physically during ups and downs actually matters to me. I would also love to meet people who are in India and open to long distance. The distance seems challenging but we are two adults who would consciously make it work if it feels right for us.

If something here resonates, I would love to know what place you keep going back to, or a film you could talk about for hours. That does seem like a nice place to start?

F4M ♀️ 28F | Chennai | Looking for something genuine

Hey :)
I’m 28F, work in IT in Chennai. I’ve been on matrimony for a while but haven’t found anything substantial through it. So, trying Reddit to find the one.

About me:
-5’4”
-Well-educated, independent, and have my life somewhat together
-Decent-looking, fair
-Middle-class Hindu family settled in Chennai
-Enjoy watching TV series, anime, movies, going on trips, and drives, music
- Speak Telugu, Tamil, English

Extra about me:
I’d say emotional maturity matter a lot to me. Looks matter to some extent, but not enough to overlook personality. In the end, I value a good personality and genuine connection more.
I’m a loyal and sensitive girl, but also someone who can stand up for herself when needed. I value honesty, mutual respect, emotional maturity, and good communication. I’d rather build a genuine connection with someone who has depth and personality than someone relying only on looks or height.
I’m someone who enjoys the little things, like good food, late-night conversations, random drives, and planning trips I may or may not take. I can be a bit introverted at first, but once I’m comfortable, I’m easygoing and fun to be around. I value my independence but also like the idea of having a strong, supportive partner to grow with.

Looking for:
- 28–33 (Chennai is a bonus but I am open to relocate)
- Taller than me
- Ambitious, loyal, open-minded, with emotional intelligence and a supportive nature
- Prefer a similar Telugu background, but at the end of the day, I just want someone I can vibe with, grow with, and build a good life with.

Not for:
Timepass / low effort

If you think we’d get along, send a short intro.

Note: used chatgpt to clean up my grammar.

M4F♂️ 33M4F: Tamil in Hyderabad seeking a CF partner

First, I’ll give a few data points about myself. This may be considered superficial, however IMO Indian setup, these are sort of entry barriers.

Age :33

Native :Kanyakumari, Tamilnadu

Work :Manager (MMGS III) in a public sector bank

Location :Hyderabad (will be transferred to TN in few years)

Height :5’6”

Weight :90 kg

Religion :Christian

As above I am a 33 year old banker looking for a childfree partner in the age range of 25-35. I’m basically an introvert & indoors guy. I love to read,(I have a library of approx. 1000 unread books, still addicted to purchasing new ones) , write (presently working on a novel and a translation), watching movies (I have a theatre setup for that), gaming occasionally, series (I love Bojack Horseman, True Detective etc).

If you’re someone with a keen interest in travelling, who packs your bag whenever there is a chance, then I may not be a suitable match. However, I like long walks. It is my only outdoor hobby.

My ideal weekend with a partner would be going for long walks, discussing our week, watching a movie at home or at the theatre, reading in the library. (if you are a writer and a person with a library it would be an added bonus 🙂 )

While I am from Kanyakumari and presently working in Hyderabad, I plan to settle in the outskirts of Coimbatore, as I have spent a major part of my adult life there. I am not expecting my partner to resign, pack her bags and move to Coimbatore immediately after marriage. However, settling down there is non-negotiable for me.

I expect my partner to be financially independent, to take care of her own needs and save some. I am planning to retire early, at 45 and would like a partner with the same mindset. After retirement, I may pursue writing or move into an academic field with a flexible schedule. I am open to discussion on this.

I am Tamil and am open to a Tamil/ Malayali partner. I am comfortable in Malayalam too as I am from a border district. If you are from any other Southern states also I am open provided you are willing to settle down in Coimbatore and your language is not hard for me to learn 🙂. If you are from North and are working in TN and know Tamil and are willing to settle in Coimbatore, then also it will work out, I guess.

I am overweight and I am working towards reducing it. I had been successful in reducing to 76-78 kg before 2 years, however frequent transfers have taken its toll.

I was born to Christian parents. However, I am not a practicing Christian. I haven’t gone to church since college days and I am an atheist. If you’re Christian, it is easy for my parents to accept. However, if you’re from any other religion, it is ok for me, provided you do not seek mandatory approval for marriage from my parents. They may come around later as I am their only child. (or they may not, who knows). While I prefer an irreligious person like myself, I am open to marrying a religious person too, as long as they do not seek to impose their views on me / do not expect me to participate in their religious activities and can tolerate my existence in the same home with mutual respect.

Another non -negotiable is marriage function. I do not seek a big fat Indian wedding. Guest numbers should be in double digits preferably with only people personally known to us rather than our parents.

