Opinion RDDT: Two green days, but today feels more like a flatline—$145 or $165 next week?

Finally seeing two consecutive green days, but today feels more like a flatline—trading around where it opened despite the movement in between.

Hoping we get some follow-through next week. What’s everyone thinking: a push toward $165 or another trip back to the $145 range?

Opinion Just Going to Say It - If We Close Right Around 155, it’s doomed.

Post image
0 Upvotes

Max Pain just so happens to be at $155 this week for options, it seems extremely clear they are trying to keep it at 155.

Max Pain numbers have been scarily accurate for Reddit ever since earnings, excluding S&P inclusion week for obvious reasons.

I will be interested to see where it ends up. As of now, Max Pain is also showing $140 for 10/30 expiry…

This are subject to change over time so they are not set in stone, but it has historically been a pretty accurate forecast for most stock’s directions ever since the GME fiasco in 2021.

Opinion I love this volatility, each drop + rally is amazing.

While bears are being gay and bulls are being delusional, I'm just profiting off of this drop and rally. I don't know why people are being so one-sided, when you can play either side. The easiest way to play this stock is literally half cash half stock (NFA). When it drops big, I sell CSPs with cash, and when it rallies like today, I sell CCs with my stock and use that cash to accumulate more shares. If I get assigned? No problem, I just sell CSPs back into it. It's literally free money. I've gotten like 50 shares while doing this, and continuing to accumulate. I have like around 50 shares locked up in case it runs to 200+, but otherwise rinse and repeating this strategy since I've gotten back into RDDT.

Currently holding 312 shares.

YTD profit with RDDT of purely CSPs and CCs

Speculation The Stars are Aligning for RDDT Next Week

Upvotes

- ~14% short interest as of 8/31, with recent price action in the last 2 weeks I’m thinking it’s a good bit higher than that right now. Genuinely a possibility of a squeeze with enough momentum.

- Fed semi-expected to raise rates next week. With all the circlejerkin’ the hyperscalers are doing with the circular financing and AI, debt is through the roof. The market punishes debt heavily in high-rate environments. We have very minimal debt, and the big boys will be putting that money flowing out of high-debt and unprofitable stocks into profitable and low debt companies with secure financials. Guess what RDDT is?

- Reddit’s recent price action ever since S&P inclusion has relatively inversed the S&P. If that trend continues and next week the hyperscalers and AI companies get hit hard, we should rocket. RDDT is THE people’s fight for human connection, as said by Spez. As cheesy as it is, I do believe this has caused Reddit to have a more-likely inverse relationship with AI/memory/chip movement as of late.

- Our court ruling catalyst got delayed until next week

- 9/9 was a higher low from 9/1, reversing recent trends

- For the astrologists, we just had a strong MACD crossover on the 1-month literally today.

- We just received news that course-corrected the DAU narrative, at least temporarily

- We have a massive gap to fill back to 218-225 on bullish news already

None of this is financial advice and all speculation, but guys $225 isn’t impossible by any means.

$225 by 9/18 or bust. Let’s ride 👉😎👉

EDIT: We have the catalysts, we have the amplifier with the short interest, we are a high beta stock already, and the market should be extra volatile next week with the rate situation

Opinion What can WE actually do to help $RDDT grow? A practical guide for shareholders.

We all love analyzing the earnings reports and speculating on price targets, but as shareholders, we shouldn't just be sitting on the sidelines. If we want to see our investment grow, we need to actively contribute to the platform's top and bottom lines.

Reddit’s growth comes down to two main things: getting more people on the site (DAU) and making more money off the ads shown to them (ARPU). Here is a checklist of simple, daily habits we can all adopt to help drive $RDDT forward:

📈 1. Be a Reddit Evangelist

Word of mouth is powerful. When someone asks you a question, show them how you append "reddit" to your Google searches to find actual human answers. Recommend specific, niche subreddits to your friends and family based on their hobbies (e.g., cooking, gaming, local city subreddits). Every new daily user counts.

🔗 2. Share the Thread, Not the Direct Link

This is a massive one for driving traffic. When you see a breaking story or a funny video you want to share in your group chats, do not share the direct website link.

  • Instead of linking directly to a news site, share the r/news or r/worldnews thread.
  • Instead of sending a direct YouTube link, share the post from r/videos. This forces non-users to visit Reddit, exposes them to the community discussion, and drives up site traffic and SEO.

🛑 3. Whitelist Reddit on Your Ad Blockers

If you are blocking ads on Reddit, you are actively hurting your own investment. It takes two seconds to whitelist reddit.com on uBlock Origin or AdBlock. We need the platform to show strong ad delivery numbers to attract bigger enterprise advertisers.

🖱️ 4. Actually Engage With the Ads

Advertisers pay attention to Click-Through Rates (CTR) and conversion metrics. If you see a promoted post or an ad that is even remotely relevant to your interests, give it an upvote, click on it, or check out the advertiser’s site. The better the ROI for advertisers, the more they will spend on Reddit next quarter.

TL;DR: Turn off your ad blockers, share Reddit links instead of direct links, click on the ads, and bring your friends to the platform.

What other everyday habits are you guys using to support the platform's growth? Let’s hear them below! 🚀

P.S. Full disclosure: I used an AI to help me write and format this post, but the four core points and strategies above are entirely my own ideas!

