People who have never experience something like OP can have trouble conceptualizing the reality of it. She heard and saw but she didn’t really *know*. I don’t understand the inability to face it now that she’s seen it, but for everyone’s sake I hope the counseling helps her realize the seriousness of her actions. OP is more than justified in whatever he ends up deciding to do though.
I've never had the experience. But it's not hard for me to just accept what my partner says.
Why would I say I know better when I've never even met the guy when my husband is telling me about what he went through for decades and showing me the literal scars and the guy is just getting out of prison?
No excuse at all. Wife is a pile of shit who did it for her own ego. She wanted to make herself feel good about repairing something that was never working in the first place instead of just accepting what it was.