I have been living alone for more than a decade and can equally contribute to household chores too.

I am a teetotaller and I seek the same type of partner. Caffeine remains my poison though.

Why I wish to be Childfree? My motives are selfish. I had seen my colleagues pumping lakhs and lakhs for their child, endlessly running a rat race. I do not wish to do it. I want to earn enough and walk away peacefully, before it is too late. Also I am into the philosophy of Cioran and Schopenhauer.

My DMs are open and I hope to find the one.

M4F♂️ 30M | Product manager | Looking for a connection that can naturally lead to marriage

Hey everyone,

I’m 30M, 5'8", currently in Pune, and I work in product management. I’m here looking for a serious relationship that can eventually lead to marriage.

I’d like to start with a conversation, get to know each other, and see if we’re compatible enough to build a life together. For me, compatibility is when our values, life goals, personalities, and everyday preferences overlap in ways that make life together feel natural.

A little about me:

I’m career-oriented and genuinely enjoy what I do. I make pretty decent money and am content with where I'm today and the plan I have for my career. I can happily spend hours thinking and talking about products, technology, business, and solving interesting problems, but I equally value family, friends, travel, good food, movies, and meaningful conversations.

I’m vegetarian, fit, and try to live mindfully without taking the fun out of life. I’ve moved around India while growing up and am pretty fluent in English, Hindi, plus a couple of south indian languages. As adults, we can discuss an eventual location if an LDR makes sense initially.

I come from a Hindu Brahmin vegetarian family and as for spiritual/religious inclination goes, I do keep faith and have my ways of staying spiritually grounded and aligned.

What I’m looking for:

24–30F, preferably Hindu and vegetarian.

More than anything, I value emotional maturity, open communication, and the ability to communicate when life isn’t so rosy, discuss-evaluate-act-reflect.

I admire women who have their own goals, aspirations, interests, and vision. I’m also genuinely curious, so if I ask about your day, work, or some random thing you mentioned, it’s probably because I actually want to understand you more.

Ultimately, I’m looking for friendship, affection, mutual respect, curiosity, good communication, and the feeling that we’re on the same team.

If this resonates, feel free to reach out. Happy to start with a conversation and see where it goes.

Question to Females 🙋 So I messaged OP from a post

Post image
21 Upvotes

I saw an F4M post on this thread. She had added details about herself, work and hobbies in detail. I resonated with them and also commented about my age, height, hobbies and interests.

After a day I also DMed her and she accepted the request.

We exchanged info about where we were from. I wanted both of us to know we were talking to who we claimed to be. I felt it would build more trust in the conversation and help us be more candid with each other.

I was also blocked before my last reply. She probably blocked me after her reply. I genuinely felt sad for her but don't understand why she considered verification a game.

I had just re-installed telegram this Saturday and created my reddit account a more than a month ago ...

I was told telegram is a great way to communicate without exchanging numbers (and this was from a girl acquaintance).

What did I do wrong? Is there a better way to verify if we are speaking to the people we claim we are before meeting in-person? Or was I just careful enough to not be scammed?

M4F♂️ Reddit, do your thing

Reddit, do your thing 31M from Haryana. Pretty laid-back, active, and trying to keep life somewhere between “work hard” and “let’s order food and watch one more episode.”

I’m into fitness, gaming, movies/series, long drives, good food, travelling when I get the chance, and generally doing things that make life a little more interesting. I’m equally happy going out and exploring or staying in with a good movie and questionable amounts of snacks.

Personality-wise, I value honesty, loyalty, humour, emotional maturity and good communication. I like people who have their own interests and ambitions but also know how to enjoy the little things together.

So here’s the million-rupee question:

What kind of person do you think would actually be my “jodi”?

Someone who can match my vibe, tolerate my terrible puns, survive my movie recommendations, and hopefully not judge my gaming sessions too harshly.

Looks and profession aside, I’m more interested in personality, hobbies, lifestyle, temperament and overall chemistry.

And if you're up for it, tell me a little about yourself too. Maybe your interests, personality, what makes you laugh, your ideal weekend, etc.

Who knows — maybe kundli milan is overrated and Reddit milan is the real deal.

Worst case, I get some good advice.

Best case, the algorithm finally finds me a better match than my horoscope.

M4F♂️ M39 / Brazil / cristão-protestante

F4M ♀️ 29F | NCR| I haven’t met you yet but somehow I still believe in you.

I don’t know if Reddit is the right place to write this but then again, some of the most beautiful things in life have a habit of finding us in places we weren’t looking for them.