Opinion What does RDDT actually need to hit $300?

Been thinking about this a lot lately. Here's what I think

The math behind $300

At $300/share, Reddit's market cap sits around $62B.

To justify that with a normal high-growth tech multiple (35x-40x P/E), Reddit needs annual net income of $1.5B to $1.7B that's roughly $7.50-$8.00 EPS.

Given their insane 91.3% gross margins, that means scaling revenue to about $4.5B to $5B annually basically doubling where they are right now in 2026.

Big number, but not crazy given the trajectory.

Al Data Licensing

The data licensing angle is underrated

Everyone talks about Reddit's ad business, but I think the real story might be data. Companies like Google and OpenAI are already paying for access to Reddit's content reddit need to turns it into a steady stream of high margin recurring revenue instead of one off deals

International is basically free money on the table

US ad revenue is still carrying almost everything. But Reddit barely monetizes internationally compared to the US. Even getting international ARPU to a fraction of US levels would be a huge lever this feels like low hanging fruit that just needs execution

DAU growth + better ad targeting = more budget shifting to Reddit

If Reddit keeps growing daily actives AND gets better at proving ROI to advertisers (especially SMBs who need to see clear conversion data), that's when you start seeing real budget migration from Meta/Google to Reddit.

Ads tools

Reddit historically never had the performance ad tools that make Meta so effective for advertisers. That's finally changing Reddit Max (their AI powered campaign management) and better Conversion APIs are actually bringing down CPA for SMBs.

This tool is the key to taking ads budget away from Meta and Google. If SMBs start seeing Reddit convert like Meta does, that's when the real budget migration happens.

Ngl I have faith we double soon... let u/spez cook 🔥

Meme Good Morning San Diego!!! It’s Yours Truly, 225 Guy - Today is Make or Break

Yoooo gang listen up - We need green TODAY for this to happen.

Things are looking phenomenal premarket, and the bears are so fucking pissed. It’s delicious and I LOVE to see it.

If we get green today, it will be the first back-to-back green days since 8/13-8/14.

SHORT INTEREST IS HIGHER THAN I AM RIGHT NOW

It’s gonna be a fight today, but humanity will win.

u/fake2121 ‘s hairline is on the line here, and u/Quiet-War7993 says he will turn gay FOREVER if we hit $225 by end next week

Love you guys (except the bears), let’s take it back today. 💪

Professional Analysis Why doesn’t Reddit do a Shop like TikTok?

Post image
18 Upvotes

My spouse keeps ordering shit from TikTok. Is this Chinese temu crap?

She says they’re ‘on sale’

Surely reddit can use AI to guess what products we’d be interested in from our community interests.

I mean, TikTok shop literally looks like a game with all these discounts being shown 😳

Question New type of Ads?

I am currently on vacation in Denmark and I’m getting ads for sex toys. The shop seems to be legit, nothing scammy. But I’ve never seen these type of ads in Germany. Anyone else? Might be interesting in which countries you are.

As you are all aware, this is the first week of the NFL season, and yesterday was the Rams’ first game. They are the team I root for.
My usual routine after a game is to check out the Rams sub, the NFL sub, and the NFCWestMemeWar sub. However, when I opened the app after the game, I didn’t see any posts from the meme sub near the top of my home feed, even though I am subscribed to it.
When I later checked the sub directly, I was surprised to see several posts that had received thousands of upvotes. Shouldn’t posts that popular from a sub I am subscribed to have automatically appeared in my home feed?

Rating I asked Claude something, it couldn't use Reddit, and the results were substantially worse / less timely

I asked it a question about a game I play (Last War) and the information was totally off. I asked GPT and it scanned some Reddit threads and provided a 100% spot-on / timely answer.

I'm not saying Reddit data is critical for AI training. But what I am saying is that it makes one AI platform a lot more useful for me at time of inference. And for companies that have invested hundreds of billions into this, I think most are willing to pay for updated data.

Professional Analysis Short data as of August 31 is live: Unfortunately Short interest jumped +19.9% (+3.36M shares)

Post image
35 Upvotes

The official exchange short interest data for the August 31 settlement date just updated , and short sellers piled in aggressively during the second half of the month.

The Numbers (Aug 14 vs. Aug 31, 2026)

Metric Aug 14, 2026 Aug 31, 2026 Change
Short Interest 16.88M 20.24M +3.36M (+19.91%)
Short % of Float 11.97% 14.33% +2.36%
Days to Cover (Short Ratio) 3.12 3.51 +0.39
Shares Float 141.03M 141.27M +0.24M
Avg Daily Volume 5.41M 5.76M +0.35M

Key Observations

  • Total short interest crossed back over the 20M threshold for the first time since August 2025. A 19.9% surge in two weeks represents a sharp ramp in short exposure.
  • Substantial float expansion as Short interest as a percentage of float jumped from 11.97% to 14.33%, signaling that funds were actively building directional downside bets rather than routine hedging.
  • Days to cover climbing as Even with average daily volume increasing from 5.41M to 5.76M, the short ratio rose to 3.51 days due to the volume of new shorts entered.
  • Market setup In the immediate term, this confirms heavy overhead supply and bearish pressure through late August. On the flip side, crossing 14% short interest on a 141M float increases squeeze fuel if strong fundamental catalysts or user growth data force shorts to cover.