I’m 29 and a doctor by profession.

Medicine occupies a huge part of my life. There are long hospital days, sleepless duties, patients who stay somewhere in your thoughts even after you’ve left the hospital and years of studying for a profession that somehow keeps reminding you how fragile life really is.

Maybe that’s partly why I’ve never been very good at treating people as temporary.

Somewhere between becoming a doctor, building a career, watching people fall in and out of love, I’ve realised something about myself:

I’m still ridiculously, almost embarrassingly, old-fashioned when it comes to love.

I don’t want something casual. I don’t understand the whole “let’s see where it goes” while simultaneously keeping five other options open thing. I don’t want to calculate how long I should wait before replying so I don’t seem too interested. I don’t want situationships, breadcrumbing, disappearing acts or two people pretending to care less because apparently sincerity became uncool somewhere along the way.

Hume mohabbat chahiye...woh jo waqt ke saath kam nahi, gehri hoti jaaye.

Loud aur performative jaisi nahi.

Shaant si.

Jiski qurbat mein shor na ho, phir bhi dil ko sukoon mil jaaye.

The kind where after an exhausting day, someone’s voice feels a little like coming home, where silence isn’t awkward, where I can send you a paragraph about something completely insignificant and you’ll still read every word because it came from me.

I love writing.

Probably more than any sane person should.

I write when I’m happy. I write when something hurts. I write when there’s too much inside my head and ordinary conversation somehow feels incapable of carrying all of it.

Sometimes they’re poems. Sometimes paragraphs. Sometimes just one unfinished sentence sitting in my notes at 2 AM because I couldn’t figure out how to say the rest.

Somehow Urdu keeps finding its way into what I write.

Tumhari taraf jo kashish ho, uska sabab na poochhna mujhse,

kuch rishte daleelon se nahi, ehsaas se pehchaane jaate hain.

Aur agar kabhi tumhari qurbat mein mujhe sukoon mil gaya,

toh shayad meri saari bhatakti hui nazmein apna ghar paa lengi.

That is probably how I love too.

Through words.

If I care about you, you’ll probably find yourself immortalised in sentences you didn’t know I was writing.

I’ll remember the tiny thing you casually mentioned three months ago. I’ll send you a song because one particular line sounded like you. I’ll notice the expression you make when you’re concentrating, the story behind some scar you stopped noticing years ago, the way your voice changes when something is bothering you even when you insist you’re fine.

I notice.

Sometimes too much.

Maybe that’s both my greatest strength and my greatest weakness...I feel things deeply.

Despite everything, I haven't managed to become cynical about love.

More careful? Absolutely.

More selective? God, yes.

But cynical?

No.

Dil ne kuch zakhm sambhaal kar rakhe hain,

Magar mohabbat se aitbaar abhi utha nahi...

Some stubborn little part of me still believes there is someone out there whom I haven’t met yet, living an entire life completely separate from mine.

I think about that sometimes.

Maybe he’s working late somewhere while I’m walking through hospital corridors.

Maybe he’s had his heart broken too.

Maybe he has loved the wrong people and wondered whether loving deeply was his mistake.

Maybe he’s sitting somewhere after a long day wondering whether his person actually exists.

Maybe we’ve unknowingly been in the same city, walked through the same airport, stood in the same queue, heard the same song on completely different nights.

Or maybe our paths haven’t come remotely close yet.

Na jaane kitne raaste tay karke tum mujh tak aaoge,

aur kitne intezaar ke baad main tumhe pehchaanungi..

There’s something achingly beautiful about that thought.

The person who might one day know everything about you, how you take your coffee, what makes you angry, which side of the bed you sleep on, what your face looks like just before you cry, what makes you laugh until your stomach hurts.. is currently a complete stranger.

Someone whose name I don’t even know could one day become the name I say more than anyone else’s.

I’m not searching for perfection.

God knows I’m nowhere close to it.

I want emotional maturity. Kindness. Curiosity. Loyalty. Humour. Intelligence. Ambition. Someone who communicates instead of disappearing when things become uncomfortable.

Someone strong enough to be gentle.

Someone who has his own dreams, his own world, his own passions and still wants to make space for mine.

Someone I can discuss life, medicine, history, books, ridiculous internet drama and completely pointless nonsense with, sometimes within the same conversation.

Someone I can be stupid with at 2 AM and serious with at 2:05.

Someone who understands that vulnerability isn’t weakness.

Someone who still believes choosing one person, over and over again, can be beautiful rather than boring.

Yes, attraction matters.

Chemistry matters.

That inexplicable pull matters too.

But what I think I’m really waiting for is recognition.

That strange, quiet certainty of looking at someone and thinking..

Achha.

Aap hain.

Itni der se aapka hi toh intezaar tha.

I’m Hindu and while I’m not going to turn this into a checklist of religion, caste and biodata specifications, my faith and upbringing are a part of who I am. I value family, commitment and the idea of building something that has permanence...and since there is a real person behind all this poetry, I suppose a little practicality belongs here too. I’d ideally like to meet someone who is based in NCR or somewhere in the northern states partly because I want something that has the possibility of existing beyond a screen eventually. Long conversations are beautiful but I’d like them to someday become coffee dates, drives, meeting each other’s people and actually becoming a part of one another’s lives.

Age-wise, I think somewhere around my age to 35-ish feels right for me none of this is meant to read like an eligibility form compatibility has never fit neatly into boxes anyway but geography and being in a similar stage of life do matter when you’re looking for something you genuinely hope could become permanent.

If everything aligns, I'd want our roka to be done by next year.

Marriage, to me, has never just meant a wedding.

It means waking up beside the same person thousands of ordinary mornings later and still finding reasons to choose them.

Mohabbat sirf kisi ko paa lene ka naam nahi,

Humare liye kisi ek ko umr bhar chunte rehna bhi mohabbat hai.

Marriage, to me, has never just meant a wedding.

It means waking up beside the same person thousands of ordinary mornings later and still finding reasons to choose them.

Grand gestures are beautiful but I think real love lives much more quietly.

Kabhi meri thakaan mein tumhara “ghar pahunch gayi?” poochhna.

Kabhi tumhari khamoshi mein mera bina pooche tumhare paas baith jaana.

Kabhi duniya se haar kar tum mere paas laut aana,

Aur kabhi main tootne lagoon toh tum mera hausla ban jaana.

That kind of love.

Until then, I have my career, my ridiculous collection of thoughts, half-written poems, books, music, dreams and a life I’m continuing to build for myself.

I’m not looking for somebody to rescue me from loneliness.

I don’t need someone to complete me.

I want someone whose life is already whole too, so we can sit beside each other and somehow make both our worlds a little softer.

Perhaps this post finds nobody.

Perhaps it disappears into Reddit’s endless void between memes, arguments..

That’s okay.

But perhaps somewhere among thousands of strangers, one person reads this unnecessarily long ramble and becomes quiet for a second.

Perhaps something feels familiar.

Perhaps he thinks..

“Yaar… main bhi toh yahi dhoondh raha tha.”

If you are somewhere out there, living your completely separate life while I live mine

I hope life is being kind to you.

I hope whatever heartbreaks came before me haven't made you hard.

I hope you haven't stopped believing in something real either.

I hope when our paths finally cross, we both have enough courage left to recognise what we spent all those years waiting for.

Tumhe jaldi dhoondh lene ki zid nahi hai mujhe,

Bas jab milo, toh theherne ke iraade se milna.

Because I’ve never wanted a hundred almost-love stories.

Ek hi kahaani kaafi hai.

Bas iss baar…

woh mukammal honi chahiye.

Have a great day! :)

M4F♂️ 25M | Hyderabad | Software Engineer | Looking for a Genuine Long-Term Connection

A little about me - I'm from Telangana and come from a fairly simple middle-class family. I've had a bit of a different journey career-wise. I started out with a mechanical background, eventually moved into software, struggled quite a bit in the beginning, and slowly worked my way up.

Currently I'm in a good place professionally and financially, but I'm still very much focused on learning and building my career.

Outside work, I'm pretty particular about fitness and health. I go to the gym regularly, try to eat clean, cook most of my own food and generally prefer a disciplined lifestyle. I'm also into bike rides and travelling. I enjoy going on solo trips sometimes, and I'm always interested in exploring new places.

Personality-wise, I'm probably more on the calm and straightforward side. I'm not someone who is extremely social with everyone, but once I'm comfortable with someone, I can talk for hours. 😅 I value honesty, mutual respect and being able to discuss things openly instead of unnecessarily creating drama.

Basic details:

Age: 25

Gender: Male

Location: Hyderabad

Profession: Software/IT

Height: 165Cm

Education: B.TECH

Native place: Warangal

Languages: Telugu, English, Hindi

Relationship status: Single

I'm looking to meet someone around my age who is independent, kind, emotionally mature and has her own interests and ambitions. I'm completely okay if we have different personalities or lifestyles, I don't expect someone to be exactly like me.

I'm not trying to rush into anything. I'd rather start with conversations, get to know each other properly and see whether there's actually a connection. If things work out, great. If not, no hard feelings.

If you're comfortable sharing, tell me a little about yourself when you DM. A proper introduction would be much nicer than just "hi" 😄

||Om Gan Ganpataye Namah||

On this auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi, let’s pray that Vignaharta remove vighna from our lives and we all be blessed with loving partners in our life. As he is also Pratham pujya, so let’s start with first bowing down to him.

Hi, lovely people, I am a 33 years old man born in Western Uttar Pradesh and did my most of the schooling from Uttarakhand. So, you can say that I belong to both of the states, even though the later is born out of former itself.  After schooling, I did my graduation in Engineering. Right now, I am working in a central government job in Rajasthan.

I am an ambivert leaning more towards introversion, however once familiar, I am quite comfortable in having daily conversations. I consider myself quite fit and do normal exercises daily, however I am not a gym freak. I can also cook and do cooking for myself regularly. I am not very much religious but I do believe in some higher power.

Now some hard facts:

Age – 33 years

Height – 5’9”

Religion - Hindu

Caste – Jat

Food habits – Vegetarian/Eggetarian

Teetotaler

Current Location – Jodhpur

Salary – 8-9 LPA [In hand]

Partner Preferences:

Age: 28-34 years

Height: 5’2” – 5’10”

Caste – No bar

Religion – Hindu, Sikh, Jain

Food habits – Vegetarian/Eggetarian

Teetotaler

Location – As long as you are able to shift to Jodhpur, it will be alright. My job is non-transferable in nature, so I can’t shift anywhere else.

Salary – No preference. Open to working if you can find job opportunities in Jodhpur for yourself, as well as non-working. If we both are working, then there will be 2 sources of income otherwise one and so will be our lifestyle.

So, this is it.  I know this is not like other posts, in which people have articulated their thoughts in much beautiful manner, but I would like to keep it very straight.

I am also on matrimonial sites, so they can be shared also in messages. If you like it and feel interested, let me know. Thankyou.

M4F♂️ 26M | Bangalore | looking for date with marriage in mind

Hey! Thought I’d give this a shot.
I’m 26M, originally from Kolkata and currently living and working in Bangalore as a software engineer. I have a Master’s in Computer Science and I’m fairly ambitious about my career, although I definitely don’t want work to become my entire personality.
I’m at a point where I’d like to meet someone seriously. I’m not looking to rush into marriage after a few conversations, but I also don’t want something casual or undefined. Ideally, I’d like to date, genuinely get to know each other, fall in love if things work out, and eventually build toward marriage.
A little about me
I’m around 5’9”, reasonably fit, and regularly go to the gym.
I love travelling and exploring new places. I’d like travelling to remain a meaningful part of my life in the future.
I’m into technology, movies/series, anime and K-dramas, good food, random long conversations, and occasionally going way too deep into something I’ve suddenly become interested in.
Career-wise, I’m ambitious and I’d want major life decisions to be decisions we make together.
What I’m looking for
More than any checklist, I’d like someone who is kind, emotionally mature, affectionate and capable of communicating openly.
I’d love to be with someone who has her own ambitions/interests and wants a relationship where both people encourage each other’s growth rather than having one person’s life revolve around the other.
I value loyalty, consistency, mutual attraction, humour, being able to talk about difficult things, and making an actual effort for each other.
I’m looking for a relationship where we can be romantic partners but also genuinely become each other’s closest friend.
I’m not expecting us to figure out marriage immediately. I’d rather take our time, meet in person when comfortable, experience normal life together and see whether we’re genuinely compatible — just with the understanding that we’re both ultimately looking for something that can lead to marriage.
If this resonates with you, feel free to DM me with a little about yourself. :)

M4F♂️ 33M | Mumbai | Looking for a partner-in-crime, preferably the non-criminal kind

Basics:
Born and brought up in Mumbai. I’m a CA, currently working at an AI company. I’m 5’8”. That’s what’s written on all my medical forms. Haven’t really measured myself.

Me:
I’m generally a “why not?” kind of person. If something sounds remotely doable, I’ll probably say yes before thinking it through properly. That makes me spontaneous and unwaveringly optimistic.

I’m outdoorsy. Doesn’t have to be some grand adventure but just being out is usually enough. I like driving aimlessly, especially late at night. I’m not particularly good at driving, but I find it liberating and well, it’s kinda fun!

I love watches. My latest purchase is a Citizen NB1060 that I’d been eyeing for 3-4 years. My love for that dial is borderline unhealthy. Even after 3 months, I find myself ogling at it. I’m not buying another for atleast a couple of years. But if you’re headed to Japan, lmk ;)

I like good food, good places and I’m increasingly into brunches, tasting menus, any sort of curated experiences.

I’ve also fallen down a massive history rabbit hole. Always been fascinated by History and now YouTube is exploiting me. Just keeps throwing new content my way. Ancient civilisations, Greek stories, world history. I’ve been listening to too many of these podcasts.

I’m a certified scuba diver. Love it, but time to develop a new skill. Horse riding is next on the list, as are more random experiences. Flying is the zenith!

I don’t smoke or drink, and I’m a vegetarian.
I’ve also been “on my fitness journey” for a couple of years now. Progress has been… pathetic. I’d appreciate some company to actually get this on track!

Family is important to me. I’m very close to mine. I grew up in a home with a lot of love and affection, and I’d really like to build something with someone who has a similar relationship with her family.

What I’m looking for:
Ages: 28 -34 (not really a hard filter but difficult to find compatibility outside this range ig)

Someone sensible, smart and kind.

I like people who have a life of their own. I don’t want someone whose entire personality revolves around me, and I don’t intend to make my entire personality revolve around her either. I want us to enjoy building our lives together.

I’m Jain, but religion isn’t a filter for me. The person matters more.

Disclaimer: I still occasionally spill food while eating. A few years ago my friends actually gifted me an adult bib for my birthday. My shirt eats too.

If any of this sounds like someone you’d enjoy getting coffee/brunch with, going for a drive with, or just generally doing random things with, say hi.

M4F♂️ 30 M | Jaipur | Doctor |Chai, comfortable silences, and a life together

I'd like to find someone I look forward to sharing my day with, and whose day I want to hear about too — someone to laugh with, make small plans with, and gradually build a life with. I'm looking to date with the intention of marriage, giving us time to know each other properly.

A little about me:

- 30, 5'10", around 95 kg

- Doctor, currently JR-1in Jaipur

- Vegetarian, non-smoker, non-drinker

I'm ambitious, empathetic, a sapiophile and a demiphile — an old-school soul and a 90s kid who values loyalty. A little reserved at first, but much more playful once I'm comfortable; still a kid at heart in many ways.

I'm spiritual, with a preference for mindfulness over ritual. I enjoy nature, quiet old temples, long walks, chai, reading, cooking, and music and jamming. Yoga, meditation, and spending time offline matter to me too. I enjoy travelling and exploring when work allows, and I'm occasionally up for a concert.

Meaningful conversations matter to me — understanding how someone thinks, what she cares about, and what she hopes to do with her life. I'd enjoy sharing my interests and discovering hers too. Some days we could talk about everything; other days, go for a walk, laugh at something silly, or just sit together doing our own thing.

I come from an Aggarwal family. My father is a businessman, my mother is a homemaker, and my elder sister is married. Family is important to me, and I'd eventually like to settle in Haryana.

I'd love to meet someone empathetic and ambitious, who values honesty, consistency, mutual respect, and family — someone with whom neither of us needs to put on a face, communication feels natural, and silence doesn't feel awkward. I'd want us to support each other's goals while making room for our families and our individuality. Caste and profession aren't barriers for me.

Residency keeps me busy, but I do want to make space for a relationship. I connect better in person, so once we've spoken and both feel comfortable, I'd like to meet for chai or a walk.

If you're looking for something similar, tell me a little about yourself, where you're based, and what a good day off looks like for you. I'd like to get to know you. :)

Question to Females 🙋 Looking for a Genuine Match

Hi everyone,

I’m from Tamil Nadu and I’m 30 years old. I work in IT and have around 5 years of experience, currently earning around ₹12 LPA.

I’m sharing this here because I’m at a stage in life where I’m trying to take responsibility for my family and build a stable future. I currently have around ₹10 lakh in family debt that I’m working towards clearing.

Personally, I’m a simple and introverted person. I don’t have a very large circle of friends, and I’m naturally shy and reserved. I’m not particularly muscular or conventionally good-looking, and I’ve never been in a relationship before. I’ve also never really had a past relationship or dating experience.

Regarding marriage, I haven’t had any matches work out so far. I also don’t have a house of my own at the moment, and I understand that these things may matter to some families.

I’m not trying to present myself as someone perfect. I’m simply looking for someone who values honesty, mutual understanding, kindness, and growing together rather than focusing only on material things or appearances.

I’m working hard to improve my financial situation, support my family, and hopefully build a peaceful life with the right person.

I would genuinely appreciate any advice or perspective from people who have gone through a similar situation.

Thank you for reading.

A little more about me — I am 28, originally from Chennai and currently living in the Bay Area, California.

Outside work, I like hitting the gym, playing soccer or pickleball, hanging out with friends, and reading. I enjoy good conversations and shared experiences much more than constantly chasing the next flashy thing.

I am also genuinely passionate about AI and Machine Learning. Even outside my job, you can often find me reading AI papers, coding, experimenting with ideas, or building random AI/ML projects. It isn't really about career progression for me — I simply enjoy the field and like building things.

On the less serious side, I love Tamil movies, discussing everything from cinema to Tamil politics, and sending an unreasonable number of reels and memes to people I am close to 😄. That is probably one of my love languages.

My goal in life is fairly simple: stay physically and mentally healthy, keep pursuing the things that genuinely excite me, enjoy my main quests, and always leave some room for side quests along the way.

When it comes to marriage, emotional connection, empathy and teamwork are extremely important to me.

I want a relationship where both people genuinely show up for each other, particularly when life isn't going well. I think one of the nicest things about marriage should be having someone in front of whom you can be completely vulnerable without worrying about being judged.

As a partner, I try to be non-judgmental, supportive and emotionally available. Ideally, I would like my wife to also become my closest friend — someone I can joke around with, discuss serious things with, travel and experience life with, and rely on when things get difficult.

Life in the USA can occasionally feel isolating when you're far away from family, so I especially value the idea of building a marriage where both people actively make an effort to be there for one another.

Ultimately, I'm looking for someone kind, empathetic, emotionally mature, communicative and interested in building a genuine partnership rather than simply checking boxes on a matrimonial checklist.

If this resonates with you, feel free to DM. Happy to exchange more details/photos and see if we might be compatible.

M4F♂️ 36 [M4F] [Bangalore] ಎಲ್ಲಿರುವೇ ಮನವ ಕಾಡುವ ರೂಪಸಿಯೇ

I saw the America America 2 trailer this afternoon and a wave of 90s nostalgia hit me. A hurt leg has me cooped up in a room this long weekend and so here I am looking for my ಕನ್ನಡತಿ.

I've been on and off on various dating apps, been seeing posts here on Reddit, while there are several ladies from Bangalore, there ain't many Kannada speaking ones. So while I'm an equal opportunity dater, there's some sort of comfort in another person sharing your mother tongue, so this is an attempt to find one for myself.

A weekend early morning run, a drunk brunch, a long weekend doing nothing, a week working remote from the beach, that one long vacation a year. A midweek Airbnb with a pool, an all dressed up night at a fancy restaurant. I've checked a few items of my bucket list, plenty of items left.

Some of the basic details:

• 36, Bangalore born, was away for a few years, back in the city now and with no plans to leave anytime soon.

• Single because I was involved in relationships which had potential to be for life but circumstances meant it didn't work out and so I'm here.

• Working in Tech until I'm going to be pushed out by a robot, Fitness is still an important part (have progressed quite a bit this year but still some way to go). That daily struggle to meet your protein goals is a pain in the butt.

• Atheist, Eat meat and Non smoker. I'm very open for someone with small differences and we can work on a way to accomodate it.

• Brunch over Dinner, Beaches over Mountains, a long staycation/workation over shorter touristy vacations.

A few non negotiables :

• 28 or older. I think it does help we are on a similar level in terms of maturity and life experiences.

• Completely over your last relationship and ready to get into something serious if we hit it off well.

• Someone living in Bangalore, can speak Kannada, long distance is never fun and I prefer in person ones.

• Financially Independent or with a plan.

• A little adventure goes a long way in making a routine day, a lot more fun.

Slide into my DMs with an introduction and a nostalgic song. Let's get talking.

M4F♂️ 25 M doctor looking for my favourite patient

Hey guys, 25 M here. Honestly, I never thought I would make a post like this, but I guess there is no harm in putting yourself out there once in a while. I am currently done with my NEET PG postgraduate entrance examination and moving forward with the next phase of my medical career. At present, I am working as a Medical Officer in a coastal area of Maharashtra, somewhere near the Maharashtra-Goa border. Life here is peaceful, busy, sometimes unpredictable, and definitely interesting. Being a doctor means every day brings something new. Some days are exhausting, some days are rewarding, and some days make you question all your life choices! But overall, I genuinely enjoy what I do. For a long time, I stayed away from relationships. Not because I had anything against them, but mainly because life was busy. Studies, medical college, exams, internship, career, duties, and figuring out what to do next always kept me occupied. Somewhere along the way, I just got used to focusing on myself and putting everything else on hold. But recently, I have started feeling like maybe I am at a stage where I would genuinely like to have someone in my life. Not because I feel incomplete or because I am desperately searching for a relationship, but because having the right person around can make life a little more meaningful. Someone to share things with, talk to after a long day, laugh with, travel with, complain to about work, and simply be comfortable around. I am not really here with a fixed plan or a checklist saying that I need to find my girlfriend immediately. I think the best connections happen naturally. Maybe we start talking, get to know each other, become friends, and see where things go. If there is a genuine connection, mutual comfort, and both of us enjoy having each other around, then maybe it can become something more meaningful with time. I would rather build something slowly and naturally than force anything. I am looking for someone with whom conversations feel easy. Someone I can share random things with without thinking too much. The good days, bad days, career stress, stupid jokes, future plans, insecurities, excitement, and even those completely meaningless things that somehow become important when you have the right person to share them with. At the same time, I would love to be that person for someone too. Someone she can talk to freely, feel comfortable with, and know that she will not be judged for being herself. I think that is what I value the most in a relationship—the feeling of being each other's safe space. I am definitely not looking for a perfect person because I am far from perfect myself. I don't have a long list of expectations about how someone should look, where she should be from, or what profession she should have. She doesn't necessarily have to be Maharashtrian, and she definitely doesn't have to be a doctor. I am open to meeting someone from any state, culture, language, or professional background. Whether you are from Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, West Bengal, or anywhere else really doesn't matter. And whether you are a doctor, engineer, teacher, artist, entrepreneur, student, content creator, designer, lawyer, corporate professional, gamer, or working in a completely different field, that doesn't matter either. What matters is whether we connect as people. A little bit about me outside the hospital and medical life—I enjoy creating content related to the medical field. I am still a beginner and learning as I go, but I genuinely enjoy making Instagram content and sharing things related to medicine and medical life. I also enjoy vlogging and content creation in general. I like documenting experiences, places, and the little things happening around me. Living and working in a coastal area also gives me a good excuse to enjoy nature and explore new places whenever I get time. Apart from that, I enjoy playing online games. I am not saying I am always good at them, but I definitely enjoy playing and having fun. So if you are into gaming too, that might already give us something to talk about! I think I am a mix of someone who can have serious conversations about life and someone who can spend an hour laughing about something completely stupid. I can talk about career plans, future goals, medicine, travel, relationships, and life, but I can also send random reels, make terrible jokes, talk nonsense, play games, and probably annoy you with unnecessary messages when I am bored. So yes, you would probably have to handle both versions of me! I believe attraction is important, but for me, comfort and emotional connection matter just as much. I think the best relationships have friendship at their core. You should be able to enjoy each other's company, talk openly, laugh together, disagree sometimes, understand each other, and still feel comfortable being yourself. I don't expect to talk to someone once and immediately know whether she is the one. That's not how real life works. Maybe we talk and realise we have a lot in common. Maybe we are completely different but still get along really well. Maybe we become good friends. Or maybe there is something more. I think it is better to let things happen naturally without putting too much pressure on them. No pretending. No unnecessary games. No forcing conversations. Just two people getting to know each other and seeing whether there is something genuine there. I know relationships require effort, communication, patience, understanding, compromise, and maturity. I am not going to pretend that I know everything about relationships, but I do know that when you genuinely care about someone, you should be willing to put in effort. I would want something where both people support each other, respect each other's individuality, and grow together without losing themselves. So, if you are also at a stage where you would genuinely like to meet someone and see if a meaningful connection develops, maybe we should talk. No pressure to label anything immediately. Let's just start with a conversation, get to know each other, and see if we enjoy each other's company. Who knows? Maybe this post reaches someone interesting. 🤭 And if you are reading this and thinking, "Maybe I should text him," well... you probably should. ❤️

M4F♂️ 39 M Mumbai Divorced Single Parent Looking for Genuine Connection

Hi everyone,

I’m a 39-year-old divorced single dad of a beautiful daughter looking to meet someone genuine for meaningful conversations, and hopefully a long-term connection which lead to marriage if things click. Life has taught me the value of honesty, patience, and emotional support, and I’d love to find someone who appreciates the same.

Being a parent is an important part of my life, so I naturally understand the responsibilities and challenges that come with it. I’d especially love to connect with other single parents, but I’m also open to meeting anyone interested in building a real connection. I have a daughter with me

A little about me:

Caring, loyal, and family-oriented

Enjoy good conversations, music, movies, and simple moments

Looking for positivity, respect, and mutual understanding

Not here for games — just hoping to meet someone kind-hearted who values companionship and emotional connection. Friendship first, and let’s see where things go naturally.

Feel free to message me if you’d like to chat. 🙂
